Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Divschatten's Dark Lady

Alice listened to them with one ear, she was not really intrested in what they where talking about, she was more thinking about her training with magic at the moment. She turned towards them again when Nina asked for there names. She did not say anything for a moment, but she shook her head slightly, to little for anyone to really notice.

"My name is Alice Winters of the Moon elf people" she calmly said.
"This girl really is in our way now, but we canīt kill her here, would be to......stupid" she thought. The elven lady sighed slightly.
"Yes we donīt like her at all, but we are right that we canīt do anything now." her other side said. Alice smiled to herself, but people would think that she was smiling because she was happy to be there. "We will kill her when the time comes for us to."

Zydus smirked, peering at Nina with curious eyes. "Yeah...I guess we could do that. I haven't trained with anyone in a long time; it's usually nowadays just flat out experience from 'adventuring' you could call it - as most would." He grinned slightly at her, before glancing back at Alice with a calm smile, before turning to speak to Nina again. "Magic users I haven't come against so often though, I'll admit."

Zydus held his hand up, flexing his fingers for a moment as if showing the main hand he would use for his weapons. He paused, glancing at Nina as she told them her name, nodding. "I'm Zydus. Well, Zydus Kelsin being my full name." He smiled, glancing at Alice also, before gazing ahead again.

Nina nodded at Alice as she said her name, then she looked at Zyduz as he explained his swordmanship.
"Adventuring is a good experience also but sometimes you are only wandering around without finding anything or anyone." Nina said and shrugged and took a zip from her juice.
"Maybe we should have a skimrish tomorrow morning, after breakfast, perhaps?" Nina asked Zydus, starting to slighlty ignore Alice since she wasn't saying very much and seemed to be somewhat hostile toward Nina.

Zydus thought for a moment, glancing around. Realising how empty the place was now, although not completely empty yet. He glanced sideways along the bar, before looking ahead again; his eyes in thought. "I guess we could. Although, I'm back here to just take it easy mostly for now." He smiled slightly, nodding at Nina. "I'll take some time out to try out a few things with you I guess though, if you really want to."

Zydus raised his eyebrows, glancing at Alice. "How about you, Alice? I've never tested my abilities against a magic user, as far as I can remember." He smirked, lowering his head for a moment as he brushed his fringe roughly. "Of course...we'll see what happens I guess." He smiled at them both.

Alice thought for a moment, then she smiled. "Well why not, that sounds like a good ide to me." she said. "I have nothing better to do anyway." she calmly brushed some dust of her dress and picked up her wand, she examined it for a moment, then she placed it back again.

"Why are we going to help them? They have nothing to do with the plan?"
the voice said in her head.
"Because the best way to deal with an enemie is to get close to them, keep your friends close but your enemies closer." Alice said back in her head.
"Well that might be true....."
Alice smiled to herself, of course it was a true.

Zydus smiled, nodding at them both. "I guess that's sorted then...Come look for me then, Nina, whenever you want our little bout." He smirked, sitting up straighter on the chair as he glanced ahead in thought. Wondering what he'd do tomorrow as well as the little fightihg practise. This was really his first time during the whole day to think about that kind of thing. He started to tap his fingers lightly on his knee, before looking around the inn.

"I guess it's too late for another drink now, unless we want to be kept awake for a while longer." He glanced between them both, lowering his head for a moment to hide a small yawn.

Well it looks to me like your pretty tired suger Alice said and smiled. I think I could use some rest myself to, think I will have a look if there are any room here at the inn.
she made a pause and closed her eyes for a moment, she used her hand to cover a slight yawn. I was right, I am tired, well it has been a hard day. she waved her hand to make the man in the bar see her, he quickly walked to them with a smile. "What can I do for your madame?" he asked. Alice smiled at him. I would like to rent a room for the night please. she said to him with a sweet smile. The man nodded. Right away miss, let me go check it our and get you a key" he then turned around and walked away.
Alice followed him with her eyes, then she looked back at the others.

Zydus smirked, watching Alice talk to someone who worked in the inn. "I've got my room sorted already, managed to get someone I know here to prepare the way for me when I arrived, fortunately." He looked at the man who had just spoken to Alice, planning to ask him also for his own key soon enough. "Are you staying here the night too?" Zydus stood up, pushing his stool in before glancing at Nina for a moment as he spoke.

The inn was now near empty, only a few left. Probably guests staying here too, as Zydus thought. He glanced around for a moment, smiling at the two of them as he stood waiting.

Celebriel

Celebriel had been traveling for quite some time before she found this town. She let out a long sigh before entering, she knew exactly what would happen. People would point, gawk, and some might even mistake her for a demon. She just hoped this time she would have to flee the watch guard for that same reason.

As she walked towards the tavern she saw very few people. That was alright with her. She prefered being alone if people were going to judge her wrongly. But...it would be nice to have friends who could look past her draconic blood.

Noise burst forth to meet her as she open the door to The Green Gryphon. As she walked up to the bartender she could feel everyone's eyes on her. This was usual. One man in particular seemed to more obvious about gapping at her.

She looked at him with a 'What is your problem?' expression before saying. "Yes I *am* a half-dragon. Get over it"

She made he way through the crowd, being careful not to hit someone with her long powerful tail. When she arrived at the bartender's table reached into her pouch and pulled out a few coins.

"Some hot water for tea please," she said calmly. She handed the man the coins, who seemed to stare at her clawed hands. He shakely took the coins from her and silently returned with her tea.

She took her hot drink and took a seat in a corner of the common room.

Alice looked around the inn agains, she noticed the new stranger, at first she did not think much about her, but then she noticed that something was not normal, since she had a tail and claws. She slightly raised one of her eyebrows, it was not everyday you meet a half dragon, because Alice could guess that the woman was a half dragon, normal dragons would not show there claws in a place like this, they would look just like normal people to hidde better.

"Yes I *am* a half-dragon. Get over it"

Alice smiled to herself. She was right about that then, how could this lady just speak right out about something like that, dragons was not very loved, and the same was with half-dragons to. Well it was her problem, Alice had nothing to do with it at all.

Celebriel sat down in a dark corner of the tavern. She had learned that it was best to remain as inconspicuous as she could. Which was hardly easy. She sort of stuck out in a crowd, having sliver skin, horns, claws, and a tail.

But it was still best not to draw too much attention. As she sat down the light from the fireplace reflected of her scales almost making look like she were sculted out of pure silver instead of being a living being.

She wrapped her long tail around her chair to keep it from being stepped on or from tripping a someone passing by. She seemed to drift of into her own thought as she took a deep drink of her tea.

Nina nodded as a reply to Zydus, she was about to stay here for the night, but she could almost not afford it.
"I will stay here for a while, I am not very tired yet." Nina told Zydus. "You look very tired so better you head to bed?" Nina suggested with a smile. "I will see you tomorrow morning, after breakfast then?" Nina asked them both.

Zydus nodded at Alice, smiling. "At times like this, it is...but it was more of a contact, not exactly a friend. Anyway, yes, I'm pretty sure this place has a few rooms left; I hope." He smirked for a moment, lowering his head to cover another yawn; quickly looking up straight again. Zydus turned slightly, facing the bar to see if the man had returned yet. Which he hadn't. Zydus hadn't noticed the new strange, the half dragon to be exact, until he glanced sideways. Peering at her for a quick, curious moment as she ordered a drink; as late as it was. He looked away quickly, as if trying to make sure he wasn't spotted 'staring', which he would call rude anyway even if he slightly did it there now.

Zydus turned around again, soon after the half dragon had walked off to a corner. He looked at Nina as she spoke, looking ahead again when she was done. "I'm not that tired yet, don't worry about that." He smiled slightly, glancing at her again. "Lets talk about tomorrow when the time comes, I think. I'm pretty sure I'll see you at some point in the morning though. I suppose you'll be staying the night here too then, if that happens?"

Nina nodded to Zydus with a smile, "Yes I will stay here for the night." she replied.
Then she let out a yawn and stretched herself since she was pretty tired alredy, but she didn't want to be rude and leave the conversation alredy.
While stretching her arms into the sky, she looked around in the room and then she noticed the half dragon in the corner. At first she thought she was a silver statue, but when she moved she noticed that it actually was a living creature.
Nina thought that Celebriel was very beutiful with her silver scales, even if she was different... she was still beutiful.

Nina hadn't notice her earlier when she was ordering her tea, so she looked at her with a fascinated gaze after she had stopped to stretch herself. Then she turned back to Zydus and Alice again
"About tomorrow?" Nina repeated. "Well... I am very curios about your way of swinging a sword." Nina said and smiled. She secretly wished that she was better than him by handeling a sword.
"I hope I will pick up some new ideas for the future wich can perhaps help me."
