| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Zegram sat down. He was in a bar right by the docks, he saw. He also saw that he had free time. He also wondered what Sigmund was up to. Continuous brawls were happening about him. Not that he really cared. He leaned over the table to nervously scratch off some dirt. As his head lowered a bottle of wine flew over his head and smashed into a wall. Undisturbed, he straightened up as another bottle flew just over the table where his head just had been. Finally a waitress made it safely to his table. She set down a pint of rum before his suddenly eager face. Instantly he grabbed it and began to drink. When he finished the last drop, he set back on the table. Suddenly a glass crashed into his and both shattered. Quickly he stood, knocking aside his chair and pulling out his sword. All the fighting stopped. Everyone stared at him. What was wrong? He turned and found his pint completely whole and not broken. Another hallucination. Laughing to himself, he muttered, "Of course." He needed a new appearance he decided. He stood, heading towards the bar's exit. There was a coat rack there. He took a cloak from it and put it on. He then headed towards the exit again but something caught his eyes. A tricorn. He looked about nervously then took the hat and put it on. |

Esteban was looking at the ocean. It was a wonderful sunset. His life style had changed since he had met Cordelia. A vampiress. Only because he had stayed one night talking with her. He was now use to sleeping in the morning and awakeneing as dusk. The half demon sighed. It was likelookingat the lake when he had been with her the first time. Didn't she guessed his emotions towards her? Wasn't she feeling well with him? Then why did she talked about her personnal stuff to him? She would not have said that if she did not trust him. He sighed again and turned around, hiswings hided under his cloak. The rogue wanted to drink, to forget a bit. A bit about her. About his father aswell. He sat at the counter and command a drink. Life was tough bu the could not let go like this. He took a sip of the ruhm handed over by the woman. He felt a strange feeling down his troat, it was the first timehe was drinking. He had the idea, because he had heard that people was drinking to feel better. |

Zegram turned to leave the bar, when someone caught his eye. They looked familiar... Someone from his crew? He drunkily turned heel and headed towards Esteban. "Gerand?" he asked. |

Gerand? The half-demon stared at the pirate. Was he talking another language? Was he mistaking him for someone else? Whatever the man wanted it was not safe. Pirates were know to make brawl in the taverns. Either way, Esteban did not wanted anything to do with this. "Sorry, mister. You are mistaking identity..." What would the young rogue do if the man would persist? Fight? No, the man would have no chance versus a half-demon. He hoped that it would not come to this. |

Not Gerand? They look so alike. He shook his head slowly. "Sorry. You just look familiar." He turned away but was distracted once more. He froze when he heard some words. His head turned towards the table where he previously sat. Two men were sitting there. "You've heard of the marooned man here in this port?" The other, hooded in gray, Zegram noticed, spat on the table, knocking Zegram's previous glass off it. He then replied, "Aye. I know of him. Why do you ask of that accursed pirate?" The shadowy figure pulled out a pipe and stuffed it with weed. Once they had it lit, they put the pipe to their mouth. Captain Azros grew curious. The left side of his brain said, 'Curiosity killed the cat, Zegram.' The right side shot back, 'Shut it, left side. They might have valuable information. Of course the right side won. Zegram turned to Esteban. With a calm smile, he said, "I'll be back shortly. Something has just caught up with me and I'd like to learn what." Zegros stalked off behind a post. There he listened. "Ever learn the pirates name, Sistian?" The black-haired man asked. "Azros. Zegram Azros." the hooded one replied. Their voices were still quite faint so, he grabbed the leaf an enormous potted plant. Intead of ripping off the leaf, the whole plant came loose. With large eyes, he covered himself with the plant, attempting to walk to another pole to hide behind. Suddenly he felt a cold blade against the back of his neck. He heard a woman's voice. "Vastin, I think I've found somebody. Not just anybody but a specific somebody that is a pirate captain going by the name of Zegram Azros." Zegros lowered the plant, roots and all. He said something stupid then. "Actually, it's captain. Captain Zegram Azros." |

Sorry. You just look familiar "Perhaps but i'm not him. He maybe somewhere else though." Wher? Esteban did not care. The pirate seems to have a pretty strange behavior. Was he drunk or something? Maybe, the rogue had heard that whenthey weren't on sea, they were drunk. I'll be back shortly. Something has just caught up with me and I'd like to learn what. "Take your time." He said as he took another sip. Why would the pirate come back if he did not know Esteban? He did not care much anyway, his thougths were full Of Cordelia and Xenolectios. Was the demon really recovering? Would he be thinking about getting revengeon his son? Yeah, he would. After all he had been killed by the half-demon. It was an insulting for a full beeing to be killed by only a half. How long before the final fight againts him? Where could Esteban recover the power to defeat such a foe? He kept thinking but nothing came in mind. And so he took another sip, and now he started to think about his friend. |

"I heard it is not nice to put swords to people's necks." Zegram said, slowly pulling off the cloth around his neck. In front of him he saw the cloaked man stand, unsheathing a rapier. He felt sweat on his eyebrow from nevousness. Things could go very wrong from here if things were going the way he didn't want them to. He watched the black-haired, dark-skinned man stand, look at him then walk out. He felt the woman's hand on his shoulder. "Zegram, when I say 'right' jump to the left." he heard her whisper. What? Did she say, 'Jump right when she said left.' or 'Jump left when she said right?' Oh well. Might as well improvise. "Captain Zegram Azros." the man said, advancing slowly. "You are a wanted man." Zegram frowned. A wanted man? "Why would I be a wanted man? Sure I'm a pirate but I'm not a human. I am..." He was rudely interrupted when the woman said, "Right." Suddenly the sword that had been at Zegram's neck jabbed out where his hand was seconds before. The rapier from the other man stabbed forward where Zegram's heart was but he stepped under the blade, causing the man to lose balance. With an advantage, he grabbed Sistian's wrist and leapt onto it as if were a platform. Immediately he heard a nice crack, signifying a break in the bone from his weight. Just before the man toppled over, Zegram lightly hopped off and gave just the push he needed on the back to make him fall. He finally turned to see the woman stab him. She took her sword and looked at the pirate for a second. Then she suddenly turned and rushed out. He rushed after her but couldn't find her in the streets. Clearly disappointed, he reentered the bar, retying his cloth around his neck, and went to Esteban. "You don't mind if I go with you, wherever you're going, do you?" he asked calmly. |

Esteban was surprised of the brawl that happened. It seem that he knew how to fight, that was good and bytheway he moved he was not drunk after all. He was in disadvantage but still the misterious pirate turned the table. You don't mind if I go with you, wherever you're going, do you? The half-demon sighed. Would he really stand this man? He wondered, but atleast it was not like he would be alone anymore. And what about facing his father Xenolectius, the pit fiend? Would this man run away? He looked at the man. Where ever i go? Even though it's dangerous and would open a path to hell? Esteban was dead serious. Because lately his life as been like hell. He was trying so hard to make the world a better place to live that it was counter attacking him with bad moments. it's only been a week since he left his village and yet, he had the impression to have pasts months on theroad and living....or holding on his life. |

Zegram had to think about that. He took a rum off a passing waitresses stand and sat in a chair. It was a clear bottle he saw. Its label interested him. A ship was on the sea heading towards the world's horizon. In the sky, on one side, was green and on the other side of the ship it was red. He muttered, "That's amazingly accurate." He then began to think. He remembered his old times, working as a cabin boy to first mate. He'd been through three wars... Actually dragged. Past his own realms. Oh yes, he remembered a nice, perfectly flat stretch plane made of stones where he and the rest of the crew had been stuck. That was probably what got Zegram partially insane. He chuckled at the memory, taking another gulp of rum. He'd been through a monstrous fortress where rich and poor men alike had been tortured and usually ended up dead and came out alive. Finally he came to a descision and stood. "Well I've made my descision. I've been through much and I'm coming." |

Well I've made my descision. I've been through much and I'm coming. Esteban stared at the pirate. He had the guts but he do not knows what hell could be like. "So you ready to put your life and soul on the line? Fine then, my name is Esteban. What's yours?" It was perhaps not a celestial, or a vampire but it would be company anyway. Perhaps the two of them could get stronger. But in doing what? They had to do something. An idea came to his mind. After all this years secluded in his village, the half demon have never seen much of Imythess, perhaps that they could se that. Helping people in need along the way. "Do you know much about this country? We could make a trip all around it, what do you think?" It was a pirate, he knew the sea but perhaps not the country. Maybe he knew even less then the rogue. |

So you ready to put your life and soul on the line? Fine then, my name is Esteban. What's yours? He held out a skull-ringed hand. "The name is Zegram. Zegram Azros. Nice to meet you Esteban." Do you know much about this country? We could make a trip all around it, what do you think? He nodded in agreement, pulling his hand back when it hadn't been shaken. "I know little about this place but I'm sure I can learn quickly." Zegram hadn'tthought about until then but he realized he still had no clue where he was. He whispered, "If you don't mind my asking, where is this?" He thought back of when he had been stranded at the port. Zegram watched his ship sail away. Curse his crew. He turned, tripped, and instantly fell on his face. Popping up, holding a sleeve to his bloody nose he walked towards the buildings. Suddenly he heard a man say, "It's a coin to leave your boat at these docks sir." Zegram turned. A white clad man holding a book looked at Zegram sternly. "Me?" Azros asked. The man nodded. "Which boat?" They pointed. Zegram sighed. He had to pay for uneeded docking. Zegram walked to the man. "I'll also need your name." Zegram's eyebrows raised. He sighed again. He pulled out ten coins and put them on the man's book. "Forget the name." he bribed. "...Welcome to the docks, Mr. Lyon." he said. Zegram thanked him and walked off. On the way to the buildings, he picked up a bag and shook it. Full of coins. Zegram looked to Esteban. "Shall we be going then?" |

The name is Zegram. Zegram Azros. Nice to meet you Esteban. "Same here Zegram. Same here." It was a strange name. For sure he was not from around. From somewhere beyond the sea that's for sure. Then the Half-demon wondered what was there beyond the sea?Was there a better world, a wolrd worst or the same as his one? I know little about this place but I'm sure I can learn quickly. Esteban nodded and took a sip of his rum. Atleast there was someone of the two who could know where they were going and where to pass. That was a worry lifted from the rogue's shoulders. If you don't mind my asking, where is this? "Pffffff!" All the rum that Esteban had in his mouth found itself all spread over the counter. The Barmaid glared at him, only replyied with a shy smile. She mumbled something saying how that man was an idiot. The rogue glared back at the pirate. "Then why didn't you say it? Do you know how stupid it's sound?" Shall we be going then? Esteban sighed. This trip could be longuer then it seems. He stood up payed for his drink even though he only drank half of it. "Tonight? Nowhere, only at the inn. We got to be ready for tomorrow." It was true, in a matter of days, Xenolectios could be on him at anytime. Later when he was in front of the inn. He entered without saying a word at all. He asked the innkeeper a room for two. "Ten ruppees, sir." Esteban shrugged "Oh, it's my friend who's paying. Thank you." He said as soon as he took the key, living no choice to Zegram bbut to pay up. |

Pffffff! Rum sprayed all over Zegram. His face was wet. His hair was wet. His eyes were wet and stung. The mild cuts on his face stung. They stung like hell. But Zegram ignored the pain. He grabbed his long hair and began to squeeze it out. He watched a puddle form on the floor. Once he got it as dry as he could, he shook his head, making some rum fly off. Soon he stopped but felt dizzy. Why were there two innkeepers? Where had the second Esteban apparated from? He grabbed his head to make the world straighten once more. He rubbed more drink from about his eyes, rubbing off some khol. Tonight? Nowhere, only at the inn. We got to be ready for tomorrow. It was true. Rest was a good idea. Zegram let his hair loose. Oh, it's my friend who's paying. Thank you. Zegram was determined to keep his name mentioned as little as possible. As a result, he handed the innkeeper twenty rupees. "Forget our names." he said. Then he followed Esteban, using what he needed to make dreadlocks out of his hair. |

Esteban did not said a word as Zegram entered the room. The half-demon has other things in mind. Where was Cordelia? What the vampire could be doing? Could she be thinking about him? Thinking about forgiving him? He sighed, there was no way to know. And he told her he would not seek her out. As for his father, the pit fiend Xenolectious, What could he be sching about? How could he enter this world, last time the fiend had use an item to get in the material plane. So how about now? No one could summon him, no one even knew him. That was a relieve. No problem for now. And the Celestian who got injured, did he had time to recover? If he had been recovered, where was he? What was his next step? Esteban wished he still could have been with him again. Strangely together they had a good group tactic, all based on eachother movement, without a word even spoken. With his head full of thoughts the rogue fell in a deep slumber. That should put his mind to rest and get him ready for tomorrow. |

Zegram finished what he felt like starting and entered his own room. He sat on his bed. Not much was likely to happen that night. Nevertheless, he sat in the most uncomfortable chair in the room and kept watch. His eyes began to feel droopy so he bit his tongue to wake himself. Zegram looked around. He had to think. What was that thief, Sigmund, up to? Was he still alive after that old business transaction? Perhaps, perhaps not. His thoughts trailed away towards his crew. Where were they? What were they up to? Had they already reached the isle? Surely not. Zegram placed his chart beside him. Without that they couldn't possibly learn of its location. Suddenly he heard a noise. His gaze turned towards the window. Quickly, he stood and dashed to it when he saw something outside it move. He opened it and looked up, down, right, left. Whatever it was, it was gone. He was about to close the window when he saw on the pavement below a shadow. He looked up once more and moved his head back in time to dodge a falling dagger. He saw it drop where his head had just been. Curious, he looked out again and used the top of the window to climb onto the roof. The glass broke as he climbed and in Esteban's room there was the odd noise of someone walking on the roof. |
