| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Fara're reclined in a large tree over looking the lake. The after noon sun warmed her body and made her drowsy. For once the were-tiger was not in her tiger form, but instead in her elven body. With the warmth of the day she had no need for her cloak and had it hanging on a near by tree branch. But she did keep the item within quick reach, for it was not a normal cloak but one that could make her invisable. A butterfly flew in a lazy winding path across her vision. Rashwe, Fara'res kitten played in the tall grass at the base of the tree. THe orange kitten seemed to be able to make anything and everything a toy. Today was one of those rare days were she could actually find peace and quite. Erolam was recently dead, so he was no longer seeking to kill her. And she had given the foolish werewolf the slip quite some time ago. Beside that dog had no idea what she looked like in her elven form. She yawned having difficultly keeping her mind on any one thing. With minutes the elf was sound alseep in the tree. |

Falcas wandered the forest, muttering to himself about various things. He had just had a fight with a bandit, who was lying on his side holding his unmentionables and mewing like a newborn kitten. Falcas had taken his helmet, which was a bit too large for him. Having a stroke of brilliance, to him at least, he remembered how some of the dwarves back home adjusted their helmets. He walked up to a random tree and slammed his head against it, denting the helmet. He did this a few times as he made his way to the lake. Unlike normal elves and humans, who would be holding their heads about now, Falcas was a dwarf, whose bones were only out-hardened by giants. Cursing, the helmet split down the middle. Too big. Chucking it to the ground, he nearly hit a cat sitting at the base of it. Falcas looked up, eyes passing over the green dent where he had slammed his head. He spotted a form in the tree. Curious, he stood on tiptoe and poked it with his mace. |

Fara're fought to stay asleep as the noise Falcas was making resonated through the forest. When he started poking her with his mace she finally opened an eye and looked down at him. An annoyed groan emenated from her throat. "Didn't your mother ever teach you not to poke sleeping elves?" she asked. She decided it was pointless to try and go back to her nap, seeing that a noisy dwarf was no present. Instead she ajested herself so the she was sitting on the tree branch like it was bench. Rashwe suddenly seemed to have noticed the dwarf. The small kitten let out a soft hiss and her furr puffed out. THere was a flash of orange as she scambled up the tree to bury herself in Fara're's lap. To comfort the kitten Fara're placed her hands on the little animal and started to pet her. "Oh look now what you have done. You scared my baby," she said to the dwarf. |

Falcas cocked his head at the elf. “She tried. But i'm a hard learner.” He said with a chuckle. “Besides. What sort of elf sleeps in trees?” He asked curiously. It was then he noticed a bit of metal sticking from his forehead. Picking it out carelessly, he eyed the kitten. As she reprimanded him for scaring the cat, he shot her a confused look, trying to see the connection between her and the feline, trying to make the connection. Not getting it, he shrugged helplessly. “Why're ye out here alone anyhow, elf? Not very smart for someone like you...” He said, catching himself at the last second. He blushed a bit. “bah.” he said, turning his head, picking up the helmet. He kicked it idly. |

Fara're smirked when he asked what kind of elf slept in trees. "I know quite a few who can fall alseep in trees. But let us just say I am not your normal kind of elf," she said. She set the kitten down next to her. Gripping the branch with her hand she leaned backwards and let her selfwing upside down. She let the momentum take her and flipped out of the tree to land on her feet right in front of the dwarf. "And not smart for me being alone?" she asked raising an eyebrow. "You do know that forests are home for my people. Besides I am a big girl and can take care of myself. Why...not too long ago I killed a demon! I also have been fighting off a werewolf for some time now." She smiled at the dwarf with a friendly gleem in her eyes. She stood with an easy stance that would let any trained warrior know that she was a fighter of no small skill. Even if she wore no armor or obvious weapon. |

Falcas watched the woman, chuckling to himself. “But yer a girl!” he said. Honestly, he had met some fierce women fighters, many of them dwarven women with a beard, but this one in particular didn't strike him as too dangerous. She did look quite agile, however and that in itself was dangerous enough. The dwarf cocked a bushy eyebrow at her. “I don't see why one such as yerself would be able to kill a demon by yer lonesome. Probably wasn't even a full demon anyhow.” He snorted at her, unbelieving. Watching her to see if any of his goading had any effect, he sniffed and plucked a blade of grass from his tunic. “I see no reason to fear ye, lass. Ye've no weapons.” |

"What does me being a girl have to do anything about it?" she asked. "You think women can't fight as well as men?" She placed a hand on her hip and gave him an annoyed look. In truth she really was not annoyed. She found the little dwarf humorous. "But truth be told the one I killed was a satry who had infused himself with a very powerful demon. He also had quite a bit of magic on his side. And there was a rather handsome fellow who saw it as an honor to aid me," she said. She raised an eyebrow as he said something about him having no reason to fear her. "No weapons huh?" she asked. As if out of no where she pulled out two daggers from her belt and showed them to him before hiding them again. She then pulled out a shuirken and threw it with a flick where it embeded itself deep in a tree. "I have those weapons." She suddenly turned an struck a tree with her fist. The tree shook and several leaves fell down to the ground. When she pulled her hand back a crack could be seen in the strong bark. She presented her hand to show no injury to it. "But my hands and feet are my primary weapons," she said smiling. She wondered how much his opinion would change of her if she transformed. He would likely not think her as harmless as he did now. |

Falcas couldn't help but to grin as she grew frustrated, pulling out several small blades, flicking one in a tree. The first thing Falcas asked himself was how many of them it would take to stop him. Falcas chuckled at her daggers. He had taken his fair share of stabs, having a few scars on his chest to show. “Ye've no real weapons, how about that. Daggers, little shiny stars. They're pointy bits of metal.” He raised his eyebrows. “I'd like to see yer beat a tiger with them little things.” He said. Her punching the tree made him laugh. He nodded, waving an arm around them, at the many trees with such dents and bigger. “I make bigger holes fixing my armor, lass.” He watched her carefully. He studied his hand curiously. “But i'd like to see how ye do it, i'll give yer that much.” |

Fara're almost doubled over with laughter at the dwarfs ironic statment of how he would like to see her beat a tiger with her weapons. She wondered how he would react to see her *turn* into a tiger! But she of course did not want to show him that she was a were-tiger...not yet anyways. She wiped a way a tear and she stiffled her laughter. "Oh I'm sorry...but that was kind of funny. Because you see...I can beat a tiger with the weapons I have. Trust me...there is much more to me than meets the eye. Also it does not matter the size of a hole you make. What matters is where and how well you place it. A single arrow can slay a giant after all." Just to pull his chain a bit she decided to test out her newest item she recently picked up from a merchant. Wings suddenly sprouted from her feet and she lefted off the ground. She smiled down at the dwarf as she hovered about a foot over his head. "Told you...more to me than meets the eye," she said with wink. |

Falcas cocked a bushy eyebrow at her as she laughed. At her explanation, he laughed as well. “Lass, i'd like to see how well an arrow, star, knives, anything ye throw at me works on me.” He winked at her. “Try it!” He said, laughing. He pulled the large golden-bronze shield off his back, slipping his left arm through the loops. He also tugged his battleaxe off his back, which had been hidden beneath the shield. Taking it in one hand, he winked at the cat. “Some neat toy's i've got here. More'n enough makes up fer the nice flaming morningstar I had.” He bellowed with laughter. “Place yer 'arrow' and see how well it works.” He challenged her, eyeing her boots with an amused glance. |

Fara're floated backwards a few feet than landed back to the ground, making sure she was out of the dwarf striking range. She smirked at the dwarf as he settled into a fighting stance. The were-tiger in elf form found it amusing that he though he could beat her. She highly doubted it. "So you want to test your skills again me?" she asked. "I accept your challange. Let just try not to kill each other." From up in the tree Rashwe hissed at Falcas. The kitten never liked it when someone pulled a weapon on her mom. Fara're uttered something in elvish and the kitten immidiately calmed and sat down to watch the battle. Fara're then returned her gaze to the dwarf her emerald eyes glinting with confidence. she did not even shift into a fighting stance, but just stood there calm and at ease. A small smirk was on her face as she waited for the dwarf to make the first move. |

Falcas chuckled, belly rumbling. “Very well then.” He winked and cocked his arm back, slinging it forward with all his dwarven strength. The battleaxe in hand flew through the air, spinning Fara're's way swiftly. He ran towards the elf, leaping and swinging his heavily enchanted shield at her. The dwarf hit the ground in a roll, hitting his hand on his shield loudly, disturbing the forest's inhabitants. Unstrapping his mace, the dwarf began to swing at her knees gleefully, humming an old battle tune. “come then, elf. Let's see what you've got, eh?” He taunted, more teasing than actual anger. Bending forward at the waist, he poked his tongue out at her and wiggled it back and forth. |

Fara're dodged the thrown axe with a simple side step. A thing like that would never hit her anyways. She was actually fairly impressed that the dwarf was able to roll with that shield and get back up. She danced backward with an easy grace as he swung at her with her mace. For now she would just have fun with the short fellow. She kept moving back, side stepping and dodging all his attacks giving with no more than an inch to spare. All the while she had a small smile on her face. She threw no attack back at him, but instead just avoided being hit herself. Her agility and speed was quite useful in that...and she had not even transformed. If she did, he would have an even harder time hitting her. She dodged one attack with a graceful back flip and landed a few feet away. "Is that all you have?" she teased. "And I had heard all these stories of the fighting powers for the dwarves." |

Falcas frowned as she dodged all his attacks. “Stand still, ye bastardly elf. Is this how ye fight? Dancing and prancing? Bah!” He cursed at her, eyebrows furrowed. “Stories ye'll find true if ye just. Stand. Still!” He let his mace fly at her left side, right hand behind him and swinging at her with his shield, meaning to hit her with its bashing enchantments. While he brought his right hand out to fara're's right side, he snorted a word out and with a flash, his battleaxe returned to his hand instantly from about twenty feet behind the two. His axe swung in from the right, mace from the left, and shield from the front. She wouldn't be able to dodge him forever. Bouncing backwards, he clanged his axe against his shield. “Hit me, prancer!” He bellowed laughingly. He may not be able to jump and spin, but he could take a hit, bash through a gate, defeat a pack of gnolls, and chop down a tree singlehandedly. |

Fara're just laughed at how frustrated the dwarf was getting. "First rule of fighting...it does not matter how hard you swing a weapon. It matters how accurately you swing it!" she said. "Also one must test the skills of their opponant to find their weakness and then exploit them." When he said 'hit me!" she grinned. "With pleasure," she purred. She jumped up bring her knees to her chest. As she rose into the air the leaned forward causing her to fall towards the dwarf. She placed a hand on his shoulder to help send herself over his head. She smiled down at him as she gracefully flew over him. With a flip and landed with her back to his. The instand her feet touched the ground she balled her right hand into a fist and placed in the left plam. She shoved her right elbow into the dwarf's back with enough strength to send a grown human flying. But she knew it was not enough to send a stocky dwarf flying. With a deft spin she twirled around to send her left hand in a 'karate chop' down onto Falcas, where the neck met the shoulder. Again this was a blow that would have inconpasitated a normal human, but this was no human. She smiled at him. Her smile was all she needed to do to tell him that she was not using all of her strength and was in fact going easy on him. |
