| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Hearing the captain of the large vessel yell out "land ahead!" Aki awoken from a seemingly timeless sleep and looked toward the sky, he smelled the scent of dry land and of a town. Quickly he sprang to his feet, dashing to the front of the ship as he gazed upon a large town known even to himself as Taras. This was his original destination yet along the way had been sidetracked by bandits and pirates. With what little possessions he had left he awaited the ship to stop at the docks so he could explore the new city. Aki hoped he would find some type of employment so he could regain what the pirates stole from him. Feeling the ship stop suddenly he gripped the rail he was before quite hard as he would otherwise flip off the ship. Slinging his bow over his shoulder, slipping the few bronze arrows he still had left into a small pouch which seemed to be an old worn out quiver. Looking about himself, Aki quickly located the bridge and walked down it to the old docks. Taking a deep breath he once again looked around, now on dry land he seemed hesitant about venturing into the city quite yet, he was unsure of the inhabitants of the city and a deep seeded fear rose within him. |

Ainariël sat at the edge of a dock that wasn't used much for boats and ships. Ships were facinating things to watch, and it was amazing that humans and other speices had been able to conquer water, but not yet the air which was fine for her, she didn't like having people in the water, that was where she lived and the mer people and other sea elves. Next it will be the birds and avons that will suffer people. A large ship caught her eye, it was coming in to dock, and the way it looked it looked like it had been out to sea for quite a while, there were some scratches and other damages to it, most likely pirates. There were quite afew people who walked off the ship, all holding bags and other possetions of theirs. Watching people and thier lives was fun, for they all went around in a hurry, when there is little reason to, everything is going to be there tomorrow or the next day. Someone caught her eyes, he stood on the dock and he looked like he didn't now where to go, or atleast he looked unsure about the town. Standing up she started heading over to the dock, it take a few minutes to get there, when the ships were larger the docks were farther out and farther from the some docks, where she was at. After passing through some people she was almost at the stretch of dock where the man was, and now she could tell the man a Land Elf, the sea elves counter parts, she always liked meeting land elves, but she never knew why. Walking down the dock was nice, the cool sea air blew at her face and she smiled, the sea was where she loved to be. In seconds she was almost at the man, slowing her pace she smiled and walked up to the elf. "Hello, I couldn't help but notice that you looked a little lost, please tell me if I am mistaken." she smiled and watched the man, she hoped she wasn't mistaken. |

Turning his attention to the sea elf, Aki smirked toward her, too proud to accept her aid though lost he indeed was. He knew he had never seen a sea elf before though the land which he came from, although the origin point of many elven peoples had been invaded and taken over by many other races, including a large amount of orcs and humans. Yet this was of no matter at the point as he then answered the girl quite gruffly "I don't need your help, I'll find my own way" He then looked toward the town, brushing past the girl as he tightly gripped the bow slung on his shoulder and held a determined yet still lost look upon his face. |
