| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Tsukihime was walking slowly within the streets of Kellen, unaware of her surroundings at first. She had just woke up, in the middle of a dirty alley, rats scurrying about, her eyes, unable to see. No matter how hard she tried, she could not remember anything. These simple things, instilled the sense of fear in her mind. Who was she? where was she? why was she here? these answers remained blank. Like a drone, she walked along the streets, bumping into people, who yelled at her, slowly, she could start to listen to her surroundings, it was a moment before she could use it well, but with her ears she realised she could start to Hear her surroundings instead of seeing them. Trying to find her thoughs, she hid behind a small crate, near an alley, hidden from most... |

Fehade had been out in the Debon Plains all day, practicing with his two katanas, and slaughtered an unfortunate farmer who happened to walk by. It won't be long before someone found that body, maybe a day or two, but not three. He strode towards the town, his mood light, and not as angry as he normally is. He was going to get his revenge soon, and it was certainly a thing to be happy about. Today, he held a different appearance. He was still tall, and had long black hair, buthis skin wasn't as pale, and he didn't have his red eyes, he made it so that they were a dark blue. Other then that he looked almost the same, except he didn't have the horns on his head. He wore his dark clothing, which was all black, but he didn't wear his chain mail. Behind him as he walked, just a step behind him was Evier, his nightmare horse, but it was in human form, as young woman, with long black hair, and she wore a long black dress, her movements amazingly graceful. He reached the edge of the village, and to take a "shortcut", he went down a alley, not even taking notice of a young girl there. He just continued on out into the street, the tavern close by. |

The little girl heard the man and the woman grow near her, so she grabed her knees and hid there as well as he could, slowly they had passed her, without any moves or anything to her intent. Somehow, these two felt diferent than most people in this town, they seemed so...unatural, the sounds echoed in her ears, now getting used to hearing enough to compensate her lack of sight. Her fear was mixed with curiosity, and so she slowly walked out of her spot, and crawled behind the man and woman, attempting to sneak like all child sneak, in a clumsy . not very sneaky manner. She was lucky though, her natural agility saved her from falling down since her atention was now on these misterious people instead of on her surroundings, slowly, she crawled after Fehade and Evier.. |

They continued on their way. Quickly closing the distance to the tavern, but Evier glanced behind her, and noticed the girl following them, trying to be sneaky as it seemed, but it didn't work well. Evier looked at Fehade's back, and quickened her pace to walk alongside her tiefling master. "The ragged dirt is following us." She whispered to him, and he merely nodded once. Once they reached the tavern, instead of going in, they changed their directions to the mouth of a small alley, and stopped there. Fehade turned around to look at the girl, and Evier, looking completely disgusted, stood behind Fehade, looking over his shoulder. It just seemed to be a little street urchin to him. If he wasn't in the public, the little girl would already be bleeding on the ground. But she seemed a bit odd. When Fehade looked at her, he noticed she was blind, well, she appeared so, it was hard to tell really. But the clumsiness of her told him enough. He didn't care for the girl, but he didn't want to be followed through the tavern with the girl on his heels. He sighed, once again hating being in a town. He turned his gaze to looked through the crowds of people, plenty went to the tavern, and others to their homes for dinner. His gaze soon snapped back to the girl. Decided to ignore it, he looked to Evier, waving a hand towards a small general store and handing her a coin purse. "Go get some supplies so we can leave tomorrow. I'm sick of this place, and Mara will be expecting us soon." He said, and the nightmare walked off. |

A soft voice issued from behind him, one that was dripping with pride and an almost irresistable sheen. "Fehade, my child! So good to see you again. And how is Hakri on this grand day?" Yaksha was wearing a quite superlfuous outfit today, a large tophat and a suit seemed to be spun of pure gold. He gave a chuckle that seemed almost as smooth as molten honey. "But, enough of that. I notice the Lady Evier is with you tonight." He gave a winning smile at Evier, and pulled his tophat off, bowing gracefully. "A pleasure to see both of you again." |

The young girl gasped as she heard a voice behind her, the reaction was that of a child, and blind of course. She seeked refuge. somewhere safe. Darting out of her hideing spot with unsuspected agility from a blind girl, she dashed straight between Eviers legs. Under the surge of stress, her other emotions where suppressed, allowing her to fully use her natural talent at moving even though blinded. She ran to something safe...or atleast something strong and powerfull, something that weilded power and felt reassuring. She did not see, so she reacted by instinct. Without even realising it, she grabed and huged tight the leg of a man that might kill her, or save her, she did not know. Yes the young girl was clinging to fehade! |

Fehade froze when he heard a familiar voice. A thin smile slid unto his hard cruel features, as he turned to look at Yaksha. His eyes merely darkening at the sight of the older half-fiend. "Nice to see you also, Yaksha." He hissed coldly at the man. Then Yaksha noticed Evier. After he bowed to the nightmare, she did a slight curtsy, before leaving to go do the shopping, but had stopped when there was some rustling of a panicked girl, that ran by her, and to Fehade, and clung to his leg. Fehade was completely taken by surprised of the girl that clung to him. He stared down at her, his eyes wide with surprise. His right hand edging towards his sword. But words from Rraezanon told him not to harm the little one, much to his disappointment. He tried to shake the girl off his leg. Fehade's eyes almost held a helplessness, and annoyance. If he can't kill her, how could he get her away without harming her. Sighing in annoyance, he cursed Rraezanon for having annoying requests. "Annoying little street urchin, get off!" He snarled. |

Slowly, the girls hands let go of Fehades leg. she stumbled about trying to find something else to cling to...and soon found the legs of a woman. Being a young girl with no memories of her mother, her instincts once again blasted out, forcing her to clutch to evier this time. "s-scared...please, i-i just want..." then she suddenly realised, she didnt even know what she wanted. Why was she so afraid? what where all these emotions? This man had caused her terrible fear, and she started to feel a new feeling inside...hate. She loathed this man that had caused her fear. Her mind raced as she realised that the cold man with Evier, Fehade, did not seem to like him either. They had a point in common... Slowly she let go of Evier, as the first signs of her recklessness showed. Slowly, the fear within her grew weaker, as the hate increased. Out of the blue, as she lightly turned her head sideways towards Yakshas general direction, she simply said... "i loath you...i hate you..." She felt more relaxed now that her emotions were clear, her ears lightly twitched at every sound, the buzzing of people in the far away streets, a cat running after a bird, the breathing of the 3 beings with her...the clinking of a sword... |

Yaksha's voice was infnitely understanding and compassionate. "Why, my dear, there's no reason to hate me." He stooped so he was before Tsukihime, a warm chuckle ringing in his voice. "I'm your friend, little girl!" He reached behind his back, and with a flourish, he pulled forth a box of sweets, the smell wafting through the air. "I'll bet you're hungry. They're delicious, trust me." He grabbed one of his own peices of candy, popping into his mouth. "Nothing to be afraid of, little one. I just came to talk to my good friend." He rose, and nodded dismissively at Fehade. "She is quite the little girl, no?" He pulled off his hat, and threw it over his shoulder. "Anyways, how are you and Hakri doing? I trust things are going well? Nothing new to mention?" His words were still soft and warm, the sort of voice you would hear from some eccentric uncle or grandparent. |

The girl let go of him, but merely found Evier to clutch onto. Fehade grimaced, watching the small frightened girl. Evier had stooped down, looking at the girl, her eyes still cold, but a smile touched her lips slightly, it was kind smile, and Evier then stroked the girls hair, trying to calm the young one. Fehade watched as Yaksha turned his attention to the girl also, and the tiefling felt a bit disgusted, giving the thing attention, he didn't understand why. Others were so confusing. "Odd how the young one takes a liking to us other then the half-fiend. He may have frightened her, but we should be more terrifying, and yet she clings to our group." Rraezanon whispered in Fehade's head. He watching as the girl slowly let go of Evier and spoke to Yaksha. "i loath you...i hate you..." Fehade couldn't help but smile slightly. Hate was a strong word to use, sadly not strong enough to Fehade's liking. He hated Yaksha too, he hated the girl too, and Rraezanon, and all the other peasants that walked the streets of this village. He folded his arms over his chest, as Yaksha finally returned his attention to the tiefling. "Anyways, how are you and Hakri doing? I trust things are going well? Nothing new to mention?" Fehade smirked slightly. "Nothing really new. Hakri wants me to meet him in a week. I plan to get my revenge then." He said, sounding somewhat happy with the idea of revenge. "Yes, yes, you are excited about your revenge that will soon come, but may we think of what to do with the girl. She seems a little strange, I wonder why she isn't going to her family. Wouldn't it be nice to have slave, tiefling. I'm sick of going with you while we go stealing and killing. If we have one, well then... we'll get a better life in luxury." Rraezanon hissed. "You must be forgetting that we know nothing of the girl, she may have family, and last thing we need is something to stab us in the back while we sleep." Fehade replied in his head also. |

Feet were heard, coming in the direction of the chatting people, accompagned by some music. He often played when he was bored, and he was bored when he wasn't hunting. He had tailed Fehade from a while now and he wondered how it went with his father. He never told this errand of his. As he turned the corner his eyes closed and, and his hand dancing on the small harp, he kept walking. Having beeing gifted to smell better and to hear better then most mortal, the lycan headed toward the half demon bumbing into him, making the box of candies falling of his hand.''Hehe, sorry pal. I didn't know you were here.'' The Bard had heard of this half-demon so called sophisticated, and somewhat nice. The thougth almost made him throw up on Yaksha but he held himself. After all, the other guy was older and perhaps more experienced. Maybe not, well no one has to judge a book by his cover. He looked over to the theifling, the girl and the disguised nightmare. had not been of his smell he would not have recognized the horse and he winked at them.''Seems like a meeting, almost like if it was more then a coincidence. ''There was something sarcastic in his voice. Fehade could easily guess that Brahms had been following him, but Yaksha could not guess that. He never met the half-elf before. He then stared and observed the little one with the thiefling, and kelt near of her.''Hmm? What a delicious looking girl! Keeping her for lunch Fehade? ''Fehade and Brahns were killing for dufferent reasons. The lycan was for the thrist and as for the demon blooded man, it was hard to know. |

The little girl, being very curious, "looked" at brahms with her unseeing eyes. The box of candies went flying beside her, on the ground. As the tall half elf came close to her, she aproached him a little, stepping on the candy. Her face suddenly burst in a big wide smile as the smell of a canine entered her nose...the smell of Brahms. Instinctively she started patting the man on the head, saying. "Doggy!" but her face quickly turned to a puzzled and lightly scared look once more. stepping back, she slowly went back to evier, the women had seemed to give her a little affection and this had touched the girl, since she had no memories of her family, of what she could remember this was the only person to actualy show affection to her...apart from Yaksha. "i smell a dog...but...i touch a man....why?" her voice was lightly quivery as she wondered why this dog was shaped like a man. Oh and yes, she is completely ignoring Yaksha. |

Yaksha chuckled softly. "Ahhh, so good to see the 'doggy' again, wouldn't you think, Fehade?" His attire and voice seemed profoundly sophisticated and gentle, but his eyes were twin pits of malice and bloodlust, and they both peered at Brahms with an intensity that would've sent small animals running. This was a look that said, "Don't piss me off." His words were still gentle, but anyone with a keen ear would've heard a small undertone of coldness. "Brahms, isn't it? I've always been fascinated by werewolves, myself." He stepped around Brahms, and shook his head sadly. "You don't look all that impressive in human form, little pup. Just remember this." A black energy began to crackle on his left index finger, filling the air with a scent of death and a feeling of oppressive darkness. He pointed at a small child nearby, with a face smeared by chocolate. His next word was filled with a terrible finality, and an almost shocking sadism that clashed with his appearance. "Bang." The energy shot out at the child, who fell onto his back, a smile still plastered on his face. "I am, despite my appearance, your elder. Hate me if you wish. Plot against me, for all I may care. But you WILL...show me...the proper respect." His finger jabbed towards Brahms with each pause, almost as if he were threatening to shoot him, next. "We are allies, despite any qualms you may have. And we will be expected to get along, someday. I would advise you to make it easier on yourself now. I am no one to have against you." |

''Hehe, sorry pal. I didn't know you were here.'' Fehade stood stock still. Annoyance at everyone flashing through his eyes. He raised a hand, and pressed it against his temples, and calmed his breathing, taking big breathes of hair to keep himself from bursting out in anger. He lowered his hand, and raised his eyes to look at Brahms. There was no kindness in his disguised blue eyes. They were filled with hatred and coldness. Why was he here? The damn wolf and half-fiend that stood not to far away were going to blow his cover. Why doesn't he just shout out to the world what is and tell everyone who he has to kill in they're precious village. "Hello, Brahms." He managed to hiss in one of his crueler voices, that sounded so identical to his fathers. His eyes flashed to look at the young girl, who took to calling the lycan a "Doggy". Then the girl, confused, went to stand beside Evier again, and the nightmare rested a small hand on the girls shoulder, as if knowing what Rraezanon wanted. "i smell a dog...but...i touch a man....why?" "That's because he's a werewolf. A lycan. Part wolf part man." Evier whispered to the young girl. Fehade stayed silent through the events. He watched with cold eyes, and listened to every word said, while he kept himself from turning this place into ruins. Yaksha seemd to take a hate towards Brahms, as if telling the werewolf that he was the better one of everyone, just because he's the elder. Fehade rolled his eyes, as he folded his arms over his chest again. Then, Yaksha used a enervation bolt. Fehade's eyes went wide, as he heard screams from men and woman alike. He stared at Yaksha, eyes wide, not with fear or respect, but with hatred. "Why then hell did you do that for?!" Fehade basically screamed, finally losing it. He pulled out his katana Aparul, and pointed it at Yaksha. Slowly, his features returned to his demonic look. His skin going to a reddish leathery tint. His eyes burning bright red. Small horns protruding from his head, through his hair. His katana was inches away from Yaksha's throat. "Why must you show off your little skills in public? I was trying to keep low, Half-Fiend. I'm trying to do my work silently. But no, here you come, and ruin everything!" He yelled at Yaksha. "Why don't I just tell everyone I'm a demon too? Why don't I just show off my powers? How about I show everyone, how strong I truly am? You may be older, Yaksha, but you are defiantly not smarter." He hissed. People around them were panicking, and screaming, small children cried, while they're mothers ushered them away to safetly. Evier stood at Fehade's side, her hands resting on the shoulder of the girl. Fehade looked at Brahms with his strange, wild eyes. "What about you, Brahms? Do you want me to demonstrate my power?" He asked, then laughed in a most cruel way. |

Yaksha merely stared at Fehade, then laughed. "Don't you see? By your own actions at this very moment, you are aligning yourself AGAINST me! People will see you as a savior, one who fights for the sake of the innocent." Within a second, he was standing in his true demonic form, his horns askew, and his entire body emaciated, long and spindly. He gave a bone-chilling laugh, and then gave him a look of infuriating serenity. He spoke loud enough for the panicked people to hear him. 'You pitiful child, you think you can stop me!? I am as old as death itself!" He puffed out his chest, and peered down at him. "I've no idea who you are, but your death is a pity. You could've made such a fine ally. But no, no! YOU had to defy me!" He spun, his voice even more final. "When next we meet, your death is assured. My offers are good only once." He hastily scrawled a door on a nearby wall, vanishing into the building. "Such a pity, mortal. To think you would protect these little pests." |
