| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

There was an earlier help topic by Greed called Probably a dumb question. These are known items from Imythess's 3rd Birthday party (or at least what is in the photobucket as such!). If anyone who knows what these are could post it we (as in the admins) will be able to post it in the Museum! ![]() Anniversary Buckler- Imythess's 3rd Anniversary Buckler! ![]() Burning Oil- This container of oil catches fire when exposed to air. When thrown the container breaks open and what ever the oil touches catches fire. ![]() Claws- These weapons come in a matched pair and fit easily over your hands. ![]() Fly Dragon- Though this creature is tiny, it packs a big punch! It is impossible to catch or strike a fly dragon, for they are very quick. Once it finds a suitable owner it sicks with it for life and obeys its every command. This tiny creature comes armed with the Heal, Stop Disease, and Magic Missile spells, and can communicate telepathically. ![]() Force Blade- A sword that is able to fire bolts of energy from its blade. The bolts lock on and 'track' the target very rarely missing. When they hit, they do moderate amounts of force damage. (note: If memory serves, Rothardan requested to use Holy Energy unstead of just Force because of his character, due to his constent Bless from being Infused.) ![]() Gargoyle's Cloak- Allows you to turn into an indestructible statue of yourself if completely covered with it (hood over face, cloak closed). You can remain a statue for up to 20 minutes, but can return to normal at will any time before the 20 minutes is up. During this time you cannot do anything but observe your surroundings. ![]() Potent Holy Water- When this blessed water is tossed onto an undead or evil aligned being, it causes quite a bit of damage. ![]() Potion of Chance- This potion grants the drinker an abundance of good luck. Your spells and attacks find their target more often, you are more able to dodge and defend yourself, and good things generally happen to you. Can only be used once a month of it will lose its effects. Lasts one topic. ![]() Shapeshifter's Plate- Gives the wearer the ability to change shape into any non-magical animal while keeping the properties of the armor. ![]() Spirit Blade- This blade is known to be able to strike spirits and other insubstantial or ethereal beings. It also deals double damage to the undead. ![]() Steel Dragon Hatchling- This small dragon will grow up in a few weeks. ![]() Tribal Shield- When an opponent's weapon strike this shield it bounces back very quickly and makes it very difficult for your opponent to maintain control of their weapon. Often causes them to drop it. ![]() Vampiric Blade- If cut by the Vampire Blade, the injured is drained of energy and it is transferred back to it's wielder. ![]() Winged Boots- Grants the wearer the ability to hover a few feet in the air. |

Ooh Ooh, I know one. Potent Holy Water- Can be tossed onto an undead or evil aligned to cause lots of damage. Claws were indeed normal weapons that fitting on the users hands. They had no special effects, and might later make a nice shop item. Burning oil was just that, an oil to be thrown allowing fire to burn on things it normally burn (Yay for Greek Fire Water) Not sure about the spirit blade. |

Actually that sounds about right Nightwind. It wasn't capable of passing through armor, though. |

![]() Spirit Blade This is the only blade in Imythess known to be able to strike spirits and other insubstantial or ethereal beings. It also deals double damage to the undead. Force Blade is correct, and yes I did ask it for it to be 'holy'. ![]() Gargoyle Cloak Allows you to turn into an indestructible statue of yourself if completely covered with it (hood over face, cloak closed). You can remain a statue for up to 20 minutes, but can return to normal at will any time before the 20 minutes is up. During this time you cannot do anything but observe your surroundings. |

That can't be right for spirit blade. Any weapon with ghost touch would have the ability to hit such immaterial creatures. Otherwise the wapon sounds about right. |

Alright! I've edited the first post now. If everything now seems in order, I will post the items above in the museum. I'll give everyone a few days to look it over to see if we are in agreement with our poor missing items. If anyone else knows about any of the other items lost to the crash, such as last years Halloween stuff, please let me know! |

Since I made all the items, I figure I'm most qualified to confirm that all of the descriptions sound correct.
