| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

"Damn..and I thought he'd show" Anzell sighed as he sat atop his corpse pile that he had carted over in a wagon. He had heard the stories that some fiend stalked the marsh as its ruler and this intrigued him, enough that he decided to dig up some bodies and set them all in a rotting pile atop a cart and wheel it out into the center of the marsh. The wait was the worst part, Anzell had very little patience and this little escapade was wearing his nerves thin, very thin. "Well..this is boring" the small insects that were gathering began to fly away but not before he caught a dragon fly and bit into it, sucking it down like candy, "MMMMM Tasty hehehahamuwhahahaha!!" he let out an evil laugh as he was prone to do from time to time and sighed heavily, "I'm bored" and through a rock from his pocket into the marsh. |

The smell of death was in the air and it was beautiful. Some had preservatives, as was common among the foolish concept of funerals. That was as clear sign as any that someone was trying to gather his attention with gifts. Last time it turned out a bounty hunter, and it probably was another one. Still, Vernon could resist such wonderful calling, even if it weren't in his marsh. Vernon flew upon bat-like wings over the marsh below. He made no attempt to hide his horrific scent. He didn't care if he alerted his strange new guest, the guest knew the master of the marsh was coming anyways. Vernon soon spied his guest, some wacko hardly armed. If he was a bounty hunter he was defiantly a mage of some sort. "Who might I ask is this guest who bears gifts for the Master of the Marsh?" Vernon asked as he made his landing upon the mound of cadavers. (bleh short, but good enough for this |

"Lets just say I'm a fan of your work, I cam seeking the demon of the Marsh..I had no idea it was a rat" he said the word rat with an air of superiority. This was only natural for he was a snake, and snakes ate rats for breakfast, though he was well aware that this one was stronger than him, this rodent far surpassed his skills and thus he needed to be cautious around him lest he lose a limb, or worse. "I come seeking information on the marsh itself, I heard there was some rare poisons located here, you could say I'm interested in the toxins of plants, specifically poisons that cause quick death of brain cells, you wouldn't happen to know anything about them would you?" he smiled revealing his snake fangs, hollow fangs that contained a mild toxin that caused necrosis in the skin. "I'm a simple man seeking information, from one death dealer to another, in exchange for this information I offer you this cart full of bodies I happened across on the way here, what do you say?" |

(cells haven't at all been discovered yet) How bothersome, the fool had a notably lack of respect for one asking of favors. He'd come to the right place for his desires, just not in the proper manner. Still, Vernon was in a good mood. He would have to keep his lessons to verbal ones, though he doubted they would do any good. "You speak with little respect for one requesting services, But I will overlook that misdeed since you were smart enough to come bearing gifts. There is much that I can teach you of toxins and poisons," Vernon replied before gesturing to the bodies beneath his bodies. "This however isn't suitable payment for such teachings. It's has earned your passage as guest rather than a toy to be play with at my discretion, but such matters can be discussed later. For now tell me who you are, oh 'simple man', and maybe a little about yourself while you are at it," Vernon said before bending down to snap off an arm from the body he was standing on. Hardly any decay, yet he was in the mood to sample it anyways. The arm belong to an elf, a race Vernon found quite delicious. Vernon nibbled on the arm as he waited on the Half-fiend's reply. |
