| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

He clanked his glass to hers and kept it against the mug, using it to lean forward and to keep his secret between them. Theron murmured, "Alright then, lass. Listen up. Every morn 'fore the sun graces the horizon, I know of a sailboat that sits there unattended for hours. It's not the most glamorous thing in the world, but it's a boat, and it's stealab... liberatable." He glanced around the room and shook his head at the baretender when meeting eyes with him and the man silently asking Theron if he needed another drink yet. He turned back to Io, "The boys that own it run to this very bar for a drink every day b'fore they set sail and don't even hire no guard to keep the fair maiden company. Such indecency needs to be punished and I c'n think of no better way than to give such a fine lass to someone more..." He clanked their mugs together as he said, "suitable." He raised an eyebrow and waited for her to shout in joy and disrupt his secrecy before continuing. "If we can watch them sail into the harbor and wait until they come arunnin' in here, I can get ol' Smitty over there... Theron nodded his head sideways in the direction of the bartender, "...to give me the signal, we can take it and live...!" He grabbed at the air roughly, seizing the ship on his thoughts. He slammed his mug down on the table, "What say you...!?" His excitment and hush, but fierce nonetheless. |

That’s all he had to do, was tell her to listen up. His voice inflicted upon her a hook that promised not only the ocean but riches as well. It was impossible to turn such an offer down. Despite her usual lack of attention, she kept her eyes fixated on Theron as he laid out the plan. When it came down to official pirate business, she was all there. It was just the endless talk that bored her and caused her to ease the lending of her ear. "suitable." A wide grin spread across the ‘ol She-Pirate’s face, and though she did not hoop or holler, their was an unmistakable amount of mischief in her flashing green eyes. It was the perfect plan, and there was no one no how gonna mess it up for them. Iolanthe was going to get onto the sea if it was the last thing she did! She returned the clank as he returned his own mug to hers and not only was there mischief but also excitement in her eyes as well. This was going to be the start of a beautiful friendship; she could see it already. Sailing the Big Blue… …and returning to her dream. Iolanthe had drifted into her own little dreamworld where the wind was already singing through her hair as she relaxed in the crow’s nest, listening for the next order from the captian who usually had too much booze. And in free time going to the sea ports “liberating” as Theron would say, people who’s coin purses often looked too full for their own good. It was a beautiful life that Iolanthe couldn’t say no to. "What say you...!?" A great big smile spread across Iolanthe’s face and she jumped out of her seat and patted Theron on the back. “What the ‘ell are we still doin’ 'ere?!” A big laugh rumbled out of her intoxicated throat and she sat back into her chair, after kicking up her feet onto the table. She couldn’t wait. That was for sure. |
