Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Cordelia glared at the glowing ball that was hovering in front of her. It was around midnight now, and she had been trying to get rid of that thing for hours. She had tried locking it in an abandoned house, which hadn’t worked – it had found a hole in the wall and come flying after her again. She had caught it in a bucket and flung the bucket on the ground to try and keep the magical light inside, but somehow the ball had tipped it over and had continued to stalk her. As the final straw, the vampire lady had run as fast as she could to the nearest town, which happened to be the Village of Kellen. She had found success for about five minutes, until the ball had come bouncing up behind her before finally hovering in front of her as it was now.

Frustrated to almost the breaking point, Cordelia grabbed the will’o’wisp and tried to snap it in half. Whatever this thing was, it had to be living; there was no other explanation as to why it continuously followed her around. Seeing that fail, Cordelia threw the thing away – only to have it fly right back. First it was the velociraptor that found her and decided she was its mother. At least she had been able to lock him in the closet of her bedroom when she left the house and he stayed there obediently. She didn’t really want to have that thing running around when she wasn’t near. There was no way she was going to be able to get rid of this little ball, though, so she had to decide to just live with it. Hopefully it would find someone else that it liked more than her, eventually.

Cordelia allowed the will’o’wisp to sway back and forth behind her shoulders as she proceeded to walk through the village, doing her very best to ignore the light and faint humming sound she thought she heard coming from it. “Great, you’re gonna make me lose my mind!” she exclaimed in a slightly whiny voice. Sighing, she lifted her left hand and snaked her fingers through her short, black hair to try and calm herself down. There was no point in leaving Kellen, since the thing would just follow her, but there was no point in staying, either. The inn had proved to be an extremely troublesome place when she had been there last with Manic. The apples they sold there were fake and even though she couldn’t eat that sort of food anyway, she thought it was better to stay away from such a fraud of a business.

The woman finally sat down on the steps of a building, thinking it was time for a break. Playing hide and seek with that thing for as long as she had been had taken a toll on her. She figured it would be fine, since there weren’t any lights on in the place. Either any occupants were asleep and wouldn’t notice her, or there wasn’t anyone in there at all. In any case, she didn’t have to worry. She sat up a little bit to adjust her coat and move the tails of it out from beneath her before once again sitting down on the stone steps. She rested her arms on her knees, her upper body slumping forward slightly in fatigue. Finally, Cordelia closed her eyes; if she had to look at that glowing ball again she might go insane and right now, she needed a little break from it. Even with her eyes closed, however, she wasn’t able to block out the feeling that things were about to get a lot worse this evening.

Full moon. Favorite time of the hunt for the lycan, there is no need to hide his real identity. He had been going around the twon for stupid townspeople wandering at night but night is the territory of the werewolf, his playground. Those in it, would have to be a toy, biten and chewed.

He picked the smell of peoples but they were all near their houses so it would attract the attention a bit too easily and he wanted to enjoy this night, for his own full moon madness. It would be a wild night of action. Their would be a crimson rain made out of innocent blood and hail made out of flesh.

He picked a smell going somewhat far from the town but there was something particular about it. His claws suddenly ripped under the ground.
Is there something wrong? Why are you so mad about? It always can be a meal even thoughIt's A vampire! My race nemesis! The demon named Teazon was talking to Brahms. As long as it is not celestial i don't give a damn. So the beast did not replied, it was a waste of effort and time.

The vampire was pretty easy to track down with Will o Whisp around her. He grinned, She could not smell what he is. If he talk with her he could easily strike her down by an easy move but it was a vampire after all, those bloodsuckers are always on their guard. It mean only one option, strike now. She was sitting on a rock.

So subtily, he dashed towards her, even with his size, he could move fast and be difficult to hear it was how wolves were hunting in any case, thanks for the system of evolution. Because every steps to gain power was a step for evolution. When he was close enough he jumped towards the nemesis. It was a long jumped, it went slow in Brahms' mind. There was no sound, only the air passing in his dark red fur. His claw ready and striked at the back of the humanoid.

There was a pit in Cordelia’s stomach and her lip twitched, unsure of what she should do. If she opened her eyes, she would have to stare at that ball again, but if she kept her eyes closed she’d only make herself vulnerable. Kellen wasn’t an extremely violent place, to her knowledge, and it was late. No one would be out and about at this hour, but even so, she just couldn’t shake that feeling.

And then the air changed.

Immediately her dark blue eyes opened and her muscles tensed. The will’o’wisp spun around, as though it were confused; Cordelia simply looked away from it. It would probably be a good idea to go further into the village, as much as she didn’t want to. At least there she knew she wasn’t going to randomly get attacked, and if she did, well… she would cross that bridge if she came to it. She had been about to stand when the wisp dashed under her arm and forced her up and away from where she had been formerly sitting. Cordelia turned around roughly, not all too happy about being handled like that by a stupid glowing ball of light. However, her eyes quickly caught sight of the wolf that was still in mid air. Okay… maybe that wisp wasn’t so bad after all.

She backed up even more, out of the wolf’s range so that even when he landed there would still be a safe amount of distance between them. That was one stupid dog to think it could take down a vampire all by itself. Wolves needed packs to take down their prey, if her knowledge was correct, and she didn’t see or smell any other wolves around. That was why Cordelia loved being a vampire; she was a solitary predator who didn’t need anyone else to help her feed. In one fluid motion, she had unsheathed her sword and had it pointing right at the wolf, which after a moment she saw wasn’t any normal wolf.

A loud, obnoxious laughter came forth from her throat. It was all she could do not to hold her stomach and fall on the ground and roll around in the hilarity of this all. Now she knew why that knot had been in her stomach and why the air had changed for her. Her family had always told her about werewolves and what ugly beasts they were, and she had come across a few in her lifetime – but this was the first time one had really dared to attack her. Usually they stayed clear out of a vampire’s path… and with good reason. Sure, maybe dogs might have had that brute strength to them, but vampires at least knew the meaning of the word dignity. Most of them, anyway. But that wasn’t the point here.

Finally Cordelia regained enough control to speak, though giggles and chuckles still came out through her words. “Oh, that’s funny! You think you can take me down! An ugly little werewolf like yourself thinks that… oh that is just great!” Cordelia started laughing again, this time much louder. This was just too much! “Come on, joke time is over. Why don’t you go pillage the town now like the good little puppy you are? Go on boy, go on! I’m sure they’ll give you treats if you roll over!” She just couldn’t stop herself. When it came to insulting others, she wouldn’t pass up the chance, and she especially wouldn’t allow the enemy of her race to go without being taunted. “Or, rather, give you a bath, not like it would help any. No amount of soap could get that stench of inferiority out of your skin…”

The moment the ball of light took the vampire aside, the lycan knew he had missed. Missing a target was not his style, he had let go of the air Genasi because air beeing were tasteless, fun to rip apart like the others but completly tasteless. He landed on the ground making a nice cracked mark.

He raised his head and glared at the vampiress. Since it was easy to know, by the smell and the sound of her voice. You missed her, you are lame, Lycan. Get her, fight her. The way you should facing a nemesis.Don't Worry, I won't disappoint. He was readying every part of his body every part of his muscles.

He remembered Alpha, his master, telling that long ago, werewolves were so numerous that they were a race of their own they had their town also. But they were getting way to great for the other races, since they could enlarge on them. The ones who were hating them the most was the vampires sinnce the lycans were taking their meals away just before their eyes. So the leader of the blood brotherhood, a vampiric association, went to ask a truce with the other races to take the wolves down.

So most kind of elves, the dwarfs and the human sent their elite and even most numerous soldiers to raid on the beastial village. They was no organisation in the twon, the strongest rules over the weakest and that was it, so when they received those platoons coming out, from all around them confusion and disagantisation were at their peak. They were sweep out like vermins under a foot. Those who fled under the cover of the night fell on a pretty disaster. Vampires. They were hunted like deers. So afterwards, the vampire were considered as heroes, but the fame and glory did not last long since their rival were way much less numerous they could feed upon the innocents once more. But this time, Brahms is going to change the balance so the lycan would have their age of glory back.

Then she started to insult him. She had guts but that was it. Nothing more she doesn't seem to be old enough to be powerful, not having an aura who could make her have his respect of any type."
Funny indeed, if you would not have been save by that, you would have died right away lil'Girl." He was right and he know it, he already could have felt her flesh stucked under his claws.

When she started to laugh he made a face of having pain"
Please spare me of hearing the sceeching voice of yours, i'm sick of it!"And now what? Treats? She was treating of puppy? He growled and dug his claws into the ground."Grrr...The only treats i'll have tonigth will be your bone to chew on!"He was pretty happy with the thougth but she seems to not be over with in talking.

Inferiority?Oh, sure without me you are. So show me you got potential, werewolf or i shall take back what is mine! This time he had no chance to argue, he felt anger to Teazon and hate for the vampiress, feeling the burning emotion of rage passing througth his veins. His claws still in the ground he slwly raised agreat part of the ground over his head and threw at the vampire hoping to crush her, but he knew she would be fast enough to dodge it so in the air, he jumped on the rock and kicked so it would goes faster on her while he pass over her, if she tried to escape rom the rock she would receive a vicious blow.
