| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Avree sat in the corner of the library, a stack of books piled all around the drow. She reached out grasping one of the books, Avree gently laid it down in front of her. The old book seemed ancient. Many of the pages were tattered and torn, there was even a few scorch marks as if someone had attempted to set the book ablaze. Wiping dust off the cover Avree opened it and began to read. As the female drow read the book, her poisonous companion crawled out from her shirt. Crawling down her arm, it crawled to the edge of the book, as if it was attempting to understand what was written in the ancient book. Avree stopped reading when her companion reached the edge of the book. Holding her finger so she wouldn't lose her place, she gently raised her other hand up and touched the spider. Smiling, she began to read softly out loud so that her friend would be able to understand. The two of them made quite the pair sitting there. A drow and her spider, studying magic.. |

Shye walked down the street in her human form. Today she wore some cheerful looking clothes. A white top, the sleeves reached just a little past her elbows, and she wore a light green skirt that swished around her ankles. She wore sandals that reached all the way up to her knees. Blackquill was once again around Sava's neck almost like a choker necklace. At her side, trotted a large dark umbra, it looked friendly enough, except for its claws and dark eyes. At the larger umbras side, ran a little one, not even half the bigger ones side. Sava smiled down at the littler umbra, and walked on. The little umbra padded along Sava's feet and often ran into them, and nearly made her trip, but Sava always caught her balance again. Sava laughed lightly, then reached down and picked up the small umbra kit that was the size of a grown cat. "You've gotta watch where your going, Niva." Sava said to the kit, and kissed it lightly on the head before setting it down again and continuing on to the library. She reached its doors soon, and pushed them open. Right away, Felix, the older umbra strode in, Niva right on his heels. Sava followed the two umbras, then instantly went to a book shelf and looked at the books there, and ran her hand along the spines, then pulled one out about battles and stuff. She took the book, and headed off to find a table, and she soon found one, though, it had someone sitting there already, a drow. Sava smiled, and walked over, the two umbras followed. She saw the spider and was quite curious, so instead of finding a different one and stopped at the table with the drow. "Odd looking book your reading there." She said causally, then gestured to a seat. "Mind if I join you?" |

Avree with her nose buried in a book was caught off guard by the woman and her companions. Looking up she smiled. "Not at all." The odd book had provided the information the drow had wanted. Sliding it to the edge of the table, Avree looked the woman up and down. Her spider companion doing the same to the womans companions. The spider crawled to the edge of the taple attempting at a closer look. The size of a fist it stood there eying the umbra curiously. I'm Avree, what might your name be ma'am?" The drow said in as friendly a tone as she could. New to this land, Avree had left Menzoberranzan a month prior. Not an outcast, she had just wanted to further her learning in the arcana.. |

Sava smiled then sat down in the chair at the table opposite the drow. She stared at the spider a moment, before returning her attention to the drow again, and looking her over. Sava liked dark elves, most of her friends were at least part drow, they didn't seem as cruel or mean as everyone assumed them to be. "I'm Avree, what might your name be ma'am?" "I am Savarkael Nightwind." She said, and bowed her head in greeting slightly. "But everyone calls me Sava." She added and smiled again. She cocked her head at Niva, who was staring at the spider. Felix walked under the table and laid down at Sava's feet, watching Niva. "Interesting spider you got there, seems much more intelligent then it looks. And I must say, I was never fond of them." Sava said, then turned her gaze to Avree. "I'm curious, Avree. Why did you leave the underdark? It seems more and more drow are sprouted up everywhere." She said, and laughed lightly. |

Avree looked towards her poisonous spider. "Yes my love is smarter than a normal spider." Avree looked back towards her new friend. "I left The Underdark in order to further my studies into the Arcana." She leaned forward resting her arms on the table. Avree didn't realize many more drow had left The Underdark. Probably outcasts. She thought. Avree had left on her own account, but many of her race shunned her for doing so. Why would a drow want to associate with any of the other lesser races of the world? Not caring she had left, telling the others they would see once she returned.. |

Eliel walked into the Library cautiously. He had come from his tower to find several more books on certain subjects that caught his fancy. He had left his gauntlets behind, as well as Gwen to guard the Tower. He had only just purchased it not too long ago, as a place to fall back into his research and practices, but there was alot of studying the various trinkets he had aqquired throughout the years since he decided to leave his home in the underdark. Little did he know that an old friend and someone who posed a potential threat to him were talking here. The latter could only be true had she heard of him, should she have heard about his activity in his youth and brought it to light. He had taken a risk with Sil. He gave a weary glance to the librarian, who liked him even less than he liked her, for good reason of course. He had some misadventures in the library at one time, and had not stopped visiting since. He shot her a toothy smile, teasing her. The older woman merely grumbled and turned to her own book. Eliel turned and picked out a section to begin his search, a deal cheered up. He ran a black finger over the books and hummed to himself, letting his mind wander. His ear caught a name that brought a grin to his face. After all, he had not seen Sava for some time, and many things have happened since then. He wondered if he had seen her since meeting Silendra. He turned about the bookshelf and walked over to the two, an aura of contentedness about him. Eliel looked over the drow woman and the dragon, making sure. He spotted a spider on the woman's shoulder and a cold shudder ran down his spine. He hated spiders. He coughed lightly and looked at the Drow before him with an uncomfortable smile. "You know there's a... on your shoulder?" He brushed at his own lightly. He didn't say anything for a couple of seconds before realizing it could be awkward. "Sava, dear friend! it's been a while, no? Have you heard the good news?" He winked at the two girls happily. Looking to the woman he turned two fingers to his stomach and bowed lightly. "Hello, there. Sorry for the interruption. My name is Eraspeola of House Usreanac." The word left a bitter taste on his tongue. "But most call me Eliel." He grinned and looked to Nightwind again, bursting to tell her. He did not even stop to think about...well... speaking in general. Last time they had met, he was mute, healable, but it was a reminder to himself. Since he and Sava had last seen each other, he had not actually spoken to her. not literally, anyway. |

Sava stared at the spider a moment, and cocked her head slightly, almost the same way a dragon would. Then a smile played over her face. She has heard of smarter spiders, but never has the dragon lady seen one before. She watched the spider closely a moment, before returning her gaze and attention to the female drow, and smiled again. "I left The Underdark in order to further my studies into the Arcana." "Then your a magic user? I haven't met many of them around, just like I haven't met many drow who have not been banished for leaving the Underdark." She said, then sighed slightly. "Ah, so much I still need to learn about the races of this world." She said almost to herself. She was taken by surprise, when she heard a familiar voice, except, last time she had heard it, it was in her head, not out loud. She whirled around gracefully, and gazed at Eliel, a wide smile playing across her face. "Sava, dear friend! it's been a while, no? Have you heard the good news?" "And what good news could that be? A new profession?" She asked and laughed. She knew what he did, and she never really liked assassins and rogues, but, most of her friends were in that area of class. |
