Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. The Misforunate Moogle Name: Tock (He is disowned so he doesn't use his last name) Race:Moogle (Adorable bipedal creatures with small bear-like furry bodies, pointy cat-like ears, small bat-like wings that seem to give them flight despite being too small proportionally to the body, and a strange antenna-like structure stemming from their head which is called a pom-pom.) The mount becomes so used to battle strategy that it instinctively avoids dangerous situations like pike walls and loose stones/bodies/weapons strewn on the ground. The rider can concentrate almost entirely on the battle without having to worry about his/her steed becoming injured. ~Animal Instinct - A further training of the Charger's mount, the mount can defend itself in battle. Opponents can be attacked sporadically in close range by the mount primarily in self defense. The mount is trained to do so only if necessary or requested so that the greatest protection and strategy can be maintained at once. ~Smooth Riding - The mount has become trained to move quickly and without jostling the rider too much in the process. The mount is slightly quicker than others of its breed and archery from atop the mount is about as accurate as if the Charger was standing still on the ground. Level Two - ~Armored Escort: The Charger is granted a custom fit set of armor that is tailored for his or her steed. The armor is designed by the Charger, potentially being embroidered in materials as high quality as gold and diamonds. Mithril and adamantium can never be used, and no magical enhancements are inclusive in this process. The mount has been trained with this equipment so that it does not hinder movement, nor does it tire the mount excessively. (Light Wicker Barding) ~Steel Wall: The Charger has perfected using a small or medium shield in combination with a one-handed weapon. Having been trained to keep the shield up and in a guarding position on the shield side, the Charger can defend against most attacks without much thought, allowing him or her to concentrate on the battle on only one side of the mount, if necessary. Radiant ![]() Level One - ~Fist of Light (Pom-Pom Magic) - Allows the Radiant to call light into their hand that can brighten the darkest rooms for an entire party, so long as it is not a magical darkness. ~Blinding Flash (Pom-Pom Magic) - Using a highly concentrated Fist of Light, the light grows powerful enough to become a blinding flash, temporarily blinding any susceptible onlookers (including a careless Radiant caster). This ability may only be used once per IC day (marked by a new dawn), and if used, removes the ability of the Radiant to use any Pom-Pom magic until the dawn of the next IC day. Level Two- ~Solar Vision: The Radiant may partially see through normal darkness such that pitch black environments appear to be lighted by a mid-morning sun. This has no affect on anyone but the Radiant. ~Fist of Light (Pom-Pom Magic): The fist of light ability is strengthened and can now partially pierce magical darkness to a point that only shapes and motion are visible to the party. ~Blinding Flash (Pom-Pom Magic): This ability may now be used up to three times a day before hand magic is disabled until the following dawn. ~Sun Shimmer (Pom-Pom Magic): Whatever non-sentient target is affected by this magical imbuement glows in accordance to its master's will, capable of lighting entire caves when used at full strength, for a period of one IC week. If the enchanted item is normally worn, either as armor or a weapon, it also allows the user to become slightly more accurate and quick in combat for the same amount of time. This ability cannot be used if a blinding flash has previously been performed in the same day, and using this ability removes the option to use other pom-pom magic until the next dawn.
