Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Celebriel walked along the edge of the lake. She found the forest of Norwood a quite and comforting place. She especially liked it close to the cool waters of the lake. She did have a bit of an affinity for water and ice after all.

The half dragon couched down and ran a clawed hand through the water sending small ripples to spread out from the finger tips. She released a bit of magic into the water and caused a few pieces of ice to form.

She felt strong magic inside of her, but she still needed much practice to tap into its power. Small spells like this were just a way to practice and learn control. She could after all freeze quite a bit of the water in the lake, but good would that do.

A gentle wind sent her silver hair fluttering about. She lifted her head as she thought she heard someone approaching.

The last time he had been in Norwood, he had been in self denial, or self pity. He had been afraid of being wanted, and being caught to be killed, though, in that time, a part of him wished he had been executed. But, since that time, he had found joy, happiness, and actually a place to live. Shadeen had helped him achieve that, letting him work on her farm, for a place to stay. It had been nice, not being constantly hunted... but then, a man had came, called Fehade, and destroy Shadeen, she was no longer the cheerful human that Fios remembered. Her skin was destroyed, and so was her spirit it seemed. The farm no longer seemed like a home, just another place to torment him.

Fios, now walked towards the lake. He had left Seer close to the road, which she didn't complain. He was grim looking again, the joy that had touched him was long gone now, of course, he tried not to seem grim about Shadeen, but it was quite hard. He wore a cloak his shoulders, the hood was down though, showing his shaggy hair and dim blue eyes.

He soon made it to the lake, but stopped with what he saw there, by the lake. What was she doing here?! He hesitated where he was, as more flashbacks came to him, the fear was almost overwhelming, and his eyes grew even dimmer. Finally, he pulled himself to reality, and walked slowly towards the lakes edge.

"How come, whenever I seem to come here... I find you?" He grumbled, but loud enough for her to hear.

Celebriel stood up as Fios approached. She simply shrugged at his question.

"Perhaps it is fate," she said. "It has been a while since you and I last parted ways. I know you don't like half-dragons, but why don't you humor me a bit of a chat. How have you been?"

She spoke in a calm serene voice that could only come from those of elven decent. Her ice blue eyes sparkeled with a kind friendly look. The half-dragon gave Fios a soft smile. She knew good and well he dispised her for what she was, but that was not going to stop her from trying to seek his friendship.

If she was ever going to get past the reputation her birth had given her, she would need to prove to people like Fios that she was no monster. Her kind smile show that she truely was interested in what he had been up to.

She sat down by the edge of the lake and gestured for him to likewise. "Has something happened?" she asked with concern in her voice. "You look much grimmer than you did last I saw you."

Fate... Fios had to admit he hated it. It was the same fate that leads him to Sava and almost gets him killed all the time. Humor her... a half dragon? He sighed, it wouldn't do him good to fight with her now, not with what has happened lately in the past couple weeks. Now it came to the question everyone seemed to ask. How has he been. He was unable to say anything to that. He could he describe how he's been? Terrible? Feeling lost, and frightened all the time? He merely shook his head slightly as a shudder ran down his spine.

As she sat down, and gestured for him, he hesitated, but reminded himself he didn't want to fight, so sat down a little awkward at being here still.

"Has something happened? You look much grimmer than you did last I saw you."

"Its that noticeable, is it?" He said, and laughed, but it was hollow. "Something happen... yeah. A close friend was thrown into a shed and almost burned to death... something I've seen to much." He whispered the last part, the smell of burning flesh seemed to come to him from nowhere, and images from the war, of wretched forms burnt to a crisp, elves running around frantically trying to put out flames... He rubbed his arm where burn marks were still visible from that day.

"Since leaving the war... I was hoping I'd never have to deal with fire and getting people out of it." Wars left scars on people. He had them physically, and mentally.

The half-dragons blue eyes filled with sadness as she heard about what had happened to his friend. She turned her eyes away from him not wanting him to think she was showing him sympathy. Sympathy seemed like something that a strong man like Fios niether needed nor appreaciated.

"I am sorry to hear of the pain your friend suffered, but glad to hear that this important person to you lives yet. As long as someone lives, they still have hope. And it will also give you and your friend a chance for revenge upon the monster who did this to you," she said.

She reached out and touched the calm water of the lake. A few pieces of ice formed as she released some of her magic into the water. "Fire...something that is a complete opposite of me. I can barely stand being close to a camp fire...be trapped in a buring building..." she shook her head and let the thought drop.

She looked up at Fios. "I know you do not consider me a friend...but if you are ever in need of a sorceresses help...don't hesitate to ask anything of me. I am looking into learninig a bit of scrying, I might be able to find who did this and tell you where they are."

((oops...wrong account. suppose to be Celebriel))

He listened to her speak, then laughed silently. "Revenge? Why is everyone addicted to revenge? It doesn't help with anything, at least... I don't believe it does. But Shadeen will most likely want revenge..." He said, his voice still grim. Maybe he should start taking revenge a bit more seriously, it seemed like it was what everyone wanted to do in this land, it seemed to be everyone's favorite sport lately, he just never liked it, if he had gotten revenge on his sister, he would have probably lose control and kill her, which would make him right of the crime he had supposedly committed.

He glanced at her when she spoke of fire, then back to the water. Others thought differently about fire, like the demon who hurt Shadeen.

He shook his head lightly at her offer. One thing, he didn't like her, but that would never stop him from asking for his friends sake, and another, he already had an idea of who it might be. "I have an idea who might've done it..." He said thinking, remembering passing the man when he had left for Fios, he was stupid for not seeing trouble.

((OOC: oops... wrong account too...))
