| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The chill surrounding Kellen cut Aikanaro to the bone. Perhaps returning to retrieve some of his lost possessions wasn't such a grand idea. It was true he had slightly grown in power since his father booted him from his home, and there was a fine chance the villagers had forgotten such a minor inconvenience, but it was still an entire town that didn't aprove of Aike at all. His eye twitch irritably at the memory of their faces and shouts. Nevertheless, Aikanaro was back, and this time for either his things, which he was sure were long gone, or revenge; he was getting one of the two. How it was going to happen, he had no idea. Sneaking in is always a bad idea, and he'd be chancing on how new the guards were. Taking advantage of the very strange, but very thick fog gracing the town, he wandered outside the city walls in hopes for finding his old route into the city, a decrepid water gate with a few missing bars. And just when he was about to give up with the thought that someone replaced it by now, his foot missed a step and he went tumbling forward into a ditch that spawned from the drain itself. The fog not only quieted his blunder, but it would have deadened the noise to anything a few feet away. A dirty grin spread across his face as he crawled on through and right up behind... a woman? Not sure if he had been noticed yet, he glanced around to see a man leaning against a wall, and both of them facing some sort of individual at the other end of the alley. He couldn't get a good look at the gentleman, but by the sound of it, the women didn't like him. "What are you? I understand immortal, but that is not so great a feat. I am immortal too, if you can call this unlife by that name." Now Aikanaro was a hell of a lot more curious. Two immortals? Maybe I'll get to see a fight. How cool would that be! Assume this character leaning against the wall was the woman's sidekick, Aike thought he'd even things a bit and be this other guy's sidekick. I can't do too much against two immortals, sure, but I can sure as hell suprise them! His grin spread even wider with such thoughts. Using the fog to sneak around the other side of one of the buildings, he was lucky enough to find some boxes and barrels stacked up ontop of each other high enough for him to clamber up to the roof. Leaning over the edge, he watched the two argue; Aike was giddy with anticipation, like a child at his first baseball game. |

Ornell had been about to answer him, just because she could, when she sensed someone else sneaking around. His body heat was hard to miss in the chill caused by the fog and she knew that chill all too well. For now she would let it be. She knew the person was there and exactly where they were. Following who ever it was in this weather would almost be too easy. She fell silent and let her hand drop back to her side. A slight smile tugged at the corner of her mouth. This was getting annoying. She should just kill the man and get it over with. Her right hand closed in a fist and a tiny flame curled up in her palm. Her eyes were still glowing. "Undead don't have two bodies and one mind, though some of the other Gods don't either. You can guess which one I am if you want to, though I probably won't tell you one way or another. That will have to be something you find out the hard way, if you wish to. You haven't given me your choice yet, and I'm in no mood to guess." Valen's arms dropped to his sides and he took a step forward, one hand raised. He knew that tone, that look. "My Lady, calm yourself." He said to her in warning, his tone sharp. Her eyes shifted to him for a moment, then flickered back to Zorgn. She inclined her head forward slightly and in almost a whisper, "Well?" |

It seemed the girl had grown tired of Zorgn's attempts to evade questions and annoy her. It was rather surprising, though not as much as it should've been, when she revealed she was a god. That really explained more than any of the things Zorgn had thought of. It meant her bodyguard was definitely not the man he seemed, she was way more powerful than him, and he had no chance in an all out fight. Bah, I'm already dead anyway. Why not see what happens? Zorgn was still grinning, and was almost laughing at the onesidedness of it all. At least he'd have one final go at trying to burn the town down. A delay would be better than a fight. "Mistress, I plan to burn this little town to ashes. You said you didn't want trouble while you're here, I can understand that. Do I understand that, after you move on through, I will not be interfered with?" She might bite. Maybe he'd just get a fireball in his face for his trouble. Either way, he had to try. He couldn't expect much of anything to happen to distract her attention away from him. It'd take a miracle, and as late as it was, he didn't expect much to happen. |

((OOC: short post...)) He was in a good mood still at least. Perhaps things would go her way after all… perhaps. Ornell shrugged her shoulders, her red wings flexing slightly with the movement before folding lightly against her back once more. After a moment of thought, she relaxed slightly and the flame that had been in her hand and in her eyes cooled slightly. Her voice was still quiet as she spoke. "What should I care what you do while I'm not here? This village isn't under my guard and I'm not here to baby sit it. If it can't take a bit of fire being in the middle of the grasslands, which would be prone to brush fires in the heat of summer, then it would be their own fault. So is it a deal then? No trouble while I'm here?" "My Lady I don't..." Valen started to disagree with her. Her gaze turned on him and he fell silent and frowned, then crossed his arms and leaned sideways against the stack of crates, sliding them about two inches so that they were against the wall. The top one wavered and the wood creaked. He would have a few choice words for her later, but for now... he would go along with her. |
