| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

There was a deep thud to the planks of wood as Salazar lept from the ship. He crouched down and looked both ways of the dock. It was dark and the moon was up half way, not providing very much light. The sea air was sickeing to Salazar now that he had been on a ship for a number of days. He crept back into the shadows as some of the crew walked by. Salazar grunted to himself when the sailors were out of earshot. He had a grudge against humans. Humans are the reason Salazar fled to the new world in the first place. He did not know where he was and looked up to the sky. The stars were not the same as it was back at his home. The distance traveled was great. Salazar stood up to a towering nine feet tall. He lifted his chin in the air to smell for any one near by. The coast was clear. He began for the city. Walking through the shadows did little to hide his presence. His large feet were not silent against the wooden planks of the dock. When the corner turned, Salazar came to a hault as he saw a small crew walking his way. He crouched down to mask his presence in the shadows but it was too late. "Hey there! What are you doing here? Come out of the shadows, you can't hide from us." Salazar slowly stood, coming out of the shadows. The men took a step back in unison. Swords were drawn and they made their way toward the big blue beast. Salazar held his hand out to hault them and said, "Dose swords be no use for me. Put dem aweh and turn around. If you want to live den you will do as I seh." Salazar's voice had a stinging hiss to it. The men again backed up in unison. One of the men grunted and struck the air. The men behind did the same. They all charged to the big blue beast. Salazar gripped his staff and crouched down into a battle stance. |

As the men ran toward the big blue giant, a fire ball flew past and hit one of the men. He flew back as the fire ball ignited into an explosion when it came into contact with his chest. The others stopped and looked with wide eyes at what was coming next. They all turned and began to run away in fear only to see a fire elemental behind them. The fiery beast looked down on them and sounded a roar, sending shivers up their spines. One of the crew ran to the left and tried to get away but was caught by the with a whip of flame. He screamed in agony as the heat ripped his flesh open. He lifted into the air and tossed to the fire elemental. The other two sailors stood in utter fear as they watched the sorcereress walk toward them. "You know you should really treat everyone with respect. Now you will pay for what you should not have intended to do." Jasmine waved her hand to the sailor in the right and he burst into flames. The scream that came from his mouth was bone chilling. As he ran in circles of burning pain, Jasmine stepped to the last sailor and sent her katana through his chest. Bone popped and the air behind was misted with red. She pulled her blade out and let him drop ti the ground. Without turning to the big blue giant, she said, "You should thank me. I know you do not like us humans but I think I am one you can trust. I am Jasmine of Laurudy. Call me Jasmine." |

Salazar stood behind the woman tno knowing what to do. He looked over to the fire elemental and smirked. He was afraid of what she was going to do next. She was a human and she knew that Salazar disliked humans. Maybe that angered her. Salazar took a stepp back out of fear. He looked at surroundings for a way to escape what terrible fate might come to him. He set his focus on the woman and said, "Your little tricks of magic do scare me. Now let me be. I do nutting to you woman. Let me be on me weh." Salazar set his staff on the ground and turned around. He stood up from his crouch began to walk away. After a few staps he still did not trust that the woman would let him go so easily. He turned around again and said, "You seh dat I could trust you. So prove it to me woman and let me go. Please do not harm me. I do nutting to you. But before I go, I seh tank you. Tank you for sehving me life." He turned and began on his way toward the city. |

Jasmine shot a fire bolt just passed his head. The fierce ball of fire wizzed passed with undying fury. Jasmine flicked her katana to let the blood fall down to the ground. She looked back to her fire elemental and in one swift move the fiery beast lept up into the air and flew over the ibg blue beast. It landed a goodly distance in front of the troll with a thud to the dock. Jasmine walked over to the troll and unleashed her whip of fire. Her eyes had a burning hatred in them. She hated it when people told her what to do. Her eyes were aflame with anger. "You did not even introduce yourself." With stinging hiss to her voice and added, "Do not even act like you can put up a fight with me. You do not even know the power I hold." With her fire whip in one hand and the bloddy katana in other, she walked up to the troll and held the point of her katana to his right right shoulder. "Now tell me you name, troll." |
