Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Zenoth eventually came to a village. He felt a small tug in his mind. He must have only come one or two times before. He sighed, then entered the village, wondering why the streets were so crowded today. He inquired, and eventually found that there was a festival today, with performers and such. He thought that maybe he would entertain, try to earn some money, decided to look around.

Another elf roamed the festive village. He was wearing a black cloak which obscured bost of his body, leaving only his Ash-Grey face and red eyes visable. He was looking for the mage, the one he had paid to fetch him the nessisary scrolls for a spell. He knew it would take a little time, and was in no hurry. Perhaps on the way he would pick up some food and watch the entertainers.

He paused to watch a few jugglers, and one man eat some fire. alot were just tricks, nothing real. He smiled slightly, watching it all. His snake came up, and slithered up, wrapping around his body till it's head was level with his. People backed away slightly, as it was a 5 foot snake, but he just smiled slightly.

Stirling walked through the crowd, ignoring most of the entertainers. They were the ones who used little tricks to make something mundane look extrodinary. The Half-Drow thought them hacks, and passed right by.

He stopped at a fire eater, which several people were standing around. It was mildly entertaining to the elf's love of flames, but it was still just a trick. Nearby, however, wasn't just a trick.

Another elf, he couldn't tell which type, was letting a snake twirl itself around him, going upwards until the eyes were parrallel. Stirling smile beneath his hood at the Snake Charmer. This, at least, was no trickery, but an actual skill.

He looked around. "Is there none here who is not afraid of the magnifecent serpents? Cowards." He shrugged slightly, and the snake fell to the ground, and began to entertain, occasionally snapping at people, who backed away farther. Zenoth just continued to smile, knowing that the snake would not hurt anyone. It slithered up to a hooded man, and began to slither up him, entertwining slightly, until its eyes were an inch above the other man's, who Zenoth recognized as at least part Drow.

The Half-Drow peered into the serpent's red eyes, reflecting his own. The snake leaned in towards him, going into the shade of the hood so it could look at him properly. Stirling felt the two orbs scan his Ash-Grey face and black hair, traveling over the scar over his right eye, still pink from freshness. It opened it's mouth and let off a hiss, showing two fangs. The Thief bared his own sharp whoite teeth, warning the snake back.

"If you bite me, serpent, I'll bite you back."

Uramo was in the crowd, boserving the performers. However, he wasnt entertained. Was merely watching to pass time. Watching, waiting, observing. What he did best.

He had seen the half-drow and the snake charmer enter, and was slightly interested in them. The half-drow he somehow knew. He gathered, it was a side effect of bieng linked to Konahomaru. The man must have been a criminal of some sort, escpecially with that mark of shame on his face. Kona must have given it to him.

Someone who might be willing to help him to his goals. Perhaps, the half-drow would like to get revenge. It would depend, of course, on whether or not he was patient. Uramo did not approach, merely observed from his concealed position in the crowds.

Nobody here would see the dark lightning coursing along his skin. He had learned, or at least figured out, to conceal his strange heritage. Something he also had reasoned Kona could do. It would make it much harder to find him.

Zenoth whistled shrilly, stopping it suddenly, then a slightly lower whistle. The snake looked at him, then back at the drow. It slowly slithered down the half-drow, eventually reaching the ground. It slithered back to Zenoth, going back up his body to its earlier position. Zenoth bowed slightly to the half-drow, then continued to walk through the crowds, who backed away from him slightly. He stopped to watch a man lay on a nail bed. He knew the whole trick to that, there was no skill whatsoever. He shook his head, disgusted slightly at these entertainers.

The Half-Drow bowed back to the charmer, as curtesy demanded. He earned every peice of respect that Stirling showed. Talent was hard to come by these days. As he walked off, the Thief looked around at the crown, which was dissapating.

Most of them were moving to other parts of the festivel, bored with what was in front of them, and a few came here, having already sampled all the other places. They were all moving, except for one individual, who stood cloaked and hooded as did the Half-Drow.

Some memory stirred from it's rest and attempted to rise again, but it was pushed out as Stirling spotted the mage, and began walking towards him, ready to collect his scroll.
