| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Run. Just run. Was the thoughts of the tiefling known as Fehade Golden. All he could think about was to run, do nothing else, just run, and he did. He ran fast, as fast as he could go. His breathing came out in ragged gasps. He ran on and on, not stopping for a break, wanting to put as much distance as he could between him and his follower. Then, he could not take another step. He fell to the ground, unto his knees and hands. He coughed violently, but managed to regain himself, trying to calm his hard breathing, but didn't do so well in that. Soon, it started to snow in the cold hair. Winter, this year, was coming fast. He hated the cold, but he didn't think of that now. Tonight, Fehade was afraid, scared. There is only one thing that could scare him, well, maybe two, but the first one was his father, Hakri. Then, there was the sound of footsteps coming towards him. Fehade looked up at his father, who circled him, before crouching down in front of him, a cruel smile on the demon-infused face. "That is no way to treat your own father, Fehade." He said, his voice cold with disgust. "Father..." Fehade whimpered the word, and shivered violently. Hakri reached forward, and put his hand on his sons shoulder, though, not in a comforting way. "You've grown strong. Stronger then I would have thought." Hakri spoke in his still cold tone. He looked at Fehade's face, taking it all in, then, a small, cruel smile played across his face. Suddenly, he stood, grabbed Fehade's arm, and pulled his roughly to his feet, but Fehade could barely stand, and Hakri didn't even try to help steady him, he just took a couple steps back, and watched him. "What do you want?" Mumbled the tiefling, looking down at the ground, mainly concentrating on staying on his feet, he didn't want to fall over, and seem weak to his father, even if he hated his fathers guts. Hakri didn't answer, he just watched Fehade, with his cold look. After a long moment, he opened his mouth to speak, but then thought against it and shut it again. "Why are you here?" Fehade now hissed, getting annoyed. His father would never come to seek his son, unless he had a real reason to, and Fehade was started to get impatient about, even though, it was hard to for him to get impatient when he is full of fear. "Your mothers dead, and all of our family members, and your sisters have disappeared." Hakri said, in a odd, despairing tone, though, it still held coldness. Fehade stared at his father, to see if he was lying, but then realized he wasn't, and a small grin crepted unto his face. "Well, that sounds like joyful news to me." He said, though, soon regretted it. In a fast movement, Hakri drew out his whip, and lashed it out at Fehade, and it hit him hard on his arm. Fehade cried out in surprise, and took a step back, now clenching his arm, where blood now flowed slowly. "The only reason I sought you out, boy, is because I want you to find out where your sisters went. And you will do so, with all the free time you have." His father commanded. Fehade stared at his father with anger, but then bowed his head. There was no way he could refuse his father. If his father commanded him to do something, he had to do it, no matter what. He then fell to his knees, head still bowed. "As you command, father." Fehade hissed. After a long moment, he looked up, and noticed Hakri had left. Sighing with relief, he shut his eyes tightly, and mumbled something under his breath. Slowly, he stood, and stumbled down the road. He wished he didn't have to look for his sisters, but he had to now, he had to obey Hakri, no matter what, if he didn't, then who knows what would happen then, it would be worse then banishment from home. |

Kyrus the High Elf watched the Tiefling from his hidden vantage point, he crept slowly out onto the path behind him and tailed him a little ways. He had heard the exchange between the older Tiefling and this younger one, the older one was obviously his father and had sent him off on some sort of errand which the younger one was none too please of. Ah Tieflings, what curious creatures they were, human but not quite human. Being an Elf Kyrus had much knowledge of lore available to him but this Tiefling interested him for some reason which was yet unclear to him. "You are Fehade are you not?" he said softly from among the shadows, although he was a High Elf he saw the benefit that concealing oneself in the shadows could provide. |

"You are Fehade are you not?" When he heard the voice, he turned on the spot sharply, but wished he had not, for he was already weak from running, and he fell to his knees again, he would have reached for his sword, but he had had a wound on his fighting arm, his right arm, and it still throbbed with pain from the whip. Fehade hated being hit with that whip, he remembered when he was little younger, he was whipped for saving his sister Zehavya, which also brought banishment upon him. He stared at the shadow where the voice had come from. "Maybe I am, and maybe I ain't." Hissed the tiefling coldly. At the moment, he wished his father was here, to kill whoever was in the shadows, but Hakri was long gone most likely, and here was Fehade, feeling weak, not even being able to hold his sword. Then, his lips curled into a cruel smile. Well, tht wasn't the only way to protect him. He still had his dark magics. He waited, to see if a threat would come, if so, he would be ready. His left hand started to get a dark mist about it, a soft crackling noise coming from it, though, he would not use his magic, unless need be. |

Kyrus stepped from the shadows to stand before Fehade, he saw him in his weakened state, barely able to hold his own sword and being a High Elf took pity on him. But he also noticed the crackling dark power in his hand "Relax my friend I am not here to hurt you. I merely watched what happened to you," he said. He felt sorry for the unfortunate Tiefling, one should not have to be treated as creully as he was, even by his own father. He extended a hand to help the young Tiefling up "You don't need to put up with that Fehade, you should not be treated like that." |

"You." Fehade hissed deadly, glaring at the elf, then remembered that he was in a terrible state. He couldn't get into a fight, the elf could easily chop his head off if need be, just because the tiefling was weak at the moment, so he held his temper back, and calmed himself. He hating having anyone help him also, it was terrible, but that was just his proud, stuck-up self talking. He stared at the elf for a long moment, then slowly, the blackness around his left hand disappeared slowly. Decided against using it, though, he also hoped it wouldn't be the death of him, but then a small smile grew across his face. Not many warriors liked to fight those who have no weapons, they liked to keep their honor. The smile left, and Fehade reached up, and took the mans hand and pulled himself up, wobbling slightly on his feet. "Relax my friend I am not here to hurt you. I merely watched what happened to you," The tiefling glared. "Just because you may have seen happen to me, doesn't mean you have to take pity in me." He snapped. He had meant to control his anger, but he hated when someone may take pity on him, he found it annoying. He bit his tongue, trying to control his temper again. "I have to put up with it, elf, unless I want to lose more then I have already lost." He spat. He was never good at controlling his temper, especially when all his life, all he has ever done was cause grief, and destruction. |

Kyrus laughed at his words "You are a spirited one I shall give you that," he said as he helped the Tiefling up. His High Elf nature was showing through "And because I saw it doesn't mean I should ignore it," he retorted easily. This Tiefling's anger and contempt had little effect on him, it didn't phase him in the least "You would be wise to keep a civil tongue in your head Tiefling, if you go around talking like that it won't be long before someone puts a knife in your ribs." He studied the Tiefling curiously "Ah so you are Fehade Golden, just as I thought," he said with a disarming smile "word of you gets around, you are establishing quite a reputation." |

He stared at the elf, grimacing at the threat he had given him, then a slow smile spread across his face, and he bowed his head a little. "My apologies, elf." He said, a little nicer, though, there was the sound of mocking his his voice. He wanted to act nicer, but, somehow it was impossible for him to do, all he did was be cruel and evil, he hardly knew how to be nice anymore, it was a strange thing to be nice, when all his life, he was taught to be evil. He grinned. "Of course I am. I am quite glad I am getting a reputation, it is always fun." He said, and laughed cruelly, though ,the laugh turned into a cough. He regained himself soon, and stood very still, and looked at the elf curiously a moment. "What makes me wonder though, is how you know my last name? No one knows it, not a single person, not even the trees know it, only my family, and Zehavya." He said, speaking the name with a anger hiss. And it was so, no one knew what the the families last name was, only those they told, they always refused to let anyone know their name, afraid that someone may come after them if they found out, even though, they all lacked fear, but still, no one knew their last name was Golden, and Fehade was pretty sure Zehavya wouldn't tell anyone either, even if she hated the family. |

Kyrus smiled disarmingly at Fehade again "You are wondering how I know the last name of your family," he said "I know your families last name because i know your sister Zehavya." His thoughts went back to the day he had met Zehavya and he shook his head with a smile at the thought of the Demon-Huntress "I found her to be quite a mistrustful one indeed, she didn't trust me from the get go." His brilliant blue eyes rested on Fehade as he waited for him to speak "And it seems that it is an attribute that runs in the family." He smiled and nodded as Fehade apologised "See, was that so hard? You are not evil Fehade, only you can make the choice to be evil or good." |

"Zehavya's a fool for telling you." He hissed, taking a couple steps back from Kyrus, and looking up and down the street. He had to get looking for his sisters, if he delayed longer, then who knows what Hakri will do, but if the tiefling is lucky, his father won't come at all, not until he found something. Fehade had no idea where to start looking for his sisters, why would they just disappear? They loved their father, and followed his every order. Like servants, he thought to himself. A grin broke across his face soon. "Never trust a Golden. And we never trust anyone. Its a fun trait for us, from our fathers side." He said, still grinning, then, it was gone, and anger flashed in his blood red eyes. He hated how the elf spoke like that, hoe he said that Fehade was not evil, right then and there, he wanted to drive a sword through the elf. He bit his tongue, if he said the wrong thing, there could be nothing he could do to stop the elf from killing him. Fehade cursed at himself in his thoughts. Suddenly, there were roars, and growls coming from a alley way, and coming out of the shadows were two large felines, one was black as night, with shadowy yellow eyes. A panther. Then, the other was a tiger, its orange stripes bright, and black dark, its eyes a dark color. The two felines came to the side of Fehade, and he grinned insanely. These creatures were his, he got them a long while ago, when he felt like it, and they were tamed. He actually got someone to train them for him, and that persons name was Mara. She was a good person, and Fehade always got her to do him some things, even though, last week, he was assigned to kill her, which he managed to slip out of. "Ah... Rozpalsariel and Nzalalih always know when I need them..." His voice was slithery, it sounded just like his fathers, that was one thing Fehade got from his father, his cruel slithering voice that could send shivers up ones spine. |

Kyrus stood and watched as the two cats slunk to Fehade's side and his eyes flicked from them to the Tiefling "I see you do not think to highly of your sister," he said in his elven accent "Oh she didn't tell me, let's just say she wasn't too careful about keeping it hidden. So it didn't take too much for me to discover it," he said. Kyrus' own cat, Samson shifted on his back and rubbed himself against his cheek and purred in his ear "Ah so you are a cat person too Fehade," he said motioning to his two cats "that is good." |

He made a hissing like noise in his throat, and glared at the elf. Why should he think highly of his sister? It was her fault that he was banished, well, thats what he thinks, even though it was him who had chose to save her, but still, there were many secrets in their relationship as family, no one knows why they hate each other, no one knows them. They keep it a secret, no matter how hard one will try, you could never figure out the secrets. Its the blackest part of the two that no one will see. "If your smart, you'd stay away from that wrench." He growled. Then, a small, evil smiled crossed his face. He had a idea in his head, something to get rid of his sister, but then he bit his tongue, not going to say it out loud, it would ruin his plan if he did, and he remembered he couldn't do it now, he had to figure out where his sisters went. He grimaced. Cats. He actually hated most cats, Fehade just liked big cats, big evil creatures, those caught his interest quite a lot. Once again, he smiled evilly. "You can say I do like... felines." He said in a slow, quiet voice. His legs suddenly buckled, not being able to stand long. He clutched at Rozpalsariel, and the tiger didn't mind, but just stood there, as Fehade was bent over, keeping himself up by having the tiger basically propping him up. "Damn, father." He hissed. "Fehade... go." A voice said in the tieflings voice, and he suddenly looked up, terrified. He forced himself to his feet again. "I have to find my sisters..." Fehade mumbled, shaking. His sisters. He hated his sisters, most were quite scary, especially Zakiya. "Zakiya." He shuddered at the name. |

Kyrus looked at Fehade and felt pity for the Tiefling as he collapsed and clutched to his tiger to help him get to his feet "Why should I stay away from Zehavya?" he asked curiously "she doesn't seem to threaten me." He walked along at the Tiefling's side "I know it is not my place to ask this but why do you hate your sisters? What is it they did?" He did not have any family himself but if he did he could not imagine hating one's on sisters. |

He laughed, almost as if it was obvious why he should stay away from the demon-hunter. "Because, she can't be trusted. She is a demon=hunter, she kills any demonic thing, even if its a person who has a little bit of demon blood. Because she'll kill even you if you get in her way." He said, smiling slightly, and it was like a snake smiling evilly. His grip tightened on the tiger, till he finally found the strength to stand up straight, and kept his balance. He released his grip on the tiger, and stared at the elf. "Why do I hate my sisters?" He repeated, then a snarled look curled unto his face, of anger, and disgust. "Would you hate your sisters if they held you still, while your own father whipped you? Would you hate them if they branded you with the brand of banishment? Would you hate your sisters if they nearly killed you? How about if they destroyed your life?" He hissed. "They did all that to me, in less then a year." He said, very coldly, again with disgust. He stared at the elf, anger flashing in his eyes. His left arm seemed to throb again, where the brand had been placed. He turned slowly, and started walking down the street, he was slow because of feeling weak, but even so, he had to work on finding his sister. Both the panther and tiger followed him at his sides, whenever the tiefling stumbled the smart creatures got closer to him, to help steady him. Fehade didn't even look back to see if the elf followed or not, he just walked, needing to find his terrible sisters. |

Kyrus' eyes grew wide as he heard what Fehade said "They did that to you?" he asked incredously "Who could anyone do that to a sibling? How could a father do that to his own son?" This shocked and amazed Kyrus as he was a High Elf, among his people these sort of things were unheard of. He gave a sharp whistle and his Gryphon Solomon gave spiralling down from the sky and landed at his side, he eyed the Tiefling suspiciously with a squak "Fehade, I did not know. I am sorry that you had to go through all that. I understand why you hate your sisters. How could they do that to their own brother! But I met Zehavya, even fought with her. She did not strike me as a threat or dangerous, still she was quite mistrustful." |

((OOC: Zehavya didn't fight you...just didn't trust him...)) Fehade laughed at the elf's questions, well, they almost seemed like question. He shook his head, while he walked on. How could they? They are like me, tieflings. My father is a demonic infused. Anyone who didn't obey him, he punished." He said, in a hiss. He stared straight ahead, only giving a glance at the gryphon that appeared. Both the felines growled ferociously at it, but Fehade snapped his figures, and they stopped, following at his sides again. "My family follows my father. Therefore, they obey him like a dog obeys his master." He said, thinking of the day he disobeyed his father, and grimaced. He looked up, wondering where he should start looking, but he didn't know where at. He considered the library, but who would record his family who had just recently disappeared, and sides, no one in Imythess knew of the Golden's. Only the elf. He flinched slightly at that thought. He can't know for long, something should be done about that, but not now also. "Whatever. If you wish to still trust her and everything, then go ahead. It could be the end of you." He said. He would love the idea of the elf believed him, but it was also true, sort of. She wasn't one you should trust, or consider a comrade. No matter what, she would kill a demon, even if it was someone you cared about. He has seen her kill a man who loved a tiefling. Zehavya had killed him, just because he tried to stop the hunter from killing the one the human loved. Fehade grimaced in disgust, then smirked. He at the time, had been hiding in a tree, where his sister couldn't see. That was fun to witness, it was her side of evil no one saw... usually. Fehade stumbled again, but this time regaining to his feet very quickly. He felt his strength come back a little. |
