| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Kalia, the tiefling bladedancer, was not phased at all when her spell missed. It was not really intened to do much damage anyways. The tielfling noticed that the roof was not well suited to supporting the vampire's wieght. Her lighter form would give her an advantage in this, as she could move about more easily without fear of falling through. She sprang back as their blades came apart. Her feet landed easily on the uneven battle field and positioned themselves in a strong stance. Even though she was small, it was obvious she would not be easily nocked over. Silence filled the air. She did not respond to the vampire's comment or even seem to take notice of his words. The battle was on, and that was all that mattered in her world right now. To fight, to defend yourself, to cut the opponant, to win. She twirled her blade in an elegant fashion and brought it before her holding onto the hilt with both hands. Red eyes watched the vampire as she waited for him to make the next move...to make a mistake. |

Draco watched as she twirled her blade easily as she seemed to be all in on the focus of the battle. She was focused to an extent of having a pure battle blood. A doom guard seemed to be the best thing she had been in her life. Although Draco noticed her light intentions of talking as she ignored him. He felt the the light sinking of the roof deep under his boots. He seemed to take notice that she knew he was a bit heavy for the roof. Draco quickly sprung forward with a fast lunge forward. His blade was sturdy and his left hand now showed a light purple gleam to it as his finger tips grew. His vampiric speed might have caught her off guard as he sent his blade at her chest. A loud tone of music rang about the night as it echoed through out the village. Draco scanned her footing as his foot nudged hers' to loose balance. His footing was nicely placed as he pressed against her blade. Watching for her next dancing counter he reached his hand meters from her hip as he sent a quick magic missile to her side. She would have to move quickly to not get hit by it and if she did she would suffer a cut do to his force behind his blade. If she dodged the magic missile the blades would release and she would be lightly wounded by his blade's Velocity.. |

His speed did little to phase her. Pure blood demons has similar feats of speed. The moment he swung his blade she took a dive to the side. She accepted the stinging magic missle to the side. He demon nature made her a bit more resistant to magic that most beings. THe missle would hurt her less than the blade. She passed by quickly. As she did so she slipped her blade in and aimed to cut his side. With his sword in the other hand he would have little chance to block and with their close proximity he would have little chance to dodge. She still had more tricks she could pull. But she would not let him see all of her skills just yet. |

He was simply playing with her as he seemed to realize the missile was lightly taken. She must have been of a demon descent or born with demonic abilities. Draco figured that would change everything. Regardless of her demonic traits and clever Shadow Dance for her style to kill he watched as she lunged forward. Draco trying to side step out of the quick strike with her other sword felt the deep slice to his left forearm. Draco quickly jumped back as he sank his boots into the roof. A loud snap was heard as he smiled. It had worked his weight broke the balance of the roof. Now it was of a seesaw, slamming his boots into the roof made the tieflings end fly upward. Draco watched as she would either charge him or jump off the roof onto the ground. Draco ready to jump off hoped she charged considering it would make him have the advantaged if she was at a limy height. He watched close as his blade stretched out as he held it in front of him lightly and elegantly as he twirled it about.. |

As the beam under her feet began to fly into the air Kalia crouched down tightening her leps. As the beam reached the top of its asent she sprang up and was sent flying through the air. She flew towards Draco coming down at a sharp angle. Her sword lead her desent and her other hand looked to be holding something behind her. It seemed likely that she was holding a dagger or some similar weapon. In truth she was holding a simple looking card. A simple looking magic card she could turn into another sword. |

Draco's eyes flickered upward as a gleam of Silver sparked deep within them. He was happy that the incline sent her his way, in fact it's what he wanted. He cared not for her posture or bent legs as she was sent flying towards him. What he was more concerned about was a simple card. He took a quick glimpse as he spotted a sword on one side of the card. Looking back to her upper body watched as her blade was ready to strike him. He lightly winked to her. His hand light up with a mass of purple mist as his left palm was eventually engulfed in the magical energy. Draco leaped back freely into the air with a grin and sent the Magic missile to a weak spot in the buildings roof. He sent them where he was standing as he watched the velocity of the tiefling be uncontrolled as to where she would land. A medium sized hole was created where she would land. She would land on nothing and fall through the roof. She might with her skills be able to land from the fall but the wooden mass underneath would prove lethal at her rate of speed. Draco swayed in the air as he held his blade to his side as his cloak slithered about the midnight wind. His mind was free and performed a nice acrobatic back flip as he landed about the wishing well in the center of the city. The villagers looked out of the windows as they doused the lights. Draco watched as he would wait for the tiefling to regain her ground and re approach him... |

As Kalia saw that she was falling towards a hole in the room she quickly grabbed at different item in her belt pouch. A small blue stone. She uttered the activation word and a magic circle erupted around her. As soon as that happened she disapeared. She reapeared inside of the building she would have fallen into...hidden and out of sight in the shadows. A smirk crossed her lips. The vampire was a smart one with many tricks up his sleave. But so was she. She crouched down in the darkness of the building...now with a huge hole in its roof. The rest of the roof did not look to be in too good of shape. She stayed there in the darkness concentrating. She was surpressing her demonic powers...making it harder for her aura...or yuoki, as her kind sometimes called it, to be sensed. She waited paitently for the vampire to come after her....only a fool would believe that she had fled the battle...one like her does not run unless it is absolutely required. |

Draco quickly watched as a Blue gem erupted from her pouch on her waist. Draco smirking focused on the blue aura that surrounded her as he eyes lost her in seconds. She was gone the gem had made her teleport either below the buildings roof or possibly fled the battle. Draco was lightly concerned as he turned to the tavern entrance. The door was held open from the fall wind. The darkness of the tavern made nothing visible and the scent of her was gone. He knew he was dealing with a advanced fighter and easily would enjoy her efforts to try and make him think she wasn't there. Draco quickly moved his right leg forward as he bent it lightly, moving his hand upward twirled his blade in a defense like stature. His balance perfect and his eyes stuck on the swallowing darkness of the tavern's empty space. His eyes began to flicker as he watched intently, the flickering silver would have made others scowl to such a cold look. His mouth curled to a grin as he waited for her to strike. He had patient and fighting blind was simply something he was good at. He had many encounters with those using the technique of globe of darkness. Draco was ready, ready fro the clash of blades to sing the lovely tone of fate between each of the talented warriors. His eyes stuck wide and ready as the grin left his face. The grin decimated to a light smile as he watched. His hand firm and ready for the elegant motions of his blade. "Don't want to play?..hmm..." His voice rang with a taunting tone as he waited for the tiefling to rush towards him. He knew she was there in the everlasting darkness of the shadows... |

A smirk crossed Kalia's face. This was one of the few times any hint of a smile ever formed on the tiefling's face. The fool had walked right into her trap. She had purposely teleported herself to a dark hidden corner of the room where she could survay the room, but could not be seen. On top of that she had coving on all sides of her, which would come in quite hand in just a few seconds. Not even making a whisper of a sound she lifted a hand and point one elegant finger at the damaged roof. She quickly shot off three magic missles at weak points in the roof. The ceiling growned in protest before the whole thing came crashing down. She watched from her shelter and large pieces of wood and tile fell to the floor all around the vampire. She was hoping the creature would get buried, but did not keep her hope up too high. He could still have many trick to pull on her. |

A loud snap rang from above As draco felt the wieght from a nice wooden plank slam into his shoulder. Then another crashing into his right arm. Quickly realizing what had happened he place his right foot forward and left foot slightly turned as he gave weight upon his feet as the wooden planks came tumbling about ready to bury him. Thrusting in a backward motion Draco could sense her blood she was in a corner of the building. Sliding out of the door way Draco examined the foundation of the building. It was too firm to come cascading down on her and her last trick was indeed clever. Draco looked to his arm as he felt a light bruise about it. It was a simple pain as it scattered away from his body quickly. His eyes moved along the building as he walked around to the right corner and easily strung his blade between the panels of the wood. The blade slipping through quickly would soon find out if his dear Tiefling was about in such a corner. Pulling the blade out there was no blood Draco had only one corner left. Jumping to his feet desire landed just to the side of the whole in the ceiling. Slipping through the whole spoke, "Tricky Tricky girl." Draco lunged forward as his legs slammed through the table chairs as if they were butter in the way of a knife. His blade swung forward as he saw the tie fling's eyes he was precise and ready for anything as his left hand began to brew a evil magic.. |

The vampire had not been buried as Kalia had hoped for. But she knew that after being battered like he had that he would have many bruises and his muscles would be soar. She tensed her legs as she saw him coming towards her hinding spot. Her grip on her sword tightened as she reached into a belt pouch with her free hand. The patient warrior wait till Draco was upon her before she reacted. She came up as she side stepped. Their blades rang as she swung hers to block his. Her free hand came forward and she spoke a magic word. The card she had in her hand suddenly became a second longsword. With his sword to the side and his torso exposed Kalia hoped to send the blade right through his stomach. It would be a difficult move to dodge. If she missed the vital organs, she would settle for leaving a nasty gash in his side. |
