| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

How would the infused and demonic infused PrC interact with my char's split personalities? Would I be able to use both PrCs, depending on which personality is the dominant one at the moment? Ex: Good Radeus is in control, yay, he's angelic. Then the bad one takes over, and he shapeshifts to the demonic form. Could this be done? Since I take each personality as a seperate and distinct being inhabiting one body, could the good and evil side mesh with their respective otherworldly entities? |

I don't think you could get both PrCs, because it would basically be putting another personality inside the same body, so which ever one you had would then up being the most dominant personality because of the influence of the angel or demon, thus making it imposable to qualify for the other class. Besides, do you really want both an angel and a demon in the same body with your characters split personalities? That would be five different entities, two at each other's necks and wanting each other dead. |

Personally, I don't want the two PrC classes. Just wondering how good and evil interact with split personalities. *hopes for more opinions* |

It's impossible to take both classes. The celestial or demon would refuse the soul bond requried. Also there is a reason you can't take the class twice (I.e. a demon and another demon). As far as personalities go, it depends on whether they know of each other, know what the other does, if they can gain partial control of the body, and how often they maintain dominace. Demonic infused would empower your evil personality thanks to the unholy aura as well as the additional evil prescence. And the Evil personality would take hold far more often, while the good one would likely be weaker and have less control over the body. |

There are a few different ways to play a split personality. If they know each other you can have them actually argue with each other about who should be in charge. You could also have the evil personality gain control of one half of the body while the good gains control of the other and do them attacking each other or the good trying to prevent an attack by the evil personality. For that to happen they have to be aware of each other. If they don't know each other you can have them phase in and out, perhaps remembering bits of what the personality in charge does as if it were a dream. I've played a character with a split personality who could also be said to have the flaw nightmare. One side was good and the other was evil and they remembered what the other did as if they were dreams, which for the other personality might well be nightmares. I wonder if I could bring her here... |

Ace, further explain your whole post. Reasons please, so I can present counter-arguments.
Good has bless, which powers up the good personality. So how would the evil come out on top? The infused PrCs were created as opposites, neither more powerful than the other. (as far as I can see)
I want to understand this. Why would it refuse? What's the reason? Again, I'm just working out the mechanics of this. |

When you are infused, your character's soul is entwined with the celestial/demon that you choose. Obviously the celestial demons and angels hate each other with a vengance, having being mortal enemies since the dawn of time, and would never share a soul whatsoever. It's out of the question and no counter-arguement produced would change that, so you should just take what Ace is saying and take it to the bank. |

Rothardan hit the nail with the hammer. It's also less likely a angel/demon would accept a person with a second personality against it's beliefs, but that in it self is not enough to stop infusement, you'd just have one rather notable deed in either direction. |

Thank your for helping clear this up, Rothardan. Your reason makes sense. I dislike that you decided to be rude at the end, though. That was unnessesary. |

Sorry if I came out a bit rude, obviously it wasn't my intention. I guess I should use emotes a bit more to convey what I'm trying to say so that no-one will get confused. Damn. <_< |

No harm done. Unless anybody has anything more to add, I consider my question finished. Thank you all for your help. |
