Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Glaranduil walked in the tavern on a wonderful night and the stars shined with glory. Glaranduil's silver hair looked beautiful as she standed on the stage singing a song she calls 'Light and dark'. And so she sang.

"The light leads on,
the dark leads on,
The road you take is
the road to light."

"Don't you see it,
don't you know it,
life will guide you home,
and you will hope for light."

"I hope you find peace,
I hope you find love,
I hope, I hope you find light
I hope you find darkness."

"The light leads on,
the dark leads on,
The road you take is
the road to light."

She then bowed to the people who are clapping. She walked off stage and to her table near it. She sat and ordered water then siped it and then stare into the water with silver eyes. The door was slamed open as a angry looking man walked in and when he sat down he slamed his fist on the table and started to yell at the bar tender and the bartender yelled back intill the angry man brought his sword out and stabed a man behind him. Glaranduil put a hand to her mouth then standed and her hand was on her Scimitar. She walked up behind the man then onseathed her sword and stabed the man in the back.

The man fell to the ground with a thud and Glaranduil just walked back to her table and she seathed her sword. She had done this in a swift movement that no one spoke for a long time.

Shian walked through the town looking for a decent bar. Seeing one cald the Green Gryphon, he noticed a rather angry looking man enter it and slam the door behind him. heading toward it, he pulled the cowl of his cloak low over his face, hiding his gray skin and white eyes. It would have hid his hair if he had not had it so long. As he reached the inn, he heard a ruccus inside. As he opened the door, he saw the body of the man laying on the floor with a wound in his back spilling blood every where. Shain's eyebrows rose beneath his cowl, yet he ignored it and looked for a table. Seeing a rather empty one with a silver haired woman at it, he walked over to it and addressed her. "Exuse me, but do you mind if I join you?" he asked.

As he waited for a response, he looked her up and down. She had a scimitar, one that looked identical to the wound in the man's back. Wasn't his buissnees to ask. Aftetr all, he killed people all the time. He watched and waited.

Glaranduil looked up grimly, her smile was gone and she cocked her head to the left, and it look like an animal would cock the head over a bit. She smiled and said. "Please sit I could use some compeny." She said smiling. "Am Glaranduil, a bard." She said looking at Shain calmly. She look him up and down then at the face.

He seems nice, she thought sipping her water, and a reflection of a dragon swaped over it. She looked at the new bard that steped up on stage and listened to the song he played on a harp. She let the music go through her ears and through the rest of her body.

shain nodded at her comment. A bard aye. Well, they might be good company. Sitting down, he waved away the barmaid. He wasn't perticulary thirsty. There was something about his table partner that cuaght his memory. He couldn't place it, but it sparked a memory. Leaning over the table, he said, "Hello to you Glaranduil. I'm Shain." He looked around the bar. it was fairly packed, and the man was being taken into a back rooom. Probably to be thrown into the alley. "What happened with him?" Shain asked.

As he looked back toward Glaranduil, he suddenly realized was she reminded him of. Sava. Sava was a dragon. Shain had met her in another bar, and had helped her to tear it half to shreds. Could this woman also be dragon?

"Nice to meet you Shain...... The dead man, I........ He was yelling and shouting and i stabed him." She said not looking at Shain, but then she noticed that he was looking at her like he remembered someone like her. Glaranduil looked at Shain. "I see that I remind you of someone?" She said cocking her head.

"Tell me.... what do I remind you of." She said resting her head on her hands. She was wondering what he was thinking and if he will tell her. She was smiling again and watched Shain with eyes of happyness.

Shain didn't even bat an ey at her killing the man. He was an assassin; killing happened around him all the time. Smirking, he said "I will not report you. I happen to have some experience in killing as well. it's my job." He left it at that. He wasn't going to give anything away. Leaning back, he listened to the bard on the small stage. They weren't half bad, though Shain had heard better. He sat up a bit when Glaranduil asked him who she reminded him of. The small smirk on his face grew wider at the memorys.

"A dragon. Actualy, I didn't know what she was until she tore a taver nhalf to peices because some idiot guards attacked her. And I either had to help her, or become an odd sort of pudding." He closed his eyes at the thought. She had been rather fun that night. And she had let him ride her. That had been a little odd. From what Shain knew. dragons did not ussualy permit that.

Glaranduil's smile grew wider. "A dragon, it must of been neat." She said. A dragon, if he had seen one then he probably know what I am, even if he does it doesn't matter, she thought sipping her water and the reflactoin of her dragon self sweaped over it again. She sipped her water and sat up straight. "What color was this dragon you saw?" Glaranduil asked. Please not evil, evil dragons I can't stand, they burn villages and citys for their own pleasure, she thought sipping her water again.

"HEY! Point that at somebody else!" Said a man somewhere in the tavern. Glaranduil turned around to see what was happening. A drunk looking man was pointing his sword at the bard that was on stage. The bard looked frightened, Glaranduil noted. "What the matter bard can't play." The drunk man said laughing. He must of found that funny, she thought standing up and walking to the drunk.

"Is everything alright here, gentlemen, I think people like hearing the bard play, so I think you should sit down or go?" She said in her musicale voice. The drunk turned to her and laughed. "And what are you going to do?" He said to her, then without seeing the drunk stabed Glaranduil in the stomach, she let out a gasp and walked backwerds then fell on a table nocking it down. Water and ale went everywhere and so did reflections of a dragon falling on a table.

"I beleive she was a mix. SHe was not evil that I could tell. We actualy had a plesent conversation after escapoing." He thought back to that time. Sava had been fun. She had had agood sense of humer and like to joke. He turned at the sound of yelling. Apeprently some drunk did not like the music the bard had been playing. His sword was unsheathed and pointed strait at the man. Shain's owbn hands went to his fighting knives. He might have to participate in another bar fight. Not his favorite. He liked a struggle with one of his victims instead, one that he was payed to kill. Bar fights did not pruduce good practice. Shain watched as Glaranduil walked toward the man, aking him about the bard. With absolutely no warnig, he lunged out and stabbed her. SHe fell backwards, knocking ale and drinks every where. Shain cuaght the reflection of a dragon where hers shouldhave been. Thus the resemblence, he thought. His hands change positions.

Suddenly a knife bloomed from the attackers throat. He gurgled and grabbed at it with arms that no longer held any strength. "It's not nice to just stab someone. Next time be quicker," he said in mock tones. Tahts when his friends decided to kill hsian for their loss. "Damn." he muttered. Grabbing the woman, he hawled her over to the wall and gave her a torn bit of his cloak. "Try to aply preasure to your wound. i have an obligation from someone else to you. I shall be right back." Turning around, his fighting knives appeared in his hands. He grinned his maniacle grin. Perhaps he would get a little practice in.

Glaranduil Gaged a bit. She had never be stabed in human form till now but she knew she had to stop it. She grabbed the torn peice of cloak and put it on her wound. Blood poured on her hands, as she whispered under her breath breathing heard, but trying to slow it. The wound won't be bad if I change, but then the building would break, I still have strength, I'm a dragon, I can make it, she thought. She grabbed a chair and stood. I'm not weak, she thought watching about ten men ran towards Shain. I have to help, if not I'm a failure still, she thought as scales covered her body and her neck growing longer and her head changing into a dragon, a tail forming and legs growing into dagon feet, and very soon a beautiful silver dragon stood in the tavern. the wound looked small now that she was dragon.

She roared and swinged her tail at the ten men that were running towards Shain. She hit them and they fell but more came. "Stop fighting or I'll make you stop." She roared manecingly and nobody moved forwerd but stood there looking at the great beast. "The man is in my protection, if anyong touchs him, they will see my teeth." She snarled, watching the men that just stood there. Glaranduil then whimpered in pain because of the wound. She almost fell but tryed to hold herself still. The wound was small but she used up all her energy, and could hardly move without hurting. I am not weak, she thought.

Shian began to twirl his fighting knives in the motion of death. There were about sixteen men in all. He could use his shadow dagger if things got real ugly. He got ready as ten men began to approach. He was ready to attack when they stopped, staring in fear behind him. Turnig around, he saw that Garanduil was now a large solver dragon, roaring her threat at the men. It would have worked if she had not whimmpered and wobbled slightly. He heard the men chuckling beghind him. Shain decided that it was time to show these men who they were dealing with. Turning aorund slowly, he said in poisonous tones, "Have you heard of the drow? Do you know what happens when you mixe a drow with a moon elf?" Grinning evily at their terrifiesd faces, he added the last in a voice that could have dropped a dwarf in full battle rage dead. "Death. Me," he whisspered. The then he began to dance.

To any onlooker, Shain was truly dancing within the hord of men, his knives spraying blood around the bar at amazing speed. He never was cut, nor wounded in any way. He slashed the throast from one amn, only to turn and gut another man, then, just as quickly, slipping a knife into the hollow at the back of yet anothers kneck. As he went through the men, blades flashing faster and faster, he reached into his inner powers. Suddenly his blades burst into farie fyre, a heatless blueish/violet flame. The men finaly lost it. The five remaining that could move beyond a twitch screamed in terror and ran. Shain stopped his action, hold his pose, a knife in the stomach of a mna whos eyes were glazing over. He quickly withdrew it. Throughing his blades down, he turned to Garanduil. He hoped he had not taken too long.
