| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

*revamped. A bit. More to come, I hope. I’m a modern hero. Not some arrogant remnant of a bygone era where mighty warriors struck down dragons at the whim of some golden-haired maiden. Those days have gone and times are changing. Now there are no real heroes left. There is no need for them. The few that remain have sided with the demonic powers, and the few that haven’t are corrupt, money lusting misguided madmen. They need to change and move on. That’s where I come in. I don’t care about democracy. Or totalitarianism, authoritarianism, liberalism. It doesn’t matter to me, ‘cause all that matters is that society moves on and refuses to stagnate. There can be no permanent peace, because that will bring complacency and like a muddy puddle on a street somewhere, civilisation will grind to a stuttering halt and evaporate, cease to be; die. Anyone that poses a threat to the progress of society stands in my way, and it’s best not to stand in my way. I’m a badass. I have ways of moving you. You’ve been warned. This is getting gritty and cliched. Let's tone up the madness and information giving. Things you need to know about me: 1.I’m not blonde, I just have JRPG hair, which is cool. 2.Yes I can carry the three swords I currently have strapped to my person. 3.No I can’t use them particularly well, thank you for asking. 4.My role in a battle is what I call moral un-support. Especially for the other side. I’m very immoral towards them. 5.Annoyingly, some of us have to earn money, which I do by doing all the odd jobs my contacts in high places tell me to do. At least, their servants tell me to do it. 6.Yes you do meet a lot of nice people in this job. 7.Yes I meet some bad ones too. 8.I’m casually unracist, that is, humans can basically ---- off. Always causing trouble. I’m not copying FFXIII or anything, but I’m a commando. My trade is dealing damage, preferably in large amounts. I like to think of myself as a Lightning kind of guy, except that I’m not a badass and if I had stats, she’d have more magic. And probably more HP, which isn’t a lot. I use three swords, unlike Lightning, who only pretends to be hardcore. Number one is the Lionheart which has the weird ability to make me feel good. Not that I need much help. I’m a pretty good guy. Number two is the Blood Sword, which has the opposite effect on everyone else around me. Makes them feel bad. Number three is my Greatsword which lies on my back and is rarely used except when I don’t want someone to get back up in a great hurry. At home, I also have a Stunblade, which, uh, stuns, and a “sword of draconic might,” which is supposed to make me more powerful but doesn’t always work. I have a shield too. It has a wolf on it. I don’t use it much. Oh, I forgot the wings – somehow, one drunken night in a city in some place I can’t even remember, I managed to get a pair of wings grafted onto my back, which means I can fly. It’s a perk of the job really, though it can be a nuisance when trying to wear armour. Gets in the way a bit. It does mean I can drop down above with a big sword and break your jugular, even though jugulars cannot be broken. I think. Mine never has. And then there’s the Shadow Ring. The arcane inventors of these things are so boring, but at least I know what it does. It muffles the sounds I make, making it even easier to split your jugular. That’s after I’m feeling hopeful and have a summoned quite a large Black Knight which will use several spells on me that make me better than you, and several spells on you that make me better again. And then there’s Slothy, the, uh, Sloth Bear. He follows me round. He’s quite slow and sleeps a lot, and I often have to carry him. Which is annoying when I accidently use my Flame Weapon spell, which sets one/all of my swords alight. Then I lose concentration and make it rain. Or ice. Is ice a precipitate? Oh, one more thing I forgot to add. I’m quite insane, I think. At least, I’ve been told this. After charging at people with swords normally, so the view is a bit bias.
