| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The moon elf leaned against a wall watching people go by, no one even noticing him. Most took him for a knight, a guard for the city, because of how he dressed and acted. He wore a light colored tunic, and underneath was chain mail, and then he had a beautiful longsword with a unicorn head on it. He had a long black cloak over his shoulders, to keep himself warm from the chill of winter. His long black shaggy hair blew slightly in the breeze. His hand gripped the hilt of his two-handed longsword. No one took a second glance at him, except other guards. Fios was a bit happy non of the knights here seemed to know who he was. Since the moon elf was wanted, almost everyone was looking for him, accusing him of murder, when he did no such thing, but he had no say in the matter. He stood up straight now, and started walking off into a crowd, and went with it, as to look as normal as he could. He didn't want to be chased by guards right now, so he would have to go to a less crowded area. But luck wasn't on his side today, like most. Suddenly, a guard stepped out in front of him, blocking Fios path. The guard had a hand on his longsword. Soon, more guards gathered around the moon elf. The people in the crowd he was in moved quickly out of the way, and stood a little ways away, watching. Fios looked for a means of escape, but there was no way to. His gloved hand tightened on his sword. He didn't want to go to a prison for a crime he didn't do. He should go stand trial, but he knew what would happen. He would go to a prison for a while, then after that, executed. He shuddered at that thought. What had happened to the times people respected him as a good knight? Why did they have to assume Fios killed someone? He had been in the knights order for a long time, and everyone trusted him, but now, he was a renegade, in Imythess, and his homeland now. "Your making a mistake..." Fios whispered, shaking his head. Then, he pulled his sword out in a quick movement none of the guards had anticipated it. When he had his sword in a strong grip, he charged at the guard who had stepped into his path first. He brought his sword up, and cleaved it down upon the guards shoulder. The man had no time to react, except to pull his sword out, but not to block the sword that cut into his shoulder and to his neck. The man made a gurgling noise, but he fell over. There were screams from people around, and wailings from children. The other guards charged at Fios, but he was ready. He dodged attacks, and blocked them with his sword with a strong force, that one dropped his sword from the force of the blow, and the elf then stabbed him in the chest before he could pick it up. He didn't really want to kill some of these guards, but he didn't want to be stuck in a cell, to be killed, not until he sees Sava again, even though he was terrified of her now, but that won't stop him from needing to see her again. He pulled his sword out of the dead man, and managed to block another attack from another guard. |
