| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Pattin merely grunted at her, waiting for the dizziness to fade. Eventually the world stopped and he got up, brushing himself off. His cheek throbbed, but nothing more. “Something about watching it, I believe. Can't do that well without a mirror, eh?” He said with a smile. As much as the woman tried, his spirits remained high, stubborn as a dwarf. Pattin chuckled. “You know, Cordie.” He said in a businesslike tone. “There are certain things one cannot get by pure violence. Some things you must sneak to get, be stealthy. I can do that, lass. There are ways to get everything in the world you ever want.” He winked at her. “And I can do that.” He chuckled seriously. “Well, if you're leaving, I guess I am as well. Not much else to do, is there? No, I reckon traveling with you is much more interesting. Spice up a drab little life, eh? For both of us.” He winked. |

“Well, if you're leaving, I guess I am as well. Not much else to do, is there? No, I reckon traveling with you is much more interesting. Spice up a drab little life, eh? For both of us.” While he had been speaking, Cordelia had turned on her heel and had begun a slow walk away from him. Everything he said only proved to be a further annoyance, and now she was just sick of it. However, at those words, at those very words about following her, the vampire lady stopped dead in her tracks. If he thought he was following her, he was truly mistaken and perhaps even delusional. After all the trouble he had caused her tonight, she wasn’t willing to let him go anywhere with her. Amusing as he was, and perhaps as funny as he would be to keep around, he was acting like a stray dog and Cordelia couldn’t stand animals. He was a useless, pathetic excuse for a midget and it was a shame that life had been wasted on him. Inhaling deeply, Cordelia turned around cautiously, her dark blue eyes staring into his. “A drab little life…” she repeated, each word coming out with careful precision. The woman snorted at the idea of her life being dull. Between taking care of two children and trying to keep out of the way of a man who wanted her head, her life had been anything boring lately. One child had been enough, two had been pushing it a bit, and now she most certainly didn’t need a third. “You will prove to be nothing more than a nuisance if you come with me, Spot. You follow me and if I don’t kill you, someone else is bound to do so. I will not be your entertainment committee, do you understand me? I have enough people that need me to care for them, and I actually like them, unlike you. You have done nothing but try to humiliate me this night and if you think I’m going to just let you follow me home then you are incredibly mistaken and misled.” Again she took in a deep breath, her chest heaving with each angry intake of air. How dare he… he was nothing but a midget, a thieving, conniving midget. It was a good thing she didn’t have a pulse, otherwise her blood pressure would most likely be through the roof. “Who do you think you are, to just invite yourself to tag along, when you know nothing about my life and nothing about me? It’s rude, it’s selfish, and it’s terrible manners.” Cordelia narrowed her eyes at him, a frown pulling at her lips. Now she had to be afraid to even go home… this was becoming ridiculous. |
