| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

So, lets see if I understand this... I buy a Rex, and I can't use it as a fighting machine? I can understand not letting it swallow the enemy, but am I able to have it be aggressive at all? Would I be stuck with 600 gold worth of huge, prehistoric horse? Please tell me I can ride into battle atop a Rex and fight with it, not just on it. |

Well, of course you can have your carnivore attack, people. It would make sense to have some skill in handle animal, and with enough skill and enough training of your poor carnvore you can have it eating foes left and right. |

... if you have the skill Handle Animal higher then Adept, I could see someone being able to reverse the training, but you would have to do it in steps. And just because it doesn't eat people doesn't mean that it won't kill them. It just won't go randomly around and eat people because it's hungry. All that means it it doesn't think of people as food. Attack dogs don't think of people as food, but that won't stop it from attacking if you go in it's area! |

Yes, the main reason they are probably trained to not eat people is to keep the master/trainer from getting eaten. I see no real reason why one can't break tha ttraining with training of their own design. Alternatively you can catch a youngster in the wild and raise it to be a mean eating machine. Course that would also take skill in handle animal. |

I like where this thread is going... *prepares to save up massive amounts of gold* About the raptors, why are they the size of a turkey? Maybe Jurassic Park is lying to me, but I thought they were a bit bigger than that. |

Jurassic Park is lying to you. Velociraptors are the size of a turkey, Deinonychus on the other hand, are bigger. I'm glad someone is liking the dinosaur shop.

*just wikied Velociraptor* I'll be...@Veronna Of course I like the dino shop. I think it's a bit out of place and I'm never going to get all the skills and feats needed to fully use it, but it's a good idea. Nothing quite like rushing into battle aback a T-Rex and using it as your own personal traveling fortress. Next thing: Why is there no pet armor? Dragons, Horses, Dinos... All seem likely to die without proper protection. I'm looking for a tank with teeth, and the teeth part is buyable, but the tank part is sorely lacking. Should I have made an Admin Request topic? |

Jurassic Park made it up, then after they made it up a skeleton was discovered of the Utah Raptor, which is the largest Rapter in existence, which they made even bigger for the movie. Pet/Animal barding? thats a good idea, but I'm not sure how to do it... |

Barding could easily be added and would likely be be best done through my Animal tricks suggestion (by Master Ace) with a few slight adjustments. Otherwise the only barding would be from the charger class. |
