Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

The sun was only softly peeking over the horizon and already the sounds of the townspeople readying could be heard. The sound of wheels on cobblestone and horse hooves clopping was the most common, but among them were the calls of many people selling their wares. Time did not seem like it mattered in the town of Kellen. The vendors worked long into the night and came back early in the morning but yet they still had that cheery, "nothing can go wrong" attitude. The sight brought a smile to Meera's face as she rode along the road leading towards the happy town. It had been a while since she had been here yet it seemed like nothing had changed. The small town had been a second home to Meera since she first travelled to Imythess. Her first job here had in fact been at the stables that lie not too far to the south of the actual town. It brought back many memories of friendships and good times that she had forgotten about. Finally entering the streets, Meera rested a hand on her fire horse, Enzo's neck comfortingly. Walking back into these streets was like walking back into a time capsule. It seemed perfectly preserved from when Meera left. Looking down at the people who already bustled around finding and selling goods, she saw some faces she recognized. With her eyes twinkling happily, she smiled and waved at them as they called out, "good to see you again Meera." She had gotten many of her supplies from them before she went out to do other things.

Finally arriving at a feild where she could let Enzo roam, she hopped off. Giving him a reassuring pat, she paid the feild keeper a few gold and let Enzo into the paddock. Quickly, she brushed off some of the dirt that had gotten onto her pants then walked back into the marketplace. She carefully picked her way through the crowd towards the baker's stand. Picking out a small loaf, she paid him some money and turned around to go to other stands. Spotting the fruit one, she headed towards it. Only focusing on her goal, she accidentally bumped into someone. Turning around, she gave the person an apologetic smile and said "I'm so sorry. I was not watching where I was going." Seeing that it was the innkeeper's wife, an old friend, her concerned smile turned to that of a loving one. She laughed and gave her a hug. "It is good to see you again."

The woman nodded and said "I would love to talk, but I must be going. The inn has become increasingly busy and we are on our last supplies." Now it was the woman's turn to smile apologetically as she inched away.

Meera smiled back at her and said "That's allright. I'll see you some other time then." The woman nodded meaninfully then went back on her way. As Meera turned to attend to her own business, she ran smack into a man. Stumbling backwards, she repeated the act that she had just gone to. She said "I'm so sorry, I did not see where I was going. Please forgive me," while smiling apologetically. The bread had come loose from bumping into him, so she switched it to the other arm. Looking back up at him, she gave him a half smile, hoping that he could forgive her.

The Glare of the sun shone in the sun of every sailor in The Ancient Egyption Boat Jrail stole from a Museum a while back. All the sailors paddled the boat forward as Jrail sat in his chair under the cover of white sheets and covered in Shade. He watched as he sailed through the flooded ruins of New York the Islands of broken glass buildings. The City was flooded with the still Holy Waters Of Immortality. and there were sometimes glasscloths((Glasscloths are a large amount of glass floating on the surface of the water)) on the water which Jrail found useful in torching in for later scavenging dives.

Suddenly, The pull forward by the water became unusually powerful and the sailors suddenly started to try and turn the boat around but it was no use. Jrail then stood up and walked toward the front of the boat, then he saw it. A Whirlpool!!!! Jrail had only heard about them from pirates. He knew panicing wouldn't help so he just waited intil his apparent Death.

The Boat entered the whirlpool and was spinned around and around like the water in a bath when it turns into a whirlpool and goes down the faucet. He saw the opening. It was like the mouth of a very terrible beast. and that mouth then swallowed him into the water and then everything was black.

He woke up on top of a cottage and it seemed to be early in the morning. He then looked around. It looked like the cottages you would see in old England but he knew he couldn't be there because how could he have ended up in London from New York instantly? He looked up at the sky and saw stars he never saw before. He stood up and saw a well down on the ground. How am I going to get down? Wait! I could jump down and grab a lantern and jump from there! He then did that to see a couple of lights were on in the cottages. He then heard his stomaches rumbling in this new place so he decided to look around and see if there is a marketplace with food.

He eventually found one but the vendors were already getting ready because the sun was peaking into this town. He saw a stall and the Vendor was heading to a cottage to appearently get supplies. Jrail was even hungrier then before. He saw small basket of berries that could definitely feed his hunger so he took his staff out of his cloak and stabbed it into the basket. As he pulled in his staff along with the basket of berries. He then felt someone bump into him. He turned around to see a women and she apologised, "Thats okay but I need to get out of here!" said Jrail as he saw the Vendor coming back with more fruit. "Stop, Thief!!!"said the Vendor and Jrail started running the way he came and ran into an alley where he easily lost the vendor.

Meera's face turned from that of a relieved one to a puzzled one as the man explained his hurry. She noted the berries on his staff and the approaching vendor. Suddenly everything clicked into place. Not thinking quickly enough to catch him before he leapt away, she grabbed at the empty air. Not taking as much time to start into a run, she chased him into the alley. Meera knew the vendor did not know the streets as well as her, nor did he have her same agility. She now felt it as her duty to track down this theif and make him pay the vendor for the berries that he had stolen. Theives were one group of people that she had absolutely no tolerance for. They cheated innocent people of goods that most worked very hard for. She could correctly assume that the vendor had not done anything beforehand to make the theif want revenge, for if that was the case, then the man would have made sure the vendor saw which obviously, had not been what the theif intended.

Her boots thunked on the hard cobblestone as she continued to run after the man. In the midst of the quickness of the events, she had almost forgot to draw her weapon. While running, she softly drew her favored weapon, her water sword. Now running with a sword in hand, she worked to catch up to the theif. Looking back up, she noticed that he had dissapeared, seeing an old woman in the alleyway, Meera walked up to her. She asked hurridly, "Did you see a man running this way just a few seconds ago? Which way did he pass?"

The shaken woman seemed to take a few moments to get back to her senses. She nodded sullenly then extended a bony figure towards the direction that he had headed in. Smiling at her thankfully, Meera wasted no time and sprinted in that direction, catching sight of him, she sped up to try to mantain a close watch. Wishing herself to go faster, she closed her eyes and sprinted with all of her strength, upon opening her eyes she realized that she was closer to him than she had been before. With a more determined grin on her face, she held her sword at the ready and continued her advance.

Jrail continued to run through the dark shadows of the alleyways. He had a feeling someone was chasing him even though he escaped the Vendor, it reminded him of the police back in New York before it was flooded by holy water. The Sun was in full view in the skies and shining brightly but it was still dark in the alleyways. He passed by an old women with what seemed to by a purse, it was tempting but resisted the temptation and ran from what was in his view, an old sheep who lacked any dangers. He then continued through the maze of alleyways which were similar to Pre-Flood New York. He continued to run through this maze for what seemed a long time. He then realized why, he was going in circles in the alleyway , what a stupid thing. He decided for the better, and make a turn to a different way.

He emerged back at where he had come from, the area with the the well. He then heard footsteps pacing behind him, He was being followed! He then had an idea and picked up two stones. He quickly threw threw one of the rocks on to the ground and a moment later threw the other. he heard what he planned to hear, the rocks were hitting the ground like footsteps and bounced forward like on a lake and sounded again like footsteps. He dived into another alleyway as silently and fast as he could and peaked out with his head. and saw her emerge from the other alleyway and hoped his plan would work.

Something took over him and everything went blank for him. While he was like that something amazing for him happened if he saw it. With words that weren't familier to him and a wave of both of his hands. Waves of lights went in all direction from him and and earsplitting sound overtook this area of Kellen. He then wasn't blank anymore and on instinct, he closed his eyes and covered his ears, which would be a good thing too.

Meera chased him until she saw him turn a corner. As she slid around it herself, she lost sight of him for a minute. Hearing a sound like footsteps, she began to jog in that direction, but then they just stopped. Intrigued by why the man could be stopping, she peeked in that direction. At the sight that met her eyes, she cursed. There were only stones. She instead just stood there for a second, thinking of where he could have gone. Looking up as if asking the gods for help, she suddenly thought of an idea. With a combination of jumping on crates, climbing on windows, and flying she made it to the rooftops of the houses. Jumping swiftly from one roof to the other, she looked down at the many alleys that she knew so well. With a smile she searched from the rooftops for the man. After a few minutes she spotted someone who appeared suspicious. He looked to be hiding in an alleyway and looking for someone. Just guessing that this was the man, Meera got ready to drop down into the alley and have him pay for his theiving.

Just as soon as she was crouched down and ready to jump down, she saw his hands moving in a very farmilliar motion. Almost too late she recognized what spell he was casting, one she had used very often. Her reflexes were just a tad slow and her eyes burned for a second before she could get them closed. She quickly clapped her hands over her ears but the sound leaked through. As soon as she felt that the spell was over, she opened her eyes. Her vision was blurred, but she knew she had to continue on. She couldn't hear, but that did not matter so much right now, the ringing was not too annoying. Hopping down into the alleyway behind him, she used her wings to slow her fall. With a thump, she landed. Still blinking her eyes, her vision began to clear. She could now see his outline easier. Brandishing her sword towards him, Meera stepped closer. She growled, not wanting to say anything for fear her voice would come out weird because she could not hear it. As the ringing died down, she dared to speak. She stated "pay for what you stole." That was her final warning towards him before she attacked him and forced him to do it. Using her telekinesis spell, she slid one of the crates over. Motioning with her hand, she said slyly "sit and stay a while" With a determined smile.
