Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The scene was a lovely winter evening as fisherman were just returning from their days work. Nothing of any interest had happened here today until a large ship came into view on the horizon. It was heading for the docks and a few guards were eyeing it and questioning its cause. The ship didn't seem detered in the slightest as a crowd gathed as it slammed into the hard stone wall and came to a hault. A huge oak plank was lowered from the ship to the pere. The crowd closed in to see what was happening but suddenly screams erupted from the crowd as they began to run away as one lone orc stepped off the boat snarling.

He began to walk towards the crowd as the plank quickly withdrew onto the boat and hundreds of orcs lined the edge of the ship and began to shout and roar at the orc on the pere. Soon laughter filled the ship as the boat began move away from the pere and set sail again. The orc on the land began to roar at the boat.

"Oi you maggits, get ya selves back 'ere!" Shouted the orc as he ran along the pere trying to stop the boat from leaving.

But it was no good the boat had left the docks and was now setting sail again as the sickening laughter of the orcs on board could be heard still. The now lonesome orc stared on in disgust and soon slammed his tattered club onto the decks smashing one in half and shattering splinters everywhere. The orc turned around and glared at the crowd, his eyes fell into a deep throbbing red colour as he charged at them roaring holding his club high above his head. The crowd disperced and everyone began to run and scream once again.

"You pathetic little hummies!" The orc cried as he swung his club smashing various people and knocking them flying.

The orc had arrived......

"play nice! and not all humans are pathetic... ok most but its still no reason to smash them!" Vestein had, had a tireing day and now some orc had started to flail about... why did he always have to step in to help people. Still atleast orcs were generaly the same strench as him... one less problem to worrie about.

Konahomaru was waiting at a seperate pier to escort some valuable resources that would be used in the defense of Taras, should the war reach the city. It was his current job to make sure no spy's or sabotuers managed to ruin the supply line. Then Kona saw the boat full of orcs make landing, and he kept a sharp eye on it.

After some time, the boat took off again, and there was quite a fuss on that particular dock. It pidques his curiousity, but Kona remained at his respective position. Until he saw the orc bashing peoples heads in and screaming his head off.

"It might be a distraction, keep a keen eye about you!" Kona said to the dock hands, and they nodded as they shuffled around carrying boxes and bags. Two of them opened a crate and pulled out shortswords and bucklers for themselves to gaurd the dock until Kona returned.

Kona ran off of his particular pier and down the dock to the next one. Pushing people away that were fleeing slowed him down considerably, and when he got there he saw the a different man had already approached the orc.

Nevertheless, the orc still could be dangerous to that particular man. Kona drew his katana and got closer, a few feet away from the man that was in front of the orc. "What is the problem here? I cant be having you bashing humans heads in orc! I suggest you stop before im forced to help you! Explain yourself!" Konahomaru shouted.

Vestein turned his head quickly to take int the new comer... at least now he wouldnt have to do all the work him self. He began to draw out his barbarian heavy blade then relised that it would do more harm than good with the fleeing people and sheathed it. Insted he swong down his heavy cross bow and drew it up to cheast hight aiming it at the orc's neck, he pulled the trigger slightly then stoped and waited for some one ells to make the first move.

The orc continued his violent rampage which still seemingly had no meaning. He hadn't noticed the two brave citizens of this new land confront him. As woman, children and the surposed guards ran for their lives the Orc caught eye of the two men as they were not moving or running. His thick green lips grinned as he stopped and approached the two men, he was clearly alot taller and bigger but that didn't seem to bother them at all.

"What da yous two want?" He spat at them with a harsh tone.

He had lowered his club so that the tip was pressed against the ground. His free hand however was clenched in a tight fist and his knuckles buldging inside the skin as if trying to escape. He frowned at the two men and soon let out a somewhat quiet roar, it was more of a growl and sigh though. A horrible stench of rotting meat and dead curdled blood could be smelt on his breath as it reached the two mens nostrils.

Suddenly one of the strangers rose a weapon and aimed it at his neck, this didn't please the orc as he roared in disgust and retaliated by raising his club.

"Do you two hones'ly fink ya stop me?" He grunted as he made himself look bigger trying to intimidate them.

"Size isnt always the best way to intimidate some one you know, you've got to show 'em somthing to scare them." Vestein's eyes flashed in the light. The stench the orc gave off reminded him of passed times... waking up in a ditch with the taste of some ones blood mingling with your own. Dark days and time to make them right.

The orcs stench was cloging up his normaly very sensitive nose it made his hairs stand on edge, his teeth lenghted slightly and his focus sliped then returned. His muscles strained as he faught to control the beast... after all it would cause more panic than the orc.

Konahomaru simply drew his Lightning Blade as well, and smirked at the orc. "Your scare tactics are lost on me orc. I have smelled far worse than you. Perhaps i shall help you take a bath in the port?" Kona said, slyly. His evil side showing through.

"Enough waiting!" he shouted, and raised his Lightning Blade and made a swipe at the orc. Kona smiled at his dumbfounded look in reaction. Just then a massive bolt of lighting struck right behind the orc, shattering the pier into pieces behind him and catching the end on fire.

Kona wasted no time making his next move, and used Bless Weapon on both of his swords and then started walking towards the orc. Casually, Kona's perfected trap. Many fighters thought that an oppononent with no stance was weak, when in fact, it was a deceieving manuver. Kona was more than fast enough to react to this behemoth.

"Its your turn orc. Shall I just slay you now, or shall I allow my freind here to have a go at you as well." Kona said. He realized the evil inside showing forth, and was afraid of its consequences. Any good person would have allowed the orc a chance to explain itself, but Kona was blood thirsty. Something he liked, but also strangely feared.

Vestein waited for a clear shot after the lighning bolt sruck... He waited for the orc's neck line to become clear then he fired. he felt the satisfiying kick of the crossbow impacking on his shoulder, as the bolt sailed towards the orcs neck.

Not waisting a second he drew his heavy blade and prepared to flank the orc.

The orc smiled at the chance to fight. It was in his blood to do so. The lightning of the sword struck behind him and the shockwave smashed into his back. It seemingly did nothing to him, however it did, deep inside the orc his anger was building. It had been awhile since he had unleashed his full anger. Next came the second slash from the same person but this time is didn't even cut the air around his face. The orc roared but before he could take action he caught site of the other enemy pulling the trigger on his crossbow.

With seconds before death his only thought was he had to block it, he did the thing anyone would do and that was cover himself with his arms. Being as he was an orc his flesh was much stroger than anything else thus causing the bolt to get lodged in the out section of his skin. The bolt hadn't caused any majour damage. The orc roared again this time is shook the piere and caused the once calm water to tremble aswel. He gripped the bolt and snapped in out of his arm splattering a small amount of blood onto the wooden decks below.

"OOOO...I've waited a long time to do dis!" Grunted the orc as he raised his club.

He took a swing and the one wielding a crossbow, but because of his slowness his opponent simply dodged it with ease. Realising that one was to fast he took a surprise swing for the other one but yet again it was dodged. This didn't please the orc and he let it be known by tensing every muscle in his body, now even that would have some negative effect on his two opponents due to the shere size of him now. There was no way they couldn't have a small sence of doubt. While doing this he let out a blood curdling scream as he smashed his club between the two men breaking the ground in two knocking them off balance.

The orcs huge body was certainly a sight to behold, and when he took that bolt in the arm and then pulled it out again with a sickening 'shuck', Kona stopped for a second to regard it. Certainly one of natures heartier creatures. However, all sympathy for the orc was lost the minute he took a swing at him, and hit the pier.

Kona jumped to avoid the club, and when he landed the shaking pier cuased him to start to loose his footing. Kona supported himself with his katana, and crouhed so as not to fall over. This simply could not be tolerated, and would have to stop now. If the orc continued to smash on the pier they would all fall in the harbor.

Kona knew that he could swim, but he wasnt surea bout the other man and he knew that the orc would sink like a stone. That owuld be unacceptable, Kona wanted to take in this orc for questioning regarding the whereabouts of that ship.

A distraction owuld suffice. Konahomaru took a piece of meat out of his backpack. It had been there for about a day, he had been to busy to get rid of it. Kona used Light on it, and the meat started to glow with a soft light, making it seem like the most heavenly piece of meat that ever existed.

Konahomaru raised the meat and waved it in front og the orc. "How does a snack sound to my large freind?" he asked, waving it and holding it over the edge of the pier, as if to drop it at any second. "Come with me to the shore or I will drop it into the sea."

Whatever anger was coming from the orc was no longer there as the stench of that freshly cooked meat caught his nostrils. His club slid out of his hand and landed on his foot, it would take awhile for the pain to kick in as he was more focused on the meat. All thoughts of the battle were completely flushed from his mind, instead a sick kind of day dream of him eating the meat caused through instead. He sniffed the air intently not noticing the man hanging it over the edge.

"God, I aint eaten in days." Grunted the orc in a somewhat soft tone.

When he opened his eyes he was taken by surprise to see the man hanging it over the edge, he ran with his arms out stretched crying in dismay as he jumped and lundged for the meat. He was so hungry he'd eat anything, but then again being a orc he usealy does that. He kept on running but suddenly had to try to stop as he was drawing nearer to the edge and also being an orc he had this strange fear of washing?

"Please mate....Don't drop it in da wa'er" Begged the orc.

Konahomaru smiled even bigger. Now he was getting somewhere. "You can have the meat, but first lets talk a little. Whats your name, and why are you so upset to begin with?" Kona asked. Some situations could be solved without violence, that and Kona wanted to save his energy should the war come to Taras.

Then he noticed the man behind him also had a peice of meat dangling over the edge. What a fool! One was enough! Now the orc would probably become confused, and just get angry again ruining the whole plan. The way humans thought sometimes just boggled Kona.

Then again, he was part human himself, and sometimes couldnt understand his own actions. That must be how the gods feel sometimes. They just cant figure out why humans act the way they do. Or, maybe they understand more than we actually know. Too much daydreaming, back to the task at hand.
