| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Tears They streamed down his face as he sat with his back to a grave, his sword plunged into the soft earth next to him. He seemed to be straving himself, perhaps to die so he could meet with the one who's grave he was by in the afterlife. His resolve to die seemed strong, there was food around him, given to him by the villagers who seemed to care for the man's safety but he was ignorning them. He must have gone days without eating and he looked to be a good few days away from keeping over. He was begining to grow a beard eveident by the stubble on his face, and his brillant blue hair was all messy. He looked in sad shape "Take me to my Amelia, I no longer want to live in this cruel world without her!" he shouted out through tearful sobs. Very sad indeed. |

From nearby, the sound of a violin can be heard. A sad, slow song, something likely written for the dead: A Requiem. The melody drifts to Faust from a tree, and there, at its base, sat the source. A traveller, only a little older than Faust himself, likely, sat underneath the old willow tree, playing on a violin the most appropriate tune for the setting. When he hears Faust yell for death, he looks up, a little surprised, and catches sight of him. For a moment, he does nothing but stare, though he continues to play. |

Faust sighed and began to smash his head on the ground till it bled, "WHY DAMNIT WHY!!" as his head bled he began to pound the ground sobing with tears. She had been taken an illness that made her slowly breath her last breath. Her body bled from every pour slowly. It was a magically inflicted malady and he would find the sorcerer that placed it upon her, he would kill them, rip them apart. What the hell was he doing sitting her like a lump? Slowly he reached out and grabbed the newest piece of food, a leg of roast and dug into it hungerly, "Damn, best food I've eaten in a long time" the blood ran down his forehead, twas a minor wound and would eventually stop bleeding, it may leave a scar but he could get a healer to fix that later right now he focused on eating, "Gonna find that sorcerer and make him crap bricks" he nodded. It was then that he finally noticed the somber tunes and he looked in the general direction of the one playing them and sighed, they only mad him even sadder than he was, "Please cut that out" |

As Faust asks, the man stops playing, resting the violin at his side. He stands now, for he had seen Faust abusing both himself and the ground around him. Walking over towards him with a concerned air, he stands a few feet away, then crouches down on his heels, lowering himself to eye-level with Faust. "Seems that you're bleeding, my friend," said the musician, voice full of a friendly tone. He sounds concerned, truly concerned, for Faust's well-being. At this height and distance, Faust can make out the man's dark golden eyes, and see the golden tint to his skin: Like Faust himself, the man is an Aasimar. Unlike Faust, however, he is smiling. |

Annother Aasimar? Amazing, Faust was pleasently suprised when he saw the man was an Aasimar, unlike the man though Faust had very few of the telltale signs of his heritage. The only things that betrayed him were his aura of goodness and his piercing silver eyes, eyes that were full of both rage and great saddness. Faust smiled briefly and felt his forehead, "It seems I am bleeding, I may have hit my head too hard though it has given me clearer thoughts" he sighed and removed his sword from the dirt. it would need to be polished, its blue luster fading with the dirt that covered it, it needed a fresh washing too and then it would be as good as new. |

Without a moment's hesitation, Seth reaches a hand out, holding it directly over Faust's bleeding forehead. He chants quietly under his breath, sounding almost like a quiet song, as a green aura envelops both his hand and the wounded area. Slowly but surely the bleeding stops, and the wound heals over in mere moments once the spell gets going. He draws his hand back slowly when done, still smiling. He stands up, stretching slightly with arms to the sky, and letting out a slow, deep yawn. When he finishes, he looks back down at Faust, offering a hand out to help him up. "My name is Seth, by the way," he says with a smile, "May I ask yours?" |

Faust lets the healing light wash over him, healing him of his head wound, it is a warm light, calm and comforting. Faust smiles and says, "My name is Faust" and that is all he says as he now stands and dusts himself off. "If you wish to come with me then follow, I am leaving this village and the memories I made here in order to avenge the death of my wife". He then adds. "Because I'm done dwelling on the past". |

Silendra watched the glow and recognised it as a spell of healing, the one who performed it was obviously talented in the Holy ways. She followed at a discreet distance purely out of curiousity and a desire to know who had spoken the spell. She wore a hood which covered her face and hid her purple skin, she was careful about revealing her race as it could get her into all sorts of trouble. Suffice it to say that her race were not widely liked and it was probably for the best that she kept it hidden. She was careful to make little noise as she followed and she studied the two up ahead as she did so, that did not seem to be hostile but that could change at a moment's notice, she had to be ready for anything. |

He considered the offer for only a moment, before slowly shaking his head. "I can't travel with you, I'm afraid. My own road calls to me, and I must answer it." There was nothing to his voice that wasn't honest, and, as he returned to the tree that he had sat under earlier, he offered a bit of advice: "Don't let your quest for revenge consume you, Faust. It happens all too easily, all too quickly." He'd seen it happen before: People made deals with the devil, swore vengeance on their names. It was one reason Seth had decided to forgive any grievance against him, no matter how severe. |

"I don't think I would kill the sorcerer, I'd much rather make him feel exactly how I feel now, powerless, which is why I think I shall find a spell that seals away magic so he can never hurt another again" he nodded and turned, spying the one who had been following Seth, he waved, "Come join us, I'm sure you have something to say" he smiled, his voice had returned to its normal softness. |

Silendra could not help cursing softly to herself when one of the two before her spoke, calling her over. Again she had been discovered when she was trying to be stealthy, she shrugged and approached them. "Greetings, I am Silendra Llydin. I must ask, how did you know I was following you? I was certain I was out of sight, something I need to work on more, my stealth. Not that I intend either of you any harm," she added hastily, not wanting to make a bad impression. Her purple skin reflected the lights from nearby homes and her pointed ears were obvious for all to see. She cursed under her breath, she had forgotten to raise her hood and now these two would recognise her as a Drow. Would they attack her like so many others did when encountering a Drow. |

This man is playing with fire, thought Seth, somewhat saddened to see a person so deadset on vengeance. It puzzled him why people couldn't simply forgive others, though he was also puzzled as to why a person would ever do something needing forgiveness. We humans are indeed strange creatures, he decided. "Indeed you are, child." Again that new voice in his head, filled with wisdom and kindness, the voice of a pure Celestial. This time, though, there was a light facetious quality to it. "Did I ever tell you about how your grandparents met?" Her voice was again somewhat playful, dancing around the question. She hadn't, but he decided that it would have to wait for another time. This new arrival had taken him by surprise, though he didn't let it show. It wore off quickly enough, this woman seemed nice. He could tell she was clearly a drow, though he'd never felt particularly offset by them. "Hello there," he began, smiling and waving to her and adding, "the name's Seth." |

"Well met, I am Faust, and I had a feeling I was followed here to the grave site" he nodded, "The question now is what brings you to Kellen fair Drow?" he really was curious on what would bring a Drow up from the darklands so far out of the way. They usually preferred to stay in their hidden cities than to come up to the surface, still it was nice to see a pretty girl, pretty girls cheered him up, smiling and happy, it did him a lot of good to see people happy, it must have been his nature as a paladin that did that. "Nevertheless welcome to Kellen Silendra". |

Silendra smiled at Faust "Nice to meet you Faust," she said and listened as he explained how he knew she had been following him "Ah, then you have sharper senses than most. I find that it is quite easy to stalk and follow most humans, but you have proved yourself to be different," she smiled again. Then he asked her as to what brought her to Kellen "Well that is a long story Faust, one filled with many twists and turns. It is not the happinest of stories, suffice it to say I did not leave the Underdark under neither good or peaceful circumstances." |
