| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Feirste stood at the edge of the docks, his light eyes stared out at the sea, and seemed to grow calm, then hungry, when he saw a whale very far off jump. It was near impossible to see, for a human, but he was truly a dragon, and far sight came early to him, but he was colorblind, so everything to him was many shades of gray and white, it was annoying at times, but he dealt with it. His white hair fluttered around his head, even though it was pulled back. His hair was long, nearly half-way down his back, it always got in the way. His light eyes scanned the waters again, before he turned around and walked down the dock, his feet barely making any noise as he went. He walked over to a sailor, who watched Feirste curiously, then the sailor bowed his head slightly. "You must be Lord Shile Frost?" The sailor said. A thin smile played over Feirste's face. He was quite fond of his human name. He nodded slightly, then held out his hand, as if expecting something. "My package?" He said, his voice was quiet, and calm, though seemed tinted with annoyance. The sailor gave him a fearful look, then brought out a small wrapped up box from a pouch, it didn't look like it could hold much. He hand ed that to Feirste, and the dragon took it, and smiled cruelly, then he stuffed the package in his own pouch, he then took out a gold piece and flipped it in the air to the sailor, who caught it and smiled. Feirste then walked past the sailor, and towards a couple small buildings, where in between was an alley full of crates. He went over there, and when he reached that spot, he leaned back against them, and gazed through the crowds of sailors, and other people. He took out the small package, and opened it, and out slipped into his palm was a thick diamond. The sailor hadn't known what he had to deliver to Feirste was a diamond, if he had, the man would have probably kept it. Though this was a mere diamond, it seemed more then that to Feirste, since his white dragon kind loved diamonds. His hoard had hundreds of diamonds in it. He figured the diamond in his hand a moment, before he slipped it back into his pouch. He had got the diamond from a wizard, who he managed to buy it off of, even though, the mage had demanded lots of gold, which Feirste easily paid off. Suddenly, something brushed by him, and when he saw what had, his mouth gaped open, in horror and anger. A little thief had stole his pouch that carried the diamond, the thief must have seen it. His face twisted in anger, and he stood straight, before he leaped into a sprint after the boy that took it. "Thief! Stop him!" Feirste basically screamed. His eyes were wild with anger, they're strange color seemed to brighten. |

Lilith wandered among the docks, the wooden planks creaking beneath her soft footfall. It seemed as though the constant water logging was finally playing its part on the wood. She had chosen a dress that ended just below her knees so that it wouldn’t drag along the ground and collect the dirt from the sailors. It had a low front and a lower back, exposing her light skin to the sun. She had sandals on her feet and her hair was looped back into a loose ponytail. The docks were crowded with sailors in various outfits, some with small emblems telling of what ship they had come from or what captain they served under. Some titled their hats or heads towards Lilith as she moved between them and she graced them with a smile. Others stopped and stared at her, the younger ones usually, and some whistled or howled. She smiled at these but moved away from them a little quicker than the others. She wasn’t here for no reason after all. She didn’t like the docks very much and so it was only a few times that she had actually come here, each for a purpose. She slowed when she saw a man standing and waiting for someone. Could be it her? He mentioned another name and she shook her head slowly and told him hers. He pointed back down where she had just come from towards another man and she made her way over to him. Yes it was the right man this time waiting for her and he handed her the package she had asked to be shipped over. It was an elegant gown from a different continent. Lilith loved to be the first to wear the new trends and set them on her own. She wouldn’t keep the dress the way it was however. She planned to go home and fix it up so that it fit her perfectly and was a blend of Imythess and Kalack mixing them into the perfect blend. Happily she took the package and moved away from the man when another almost bowled her over. Did anyone have respect anymore? Suddenly her heard the cry “Theif” and Lilith immediately moved into action. Quickly grabbed the man by the elbow and whipping him around to face her. He wasn’t very strong at all and when she had him face to face he appeared to be very young. He was grasping something tightly between his fists and Lilith raised her eyebrow and held out a hand, giving him the chance to give it back. He struggled to get away from her and Lilith twisted his arm so that he dropped the jewel into her hand. A diamond! No wonder the man sounded so upset when he had yelled for help. Lilith turned to give the diamond back to the man. He still hadn’t quite caught up so she moved closer to him. When she was close enough to make out his face she saw... The Dragon! “YOU!” She hissed, and pointed an accusing finger at him, guarding the diamond against her chest in the other hand. |

He continued to sprint after the little thief, but the boy was faster. After he had yelled, a woman caught the thief and got the diamond. His eyes widened slightly with panic, what if this woman who helped him kept it for herself? That means he would have spent good gold for nothing. He slowed his pace to a fast walk, as he neared the woman, and she came towards him too, till she recognized him, and he realized who she was too, and he stopped in mid-stride, eyes wide again, this time with annoyance, and his mouth gaped open slightly. “YOU!” She said, and pointed at him accusingly. He planted both feet firmly on the ground, and calmed himself, his eyes dulling with the annoyance. He took a couple steps forward, this time, he wasn't interested in eating her, seeing as they were in public, he was only interested in getting his diamond back. He stared at her hand that held it, then he looked up at her face. "Why the hell do I keep running into you?" He hissed. He took one more step forward closer, then stopped, watching her. Even though it was a nice warm day, his breath came out with a slight foggy mist, like ones does on a freezing day. One hand slipped onto the freezing hilt of his longsword. He was near to panicking again, he wanted his diamond then wanted to get out of here, and back to his lair in the mountains, but he couldn't go until he got what was rightfully him. He held out one hand, that had a black leather glove on it. "How about, you give me that diamond now. If you do, I'll make sure to never try and eat you again." He said, his voice was smooth, no signs of panic seemed to be around him, like usual. His eyes never left hers. He hoped no one heard what he said about eating her, but he noticed a couple of curious looks pointed his way, but he ignored that. |

Lilith praised the fact that she had decided to bring her wind sword with her today. She was especially glad of that fact after running into him again. Him that tried to eat her alive for sport when she knew very well that he could’ve easily stolen a cow or some other animal to get his fill. 1000lbs verses 100lbs. It wasn’t hard to figure out which would fill a dragon up more than her. When he held out his gloved hand she narrowed her eyes and pushed the diamond closer to her chest. Wondering why she would ever return something to this man/dragon/thing. He didn’t deserve to be a person. She was filled with emotions that she never knew she even had until she saw this man again. This thing she had survived that felt like a dream to her. “I guess you could call it Karma.” She snorted at him, brushing away his gloved hand and backing up a few paces. “Oh Wow.” Sarcasm dripped from every word Lilith spoke. They were like honey dipped poison. “What an offer. How will I ever refuse?” She hissed the last word at him. Several people cast curious glances at the pair and she realized she had probably said those things a little louder than she had wanted to. She lowered her voice and spoke again. The malice never leaving her being. “No I think I like this diamond a little too much to just give it to you.” She took a step closer and whispered lightly in his ear. “You couldn’t eat me the first time, I don’t think you could again.” Her voice had calmed, now she was playing a game and she would match this dragon. If he was calm she would be calm as well. It bothered her that he could pull her so out of character. She backed up again. “Convince me,” |

He clenched his hand into a tight fist and let it fall to his sides, and he glared at her. He wanted the diamond back, and would turn into a dragon here if he had to just to get it back, but he hoped it wouldn't have to come to that, it would just send guards after him, and maybe the captain of the guard also, and then everyone would know who Lord Shile Frost was, and that would not be good, then everyone would be on a look out for the white dragon. As Lilith took a few steps back, he took a step forward, eyes growing colder, and his breath come out in more of a frosty like way, almost like it was a very cold winter day. She talked, and seemed to mock him, and he didn't like that, any dragon hated to me mocked, especially his kind. He watched her, like usual, not finding anything she said worthy enough to answer, since he knew she would only give a sarcastic answer. "Come now, girl, give it back! You have caused me enough trouble, and I'm not in the mood to deal with your sarcastic remarks." He hissed quietly, and took another step forward. He then thought a moment, of what she had said before, and decided to say something to that. "Maybe I won't try to eat you this time, I can easily cut you, let you bleed to death, that would be as fun as eating you. Or I can just freeze you to death. Oh, what to choose, both options sounds fun to me..." He said. Sure, he was quite sadistic at times, but who could blame a lazy, white dragon who was bullied by the larger dragon like the red dragon Jade. He took another step forward, his hand resting on the hilt of his sword again. He then looked up behind the woman, and noticed a couple guards a ways off, then he looked back at Lilith, a thin smile sliding onto his face. "GUARDS! Thief!" He shouted and lunged forward, and reach out to grab Lilith's arm. The guards heard his shout, and came rushing over. |

One mast or two? White sails or black? How long should the bowsprit be...? Those are fun to climb across and jump from... Theron found himself "shopping" on the docks again, despite the fact he had no crew to speak of. He was just causing himself regret for later. He tapped his foot with a finger on his chin when he heard the most shrill scream come from behind him. He turned around with a pained expression on his face. Thief! Stop him! Theron nearly panicked until he realized he wasn't the thief this time. His wide, worried eyes relaxed into that dangerous look acompanied by the grin that spoke his thoughts. "Steal from the thief. He takes all the blame, you take all the goods." Without much more thought, Theron took off in the direction the lanky fellow was pointing in. It didn't take Theron very far, unfortunately. He was hoping for some grand chase where the thief escaped the guards, only to have Theron lurking on the rooftops above him. No; instead, Theron stopped so suddenly, he fell with a hard thud behind some crates a decent distance from the thief catcher and the victim. He rubbed a sore knee and a brused arm, but as soon as he heard the woman speak... or hiss (Theron wasn't quite sure)... He recognized the voice and cursed under his breathe. He rose carefully from his hiding place and raised an eyebrow at the scene unfolding infront of him. He cocked his head slightly, never having seen Lilith this worked up about anything. Infact, it was quite a show. He stood up and hopped over the crate infront of him to get take a seat on it. He propped his left leg up by putting the foot on his right knee. He leaned against the stack of crates next to him, bouncing his knee, entertained. His eyes weren't on the diamond either, but the chest behind it. Needless to say, he had one of his grins on. He grinned as the two exchanged insults. He even let out an, "Oof. Ouch," at a couple of them. But when the man stepped forward with his hand on his sword, Theron stood up with a sigh. He was hoping it would continue for a little longer. He started to walk over casually until someone yelled "Theif!" again. It always got Theron on edge for some reason... When he realized it was the same man yelling that word, he pursed his lips in frustration. It wasn't enough for him to call Lilith a thief, but he shouted "Thief!" twice in Theron presence. Theron didn't like this guy very much... He dashed forward toward the two in hopes of clothes-lining the man grabbing for Lilith's arm before the guards got there. |

“Maybe you should have lost your grip on this lovely jewel hmm?” Lilith said, glaring at the man, one hand still protectively curled around the diamond. “And you know that if you cut me or tried to freeze me to death my last breath would reveal what you are. And this audience would be more likely to believe a beautiful woman than a scraggly albino.” Lilith’s words were calculated and her gaze levelled on Feirste. He took another step forward and this time Lilith didn’t move, she stayed staring at the man. She didn’t like that smile that crawled onto his face, and she just glowered at him. "GUARDS! Thief!" Damn! Lilith turned to watch the guards turn their attentions towards her. A smile slid across her features, snakelike and cunning. “You just made a huge mistake.” Lilith tucked the diamond into her dress, tucked between her breasts where it wasn’t easily discernable and within her reach. It also provided somewhat of a safekeeping, since if she screamed rape everyone would be on the dragon in a second. Two guards made their way over at a running pace and Lilith put on her best face. Her lips pouted and her body swayed pulling the fabric against her body in all the places men would be running their eyes over her. Even the guards slowed their pace and let their eyes wander until they were walking over, clear now that the two weren’t going to run. Lilith watched them whisper and prod each other. “Nice try Dragon,” She whispered and raised her eyebrows in a victory gaze. Just then a man grabbed at her arm. |

He reached forward, his hand just inches away from the womans arm before some clothes-lined him. Feirste fell back onto the dock with a thud. He cried out in surprise, and his eyes widened, but not from surprise, but full of icy anger. he hadn't been badly hurt from that, since he was a dragon after all, and even in human form he didn't have weak skin. He jumped instantly to his feet, and glared at the man who had done that too him, a threatening glare. He would have to deal with pirate looking fool later. He looked at Lilith, as she had tucked his diamond away from few, and his face twisted with anger, then watched as she loosened her clothes a bit, and his eyes widened this time with a tad of fear and annoyance mixed together. “Nice try Dragon,” He looked up to see the guards, then around some of the other people who had stopped to watch, as if he was looking for help, then his frantic, angered looked rested on Lilith again, a dangerous looked glinted in his eyes, and they seemed to grow as icy as a storm. "Well, what a clever little wench you are, my dear. Clever..." He mumbled the last word in a hiss. His breath come out in a more rigid air, and around him the air seemed to get colder, and his skin prickled with goose bumps, and he relished the colder air. "You, my lady," he gritted his teeth in frustration as his gaze looked at the slowly approaching guards then back to Lilith. "Is starting to make a new enemy. And its not good to have a dragon as a enemy. Especially a white." He hissed, one hand clenching around his icy sword. He instantly released his sword when he heard the footsteps of the guards stop nearby. "Whats going on here?" They demanded. They looked all three of them over. Feirste locked his eyes onto Lilith's. "Yes, what is happening here, dear?" He asked Lilith. He didn't know her name, and didn't want to stick with saying human and wench, especially in front of guards, so he stuck with "dear" for the moment. The dangerous look still glinted in his eyes, and a small smirk slipped onto his face once more. |

THUD!! Theron's arm smacked into the side of the scrawny guy's neck, but ouch! did it hurt! Way more than normal, no less. Something was up with this guy and Theron didn't like it. He was sure Lilith could handle it, at least with the guards, but Theron wanted in on this prize, too. After he had struck the man, Theron stepped back quickly, putting on quite the performance, "Oi, I'm so sorry, mate! Didna see ya there!" His mock accent was thick, "Terribly sorry, mate." He reached out to brush the fellow off, but decided well against it. His eyes fell on Lilith, and for a split second his eyes grinned at her before growing wide, followed by a mock gasp when the guards were with them. "Your Highness!" Theron fell to his knees, face flat on the disgusting dock. He glanced up at the other fellows and motioned for them to bow with him hurridly, his eyes on the guards. "Oi, I may be a simple fisherman, but I've sailed the seas enough to know that this graceful goddess be none other than Her Majesty of..." He looked down back at the dock as he swallowed, "Th...Thalentasia! A gorgeous land!" He shimmied across the dock to get close to her foot to kiss it. "Are you visiting the royal family again, Your Grace, or heading back home?" He waved them on behind him, assuming the guards fell for his act. Theron's acting was decent, at least. And besides, these twits are docking guards for Taras. Theron doubted they got very far into the world, if not even past the pubs. |

Lilith caught the eyes of Theron and a sly smile crept onto her lips. Trying to take my prize hm? Between the two of them the dragon would have a hard time... harder time trying to catch her or hurt her... or eat her. Her expression changed at that to one that held a small amount of hatred that she wasn’t ashamed to show. As much as she’d like to punch that stupid dragon the guards were upon them now. "Whats going on here?" Lilith opened her mouth to say something when the words "Your Highness!" were gasped from Theron’s mouth before he threw himself to the ground and went on a spiel. Lilith was shocked for a split second before she fell easily into the lie Theron was weaving in front of the guards. Oh Theron, you better not get us caught for this. But Lilith was all smiles on the inside, while on the outside she lifted herself up and held herself like the royalty Theron claimed her was. Thalentasia, she committed the name to memory just in case it came up again with the guards. Now should she play the gracious monarch... Lilith smiled and looked at Theron. ”Sir you flatter me,” She shot Feirste another triumphant look, making sure no one could see when she did. ”I am in fact visiting my family, you are kind to ask, right now I was just seeing the sights,” Suddenly a sly smile slipped onto her face, ”When this man here accused me of being a...” Lilith held her breath, acting as though she couldn’t believe it herself. “Thief,” She let out a shuddery breath as though she couldn’t even breathe the word let alone imagine herself as one. ”But please, sirs rise. And you Mr...” Lilith suddenly realized she didn’t know his name... but then again that wouldn’t be uncommon either. ”I think your thief has run off in that direction,” Lilith pointed off in a random direction. ”I’m sure the guards would be more than willing to go find him for you,” Lillith shot the guards a smile and fluttered her eyelashes ”Wouldn’t you?” |

Feirste was absolutely taken a back when the pirate like man suddenly fell down and bowed at the womans feet, and his face twisted as the man motioned for others to do so. He listened to the man speak the name, but it seemed that the man obviously had no idea, that Thalentasia was an actual small island, and wasteland Feirste called it. The population there wasn't great, and all the people seemed to there for was living was fish in the sea. He glared sharply at the man, and realized how the two must know each other, because he doubted a lowly pirate would ever try to help the woman unless he knew her. He shot a look of annoyance at Lilith, as she played along. Feirste was no fool, he doubted this woman could ever be a "noble" from Thalentasia. If she was, then way the hell did she go to the Dragonspine Mountains without an escort. He folded his arms, almost is a relaxed, casual way, amusement seeping into his eyes. But, even though he truly did not believe them, he noticed the guards grow slightly confused, then as they started to believe what the two said. He stayed silent, eyes turning slightly darker as he watched Lilith, almost in a way a dragon would watch its prey, it was almost the same way he first looked when he was first announced he was going to eat her the day they ran into each other. When she finished speaking, he clapped his hands lightly, in a amused gesture. "Lovely show, my lady. But why should these," He made a gesture to the guards. "These guards, believe a noble from a rock in the middle of the sea, and not, me?" He asked, and stayed silent a moment before going on. "After all... I have been here for a long time, and earned my title, and I'm sure, everyone here knows me, as Lord Shile Frost." He said, in a cool manner, and he had dragged out the word "lord" a bit, to get it through. He flicked his eyes over to the guards, who once again grew confused, and they whispered to each other. They looked at Lilith, then at Feirste then back to the woman, still confused. A thin smiled curled onto his face. They must be new. He looked at the pirate and wondered what he would try now. Ah, if only Feirste was in place where there was only Lilith and the fool that tried to help her, then he would eat them both... though, he never seemed able to get Lilith, which annoyed him. He kept his gaze on Lilith, that same draconic hunger look in them. |

Theron watched this... Lord perform this time. Theron cocked a questioning eyebrow at this joker, but also noticed the two guards as confused as ever. Theron frowned and hopped to his feet, half-heartedly bowing to Lilith to keep up his show. He walked inbetween Lilith and Shile to get to the guards and crooked a finger at them to gather in close. Taking advantage of their confusion, he put his arms around the shoulder of each of them and huddled together. With a whisper, he started his game plan, "Oi, mates, we're in a bind. We got ourselves a pop'lar lord and a queen of undeniable beauty." He winked at them, which was followed by some silly grins. "If ya take sides, this could get ugly and ya both fired, or worse... killed." He raised his eyebrows to convey the danger and they shuffled slightly. Theron glanced over his shoulder at the two before going back to the huddle, "Ev'n if we split up, it would be three versus two, and one of you guys would take the fall. I'm not a gamblin' man like tha'." His lie dripped off his tongue. "So, mates... Why donna we just let 'em solve this with their cocked up politic shinanigans and see how it turns out, aye?" He pointed towards the city walls, "If ya two decide to take, oh... I dunno... a 15 minute break at McGinties around the corner, I wouldna tell no ones..." He shared a smile with the guards, "Oi, tell 'im Theron sent ya and he'll get yas a free one on me, aye? Free beer and no death, men. Cheers!" And with that, he broke the huddle, slapped the two men on the back, pretended to walk with them for a few steps before stopping and turning around with a grin. "Oi, Lord Shile." He danced a little in his step with the title, mocking the fellow. "What lands do ya lord over? If it's these parts, I'd suggest one real bodyguards next time." His accent dropped flat and Theron's grin widened, "The docks can get a bit crazy from time to time... Alcohol does things to the head in a day's heat." Theron looked around, taking note of the heavy-arms littering the docks, lifting crates into ships while their partners took breaks with swings from ceramic jugs. He eyed the lean, pale fellow when adding, "These brutes'll do anything to anyone if somethin' happens to their brew, mate. I'd hate to see ya get caught up in something so... violent." Theron was standing to Shile's left when he was facing Lilith. He had enough space between them to start a brawl with a nearby sailor, and Theron felt light as ever today, proud of his acting abilities just now. |

((OoC: Bleh sorry its not that great)) Lilith lowered her gaze, settling it on “Lord” Shile Frost. Her eyes burned with emotions roiling beneath the surface and all she really wanted to do was tie this punk to a block of cement and let him down in the bottom of the Moonsea. She was about to snap back when she remembered the guards who looked as confused as ever. Instead she just whispered to Shile Frost, determined to never call him “Lord”. ”I hope you don’t expect to get your jewel back now,” Then Theron was back on his feet working his Pirate magic. She watched them huddle together and took the time to speak to Shile Frost once again. ”The guards will never believe you over me... They’re men after all dearest Shile,” She took her hand and patted it against the side of his face. ”You might as well back off now,” Lilith watched Theron curiously as he led the guards out of the way of the fight that would most likely ensue between Shile and herself. She watched Theron standing across from her, her eyes twinkled with the backup she had at the moment. She knew Theron would never side with Shile while she had the diamond with her. If they were lucky they would be able to get out of here with the diamond in tack. She waited until the guards were out of earshot before she spoke again. ”It’s two against one Shile.” She wondered if he would walk away or if the diamond was enough to make him stay. With Theron here she had the sudden feeling that she would keep this diamond for herself. |

”I hope you don’t expect to get your jewel back now,” He shot Lilith another one of his icy glares, then tilted his head towards the pirate, who huddled over a little ways with the guards. His face twisted in disgust and annoyance, then looked over back at Lilith, eyes soon burning with anger, seeming to melt the iciness away. He clenched one hand into a fist, trying to keep his anger under control. One thing that was common with whites, was their temper at times. ”The guards will never believe you over me... They’re men after all dearest Shile, you might as well back off now,” Feirste said nothing to that. Human men were stupid, especially when it came to women, even most well trained guards followed them. But, Feirste had other ways of getting his jewel back, but just didn't know how yet, this woman was frustrating and winning so far... just like last time they met. The pirate came over, as he sent the guards on their way. He looked over at the pirate as he spoke, and found nothing of what the pirate said to be worthy enough to answer. Instead, he looked at the pirate calmly, as if daring him to start a brawl. Feirste was a dragon, after all, and an expert swordsman, if a brawl started, he could easily kill anyone in his path, or who just comes at him. "Two against one..." he whispered then cocked his head at Lilith. "You know what I am, my lady. Even though I may be outnumbered by a little, still doesn't mean I can't win. Sides, you only got lucky last time we met. If this comes to a fight, then I'll make sure your the first wench I freeze, whether or not with the diamond. After all, that is only one of thousands." He said in a calm voice. Though he wanted to add this diamond to his hoard, he knew he wouldn't be able to freeze her, and get it back. |
