Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

If you where in bloodseal tavern you would hear something with big wings and fly Down and then screaming and tearing people a part and after awhile there was
Silance but then the door burst open and a tall man was standing in the doorway
He had a bloodthirsty look on his face and he walked up to the bar and orders a ale
And sips it. he was still standing while an othere man sort and fat with brown hair
Came over with he's hand on he's sword when he came up to valk and he said
" We don't like your kind here so you better leave now or will make you leave."
And with that five more people stand up with there swords out. valk turned around
And a evil grin played across he's face and said " you make me leave and i'll see
To it that you'll never see light again." valks hand creeps toward he's sword.

A man was coming up behind valk and the tip of he's sword at valks back but
Before the man could stab valk. valk turns around he's sword was out and valk
Stabs the man and the man fell to the floor with a little thud. at that same moment
More people attacks valk. valk turns around and killed two more people and then
More and more in siconds all five man where dead and there little man started
Running toward the door but before he could valk stabs him in the back.

After awhile valk laughed a evil laugh. he wiped the blood on one of the dead people
From he's sword and walked to where he's ale was and takes a drink of it and stands
There as if waiting for something.

There was no doubt that the entire tavern was terrified after the sounds of slaughter from outside. They all trebled and groaned at the noises eminating from the streets. That is, all but one. He was sitting in a dark corner, not far from the bar, whith his black cloak drawn tightly about his and hood pulled over his red orbs of eyes. Before him, set on a rickety table, was a large tankard of ale, acompianied by a joint of some kind of meat, missing a few chunks.

When the door open, the nervous mutterings of the tavern immediately stopped, replaced by a nervous kind of silence. The hooded Stirling looked up, his red orbs glowing from deep within, staring at the stranger, taking him in like he did all new people.

Evil. Had a great deal to do witht he slaughterings outside. I can sense it. came the voice of Nota’man, the Pit Fiend fused to the Half-Drow's soul. The Thief had almost dipped his head back down, when the portly little man stood up and took a verbal shot at the Stranger. He wasn't so surprised when him and the five others were despatched of.

Pulling up his mug, he drank some of the liquid through half a smirk. He enjoyed the pain of others, and while it was amusing when he did it, watching another perform the acts was just as good. Maybe he would get to know this stranger a little better.

Konahomaru heard the blood curdling screams of people being killed not far from where he was on patrol this particular night. Without hesitation he ran straight towards the source of the noise. The Bloodseal Tavern. Ironic, considering that he saw a winged creature enter the tavern covered in blood, along with the blood dripping off of the roof itself.

This could not be tolerated. Kona got to the door, and then heard more killings inside. One...two...three...four...five people fell to the ground with sickening thuds. Absolutely disgusting. Then something else. Konahomaru's Detect Evil sense went almost insane, and he could feel the intense evil inside. It was more than just a murderer. A familiar presence, but much more evil this time around.

Kona unsheathed his Lightning Blade, and made sure his daggers were ready at their wrist sheaths. "Wham! Crack!" Kona kicked opened the door and rushed in. He saw the murderer standing there, wiping blood off himself and standing as if waiting for more.

If it werent for that they were inside of a building, Kona would have struck him with lightning by now. Righteous fury filled him for the lost lives. There would be no mercy. But then something stopped him. There was a greater evil here. Somewhere in the tavern. Kona's eyes darted around, searching for it. He drew his katana as well, and it gleamed alonside the Lightning Blade. No doubt whatever it was realized what was going on by now. "Show yourself demon!" he said.

Valk turned around as fast as he could when he heard someone say "Show yourself Demon!" and a bloodthirsty smile played across his face. he noticed that there was Another person with red eyes but Valk was looking at the new person and saw the Lightning Blade. Valk put his hand on his sword. he taked a sip of ale and then sat the Mug down.

Valk walked over to the new person. he had a little nicer look on his face " hello and
Who are you. your makeing so much noise." he said with a evil smile. Valk wonders
What demon. Valk has been known as a demon but he knows its not him. his a dragon
Not a demon.

A few people get up and leave incase there a battle. Valk glance at the people leaveing
And he had a smile of murder and in his eyes was fury of a dragon. he looked at the New person " do you like bursting in taverns like this." he said smiling.

Kona sized up the man in front of him. He was clearly overconfident. But he smiled at the fact that everyone in the bar was leaving. And if he knew that one person as well as he thought, then that person wouldnt leave.

"Its my job to burst into taverns and yell at people who murder cold-blooded." said Kona, almost chiding away the man. "Isnt that right? Old freind? Come now! I know your in here! I can feel you!" Kona paused for a moment, then brought his swords up, just in case the other man got to confident.

"Remember that night in the library? Im sure you do. I found out who you really are. Stirling, and the demon you now have with you is stronger. Or perhaps it is a different one? I cannot tell entirely." Kona paused for a little and concentrated on the evil. It was too clouded in here to tell exactly where he was.

"Dont make me draw you out like the worm you are!" said Kona, as he started to power up the Judgement spell. That would definetly draw him out.

Valk laughed his evil laugh. " you humans are odd indeed." when Konahomaru
Lefted his weapons Valk steped back " are you always this freindly." Valk said with
A evil grin " I have met nicer people but they don't last long." Valk griped his sword
Harder. Valk was watching Konahomaru while he was looking for the demon.

" Suppose his the one with red eyes." Valk mumbled to himself " am sure calling
Him a worm will not help." Valk said to Konahomaru " ah... I should be wondering
Why am talking to him." Valk was wondering why he was talking to the human
I suppose I will not know for awhile like always Valk thought.

When Konahomare had entered, taking down the door with him, Stirling instinctivly tensed up. And old enemy, from his life before the Infusement. His red orbs narowed into violent slits, glaring from the darkness of the cloak at the guard. He had caused the Thief much pain and suffering that night. It would never be forgoten.

However, the evil one was blocking the guard. It was an incredable stroke of luck. Ego and confidence forced a fight. Stirling would have liked to use this time to gloat, but decided instead to draw his bow while Kona was distracted. Hidden by the darkness and his cloak, he notched an arrow.

This fool must die. It was combined voice of his own and Nota’man that filled his head. He would wait until the guard was within a clear shot of him...

Al thoughts were pushed from his mind as intese, throbbing pains filled his chest and limbs. His muscles tensed at the sharpness of it. The sense of goodness was so sickenly thick with the pain that he kneew it to be Konahamaru's doing.

Standing up, his cloak fell back and his hood dropped from covering his face and head. The leathery reddish-gray skin of Stirling was revealed, along with his black hair, sharp white teeth and the pinkish scar running over his right eye. A gutteral growl left his throat as he drew the shortbow back taught.

"I'm here, Konahamaru, come meet you doom." He let the arrow fly.

Kona almost laughed at the strange man in front of him. Then he heard a low growl and the stretch of a bow string coming from the corner of the tavern. Next was the slight whistle of the approaching arrow. Konahomaru snapped his head in the direction, and saw the arrow speeding at him. In reaction he raised his Sheild of Faith, but the arrow cleared just in time. It found flesh in his shoulder, with a small "Shuck".

Pain filled his shoulder, but he had felt worse. Being struck by lightning more than once can do that. Blood started to trickle down his coat, but also down his back. The arrow almost exited his shoulder as well, which meant that Stirling was closer than he thought. Kona quickly unsheathed a dagger and pryed out the arrow. With another "shuck", and spray of blood the arrow popped out the back of his shoulder.

Kona stomped on it with his foot and crushed it. Saying nothing, he sheathed his dagger and then raised his palm. Light. A beam of light emenated from his hand, and got wider. There. He saw Stirling in the corner with his bow still raised. Konahomaru's Shield of Faith was still raised, so he did not hesitate to charge at Stirling.

Kona ran swiftly, jumping off a chair and over a table, bounding over a puddle of beer and right up to him. He raised his Lightning Blade, now cackling with electricity. The Shock Enchantment had been activated, making the blade even more eager to taste blood. "Die! You vile thing! I could have let you go! Forgiven you! But now youve damned yourself! That demon will be your fall Stirling!"

With glee did Stirling watch as his opponent get hit in the shoulder with the arrow. Had he not received the pain from the spell, it would have been lethal. He almost notched another projectile, but the vile prescence of goodness had formed a shield around Konahamaru. It was the same shield which had knocked him off his feat, many moons ago, he remembered with a slight wince.

The Half-Drow sheathed his bow on his back once more, and was about to draw his blade when the guard caused a reat, white light. It burnt into his flesh like a brnd, causing another gutteral growl to issue through his throat. It deadened a little, making light enough to see but not enough to damage his soul.

It with a speed all too familiar to Stirling that Kona crossed the room, delivering great dexterity to leap over the scattered tables and chairs. His acursed Lighting Blade was drawn, isuing craclings of energy from the metal. The Thief resumed drawing his scimitar, raising it upwards to defend against the suddering blow.

His red orbs narrowed into firery slits, staring over his leathery arm and under his blade into the face of Konahamaru, his body and mind pulseing with evil and loathing.

"I have chosen my path,as you have chosen yours. To what end it shall bring me to, the demon inside of me brings power. A power that you could only imagine!"

Konahomaru's Lightning Blade found purchase against Stirlings scimitar. The two ground against each other as furiously as Kona and Stirling themselves, throwing off metal sparks, and electrical sparks from Kona's own. What struck Kona as peculiar was that the electric current was not reaching him. Perhaps he had a leather hilt cover on his sword.

"I need not imagine it! For as you are part demon, I am part celestial! You were foolish to think that this would help you!" Kona shouted back at him, the blue halo's now appearing in his eyes, sparks from his aura were now spilling everywhere from his body. Indeed Stirling was stronger, possibly even stronger than Kona was. If that was the case, Kona would have to beat him with his speed.

Yes, he was slightly stronger now. Stirling was beginning to gain on him, and Kona could feel the current being wasted inside the hilt of his scimitar. A different strategy would be needed indeed. Kona leaned against the blade so that he would not need both hands. Quickly, he drew his Masterwork dagger from his wrist sheath and used Bless Weapon, and then pressed it against Stirlings neck. The same trick Veronna had used on him before.

"Surrender or face your death Stirling." he said, now confident he had him. If he would not cower under the blade, he would certainly waver from the holy might inside the dagger.

It came as no surprise that Kona was part celestial. He had realised the fact when he had been Infused. A holy Aura hung around him like stench on a muel. And now it was strengthening. His heratige of the upper plains was begining to show. Stirling's insides burned like fire, but his skin was crawling as if by a chill.

The Half-Drow knew that he was winning. The effects of Shock were stopped by the hard leather grip on his blade, and the Infusement had made him strong enough to give the guard more then a match in strength. However, when Konahamaru pushed the newly blessed dagger against his throat, his blood both boiled and chilled in an instant. But he wasn't going to let his opponent see his fear of the weapon.

"I shall neither surender nor fall to your blades, son of angel spawn!" Throwing his weight against his blade, he pushed Kona away while pushing his had and throat back, away from any strike of the dagger. A few steps back was all Stirling needed in the form of space for his next trick.

Holding his left hand out and downwards, fingers poised as if gribbing the handle of something, the Half-Drow quickly recalled a spell. Fire Lash. Flamiong tendrils wound themselves down from Stirling's left arm, shifting through his hand and stopping at the end. They had formed themselves as a whip with many thongs on the end.

Raising his arm, he gave a test whip out to the side first, chuckling at the loud crack that issued forth. Turning his gaze back to Konahamaru, he laughed again and called out some mockery.

"So, celestial, you can defend yourself well form the shadow, but can you defend from the flame?" Stirling raised his arm again, and struck forth at Kona with his flaming whip.

Kona stumbled back a ways and landed on a table. He hit his head on a beer mug thier and his vision became dizzy. "Ugh." he said, reeling from where the mug had found the weak part of his neck. Then he hear Stirlings mocking, and anger soon cleared his vision and found way to drown the pain.

Just then he heard a hissing sound coming straight for him, and rolled off of the table. a loud crack issued forth, and the table next to him burst into flames. Kona quickly got to his feat and sheathed his Lightning Blade on his back. It would do him no use right now, and only serve to slow him down. Kona looked around for something he could use to shield himself from Stirlings fire whip.

A solid chair was next to him, and it would do. Konahomaru lifted the chair in fron of his body, it covering most of his torso and head. Only his legs were vulnerable, but Kona made sure that wouldnt be exploited by backing away quickly.

If Stirling pursued him that would be the perfect opprotunity to... hand the chair over to him.

(Just a note, Kona is going to get a infusement soon. This RP will take place before that time, and any powers from the infusement will not apply. )

((I also plan on allowing Kona to lose this battle, so I give Stirling permission to wound Kona severly, but no fataly.))

Again Stirling lashed out, striking a hit onto the chair. For a second, fire licked the woods, then died down. The wood was solid enough to take the blow, and the timbers were treated with something that prevented a flame to catch. The Laf-Drow cursed Kona's good luck to choose such a defence.

Never the less, he struck out again, and again, weakening the wood but not yet destroying it. When the magic of the lash enevitably failed, he needed the guard to have as little defence as possible.

Finally, the flaming whip flickered, and died, ash falling from where it used to crackle. Now was the time to attack Konahamaru himself. To assualt him, and bloody him. To kill the celestial and repay him fo the pain caused to the Half-Drow.

Reaching into his belt, he removed the long dagger from where it was nestled. Gripping it tightly in his left hand, the scimitar in his right, Stirling let out another gutteral growl.

"Face the beast which you have created, Konahamaru! Meet the whirlwind that you have sown!" Filled with animalistic rage at his enemy, the Half-Drow charged, smoothly letting Nota’man take over his skills and body for combat.

Kona smiled at his luck Who would have thought that the chair he picked had been fireproofed? He smiled at Stirling and almost chuckled when he let out anothr growl and started to charge at him. What a fool! Konahomaru had range on him!

"Fine. Catch" Kona said, as he quickly lifted up the chair and then hurled it at Stirling. Unless he really knew how to tap into the powers of that demon within him, it would be almost impossible for him not to be effected by the 50 pound solid oak chair.

"It seems I overestimated your ability Stirling. Im dissapointed!" said Kona chuckling while the chair was in mid-air careening stratight for Stirlings chest. "Have a seat." he said, laughing some more. Uramo was taking over his thoughts now, and it felt good. He alowed it this time, and felt the giddiness fill him.

Time seemed slow to Stirling. Had the medical science of Imythess been advanced by several hundred years, he would have recognised this as the effects of adrenaline forced through his veins. The chair was hurtling towards him, thrown with great strength by Konahamaru.

The Half-Drow didn't even have to think. His right arm moved almost as if by itself, raising the scimitar to strike. Witht he chair less then two meters from his body, the blade fell in a defencive attack, hitting the seat of the chair top side.

The good steel embedded itself into the thick oak with a dull thud. The attacks from the lash had weakened the wood to allow such a penatration. Throwing his body weight downwards, he caused the chair to crash intop the floor, breaking off the legs and snapping the backrest, leaving only the seat with his blade deep in the wood.

It was quick work of removing the scimitar, levering it out with his foot on the seat. A grin crossed Stirling's hidious face. Not only did Konahamaru's attack on his fail, the guard was closer then ever, and standing without a weapon in his hands. An overconfidence that celestials often brag that they lack.

Once again, the Half-Drow moved foreward, quickly, but no longer dashing. There would be a little time for Kona to draw a weapon, perhaps, but barely enough to defend himself well.

The dagger was held downwards in his hand, ready for stabbing, and the blade was poised forward, ready to deliver a quick strike. Now, Kona would die by his hand.
