| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Shadeen sat in the darkness, the moon reflecting off the pool of water in front of her. She was almost glad that the night was cool. She wore a dress, something she would never normally have done, however pants irritated her skin now and dresses hid the skin better. On top of her black dress was an equally black cloak, the hood pulled up over her face to hide it in shadows. She felt like crying. She couldn’t stand being at the farm anymore. Normally she would have wandered into the barn late at night but now… now she needed to get away, to stop being reminded of that terrible night. She shuddered with fear and rage every time she thought about it. Fehade! How she would have liked to have wrapped her arms around him and hold him in that hell he made with her. Now she really did want to cry. She closed her eyes and willed the sadness and self-pity away. She would never feel again in some places, the nerves were so damaged it was amazing she could feel anything at all. Her skin was a mix of dark red and white patches, and it would have felt waxy if she could have felt it. She stared into the lake and wished herself into oblivion, knowing it wouldn’t come. |

Gabe scrambled over the land putting some distant's between the village behind him that had unceremoniously ran him out of town. The night before, Saporta had been happily enjoying himself to some mead and then he awoke to find half the town at his door. They had came at him with pitchforks and other odd weapons that they must have picked up on the way. Sadly, he had no time to ask question before they pushed him far out into the country side. By the time Gabe had lost them, he himself was completely lost. With his ego rather hurt, he had marched on looking for some sign of civilization and that is when he found the human. 'Hello there, I was wondering if you could help me," Gabe said politely as he walked up on the woman. He was in good shape, skinny as hell as usual, other than a couple scrapes along his body. |

Shadeen started at the sound of another voice. She reached up and pulled her hood closed with both hands, trying to make sure nothing of her face could be seen, before she stood up and faced the person who had spoken. She could barely make him out in the darkness. She shifted her weight from one foot to another trying to make something out but soon gave up and spoke. “Hi. I’m Shadeen,” It took her a second to realize what it was he had asked of her. “Help you?” How could she help anyone when she couldn’t even help herself. A wave of self-loathing washed over her and Shadeen’s shoulders slumped visibly. She hung her head but answered anyway. “What do you need help with?” |

Gabe walked a little quicker to stop a few feet off from the girl. Gabe's reptilian parts were hid by the night light such as his slit eyes and the patches of scales on his arms. However, when he talked he sounded something like a snake as he hissed many of his words. While he always liked to believe that he was moving farther and farther away from his upbringing, there was always something tugging on him. "I was just wondering where I am," Gabe said as he looked around. The dark covered the female's face so he did not even see any of the burn marks and he was still way to flustered to notice how the woman was portraying herself. |
