Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The formation had been broken. Atleast enough so that Phiros could activate his will to teleport. So he did. He teleported to the hind of the broken formation, his wings and staff at the ready. The so called soldiers stopped their charge, some of them going after Aether and the rest just looked around, wondering where Phiros had gone. "Where the hell did it go!? He was just here! Where's that monster!?" shouted one of the guards, in a tone of aggression and fear. Apparently, the man wasn't sure if he should be scared, or angry. Phiros would help him on that one.
"A monster, am I!?" roared Phiros, now revealing his whereabouts. However he would not allow the guards to turn around. Instead he would plunge the sharp tips of his wings into the one who made such a foolish insult to Phiros. The one who claimed Phiros was, as he said, a monster. The others would feel the wrath of Phiros' fully charged staff.... a fully charged volt of electricity. Basic, but it possessed enough power to electrify these humans' day.

The one who spoke so foolishly about Phiros heard the rough voice, as a result, he attempted to turn around and set sight on Phiros.... what awaited him was not Phiros, but his death. "UGGGHHH!!! You-- UGHH!!" the man gripped Phiros' wing in a futile attempt to inflict atleast some sort of damage upon him. As I said, it was a futile attempt. "....Demon." muttered the man as his life was taken from him. His soul would be drifting along the lifestream now, headed for either the Underworld.... or an afterlife of happiness, something very unlikely to happen.
The others, unlike the previous guard, managed to turn around completely before getting killed. Not that it would help them anyway. "Get him!" shouted one, while the others all followed. Luckily, Phiros knew they were going to attack him, so he did what he planned on doing since the beginning. He pointed his staff out toward the charging guards, and released the energy within.

Numerous bolts of electricity emmitted from the staff, meeting the guards as they foolishly rushed their single opponent. Before they could see their error, the guards were hit by the bolts. The energy proved to be too much for them, as a result, they were all thrown back a few dozen feet. They didn't get up, but they were not dead. Just hurt, to the point where they could not get up even if they wanted to. The pain was just too unbareable.
Phiros, having fought off the threat, for now, looked around, where countless bodies now stained the streets with blood and their organs. Then, a look of worry would appear upon Phiros' face. It wasn't what he saw that worried him, it was what he didn't see. Where was Aether? He didn't see her get hit by any of the guards, and he didn't think she would be killed by them... and she wasn't the type to flee, especially from such foes as these humans. So where'd she go? Lifting his nose into the air, Phiros sniffed out her scent. She was near, but he couldn't pinpoint where she was exactly. Which lead him to one conclusion, she returned to the rooftops. He wasn't sure why, but he definately wanted to know.

As more and more guards seemed to appear, Phiros teleported to the rooftop he had attacked from earlier. Upon getting there, he looked around some more. She wasn't on the roof he was on, but another. The rooftop just next to the one he was on. What was she doing? Phiros, being as puzzled as ever, teleported yet again, this time, beside Aether Draka. "Mind telling me what you got planned? Phiros asked while inching his way to the edge, where he stared down at the guards that were now totally lost and searching in the nearby alleyways for both him and Aether. Such fools...

OOC - Meh.... got kinda distracted over here, so I had to kinda rush through the last half of the post. Sorry. :(

Lightning? He could use lightning? That was so cool! She paused what she was doing to watch him for a moment, learning more about his fighting style as she did so. With lightning she had to keep an eye on him too. She had been electrocuted by friendly fire before. It was by accident and she had been healed, but that didn’t stop it from hurting or the fact that the ones who were hit on purpose smelled like cooked meat. What was the point of cooking meat anyways?

She shook her head and looked back to what she had been doing. The summoning circle before her was the first summoning spell she had ever used. It had been used at least twice before now, perhaps three times, but she had been drunk and didn’t really remember. She did remember the fire… She traced the circle with her finger looking forward to more flames. With a grin she sat back on her heels and took a deep breath. She had been told so many times she was no good at magic, but she needed to learn how to summon if she was ever going to be able to talk with her grandmother on her own terms and not under the fallen-angel’s terms.

A sound came from behind her and she paused, then stole a glace back and relaxed. It was Phiros. When his question came she smiled wolfishly up at him. “Not really, but I’d rather show you.” She said and placed both of her hands on the circle. The ring turned black and seemed to light fire. AD leaned back and stood, taking a step back as the flames rose and gathered in the center of the circle in a humanoid form. The fire elemental looked her way and she felt herself still grinning.

“Smoke everyone out of the building between here and that one.” She told it, pointing to the building she thought might be a barracks. The roof where the elemental had appeared burst into flames once more and the elemental slipped through the hole. Within moments thick black smoke began to pour out of the hole. She took another step back and found herself at the edge of the roof. She looked over at Phiros, tossing her hair over one shoulder as she did so. “I can summon another if you want it to do something else.” AD offered her newest friend, glad someone else hated guards as much as she did.
