Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Kilt watched warily from his alleway behind the Gateyard Apartment Complex at the swarms of mass people furrowing this way and that. Captain Taleami's ship was coming in to docks today, after three long years of hard pirate excavation in the seas.

Kilt didn't seem too proud for Captain Taleami, after all, pirates were remarkably like him. All had usually fallen from a state of nobility or calling, to what they do now, all thieve from the same ranks, and all wish to attain some higher status of their own. Indeed, to go out on a limb, pirates were in the same business as Kilt, only on water.

Kilt got from his homemade mattress, which consisted of three moth-eaten haybags thrown out by the Cannaboi inn the next street down, and surveyed the earnings he could lift. As he casually gazed left and right, in no hurry to begin, he only saw in dollar signs and gold measurements. He saw..three, four hundred pieces here, two hundred there, if possible he could even lift Captain Talaemi if he was lucky.

---
Kilt stepped into the crowd, immediately crashing into a nobleman. He wasnt quite sure that the man bought his as a mere follie, after all, there were at least a dozen pickpockets here every day, so he threw in an extra act, and lay on the ground for a few moments, just groaning.

The nobleman seemed to buy the excuse, and helped Kilt to his feet. Kilt graciously shook the mans hand, lifting the pocketbook he hid in his sleeve, and generously paid him with two of his own coins, "for the help with lifting me to my feet".

Kilt stepped away from the crowd to count his earnings, and his eyes immediately lsharpened. The main pocketbook held at least a thousand gold pieces, and the one he lifted from his sleeve held two hundred more.

At first Kilt was extactic, calling a buggy and riding to Cannaboi Inn in the same instance that he opened the wallet, but as soon as he shut the door to Tatashan Buggies Co, he chanced upon some thought.

-----
"Who keeps twelve hundred pieces in their pocketbooks...especially in a place such as the docks.." Kilt wondered, his natural suspicion of foul play turning on instantly. '"I've seen less money in a noblemans account at the bank...."

Just then the bartender saw the infamouse Kilt, and shook his hand cheerily.

"What would it be, Kilt!" The bartender drew him in close "Aye, Jimi, how did your letter to your sister go mate?"

Kilt quickly withdrew the pocketbook, which he had subconciously flipped open. It is best to hold on to money that could be a trap. It defeats the ability for it to ever....explode.

"Thank you, Garret. I wont have anything to eat today, but about that letter, see, my sis is now the Queen of that little isle I was telling you about, and she has no time for my letters, she simply replied, and, in her own words, told me that I was a fallen noble and she will not talk to me."

"Ah...well that doesn't matter. Anyways, did you here? General Thale Camas is bringing twelve hundred gold pieces to Captain Talaemi, reward from the king himself, for eradicating a band of pirates that were threatening his borderland people...lift that and you'd be a rich man my friend"

This struck Kilt like cold water. He had stolen from the king!

Kilt recovered quickly, and licked his lips.

"Say...Garret, what would you say if I told that I already DID lift that money.."

The bartenders eyes grew wide

"You have it then?"

Kilt burst open in anxiouse glee. 'Yes! Only just now, I didn't know what I did till I opened the pocketbook, I just came in and gave the old I hurt myself ploy, and it worked like a charm, I was quite sur-"

"Your in deep now, Kilt. Their going to trace that theft to you and then you could get a hanging" The bartender interrupted

"No" said Kilt, still gleefull "Ill hide in that vacant room by the apartment complex on the next street down!"

---
After Kilt had securely placed away his winnings, he left the docks, with every intention of straying from it forever. He might even go to the arena, he thought, feeling his dagger in its concealed slot in his pants....maybe he would...
