| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

So my first steps into an unknown land begin here. I have spent a few nights exploring the local wilderness, not knowing anything about this world. Oddly, it seems similar to my own. Except that there are no great manors here and that the towns seem not to be as advanced as our own were. Was I sent back in time? I doubt it. I recognised the ancient ruins of Vertin Manor which had been taken down 126 years ago when I chanced upon it during one of my missions. To steal a Phoenix Ruby, if I remember right. I wonder what happened to that ruby afterwards...but still, the amount of money I made out of that bought me a place to rest for life. I can't complain. Actually, I can. I can't go back because I don't know how to. And I haven't seen a local around here in the three nights I have spent out here. In fact, I've only just about passed some rabbit for food. I've been living off herbs and fruit for a while, but they taste different here somehow. I hope - no, pray - that they are not poisoned. I have had no such illness with them yet, but you never know with these things. They are likely to go on testing my knowledge of alchemy. Being in the rough for so long teaches you these things naturally, but you have to get to know the materials to make the food and I have not had miuch chance to do that yet. Either way, there is no sign of my brother. There have been a few tracks that have passed here but the footprints are overlayered and untrackable. And all the top layer ones are of shoes that either seem strange to me or they just don't fit Igor's shoe size. I am sent into the water without knowledge of how to swim here. And I have only Zaigen to thank for that. Cursed mage...what was he thinking, sending a madman into this world?! He must be off his head! I am certain that I will find him again - my brother, that is - and when I do I will calm him down. Then I'll beat the living snot out of Zaigen for sending me to this place in the first. That is...if I ever get back... |

Why do I always attract the annoying and useless? it tends to be a common attribute of my life, I find someone I could talk to then I end up getting peeved off with them because they don't know when tro shut up and do as I say. That little brat didn't even take kindly to me giving her the slipper back. Ungrateful things, children...glad I have none of my own. I'd probably throttle them before they reach the age of 10. Sheesh...glad to get away form her anyway. Still, there's no news of my brother. All I've caught hold of was an annoying girl, and that I let go of before she met the sharp end of my sword. The ruins I was brought to didn't seem to be the cause of his attacks, for it seemed ancient and worn. The only way he could have is if time here goes much faster than back home, but that's exceedingly unlikely. But still, I can't find him. Right now, though, I'm on some beach. It seems the sounds of a city is not too far away and I can just about spy something in the distance under the moonlight, but other than that I only hear something beyond the bordering forests and the sounds of the sea. He may have ventured on the ships around here, but then he could probably still be on land. I want to find him now more than anything. But his elusive path is not even visible any more...as if it never existed. |
