| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Uramo was resting at the bar, his two-handed sword glinting next to him. It was fairly empty inside the Green Gryphon, just how Uramo would prefer it. Less people to have to kill or torture. Less time wasted reaching his goal. He took a sip of his glass of water. Uramo never saw the point in drinking alcohol other than for medicinal purposes. It only slowed reaction times and ability to judge properly. Uramo casually looked around, the bartender was shaking almost violently, deathly afraid of Uramo. Dark Lightning carresed his face and body. The bartender by now had almost fainted. "Bartender!" he said loudly and clearly. The poor man fell over and broke the glass he was drying. He quickly got up and stammered. "Yes. Wha-What is it sir?" "Its broken. May I have another glass of water?" replied Uramo. The bartender almost got insulted at his remark. He didnt realize how literal Uramo was. He complied and poured another glass, and handed it to Uramo. |

Ranewen casually walked in the Inn of Kellen. This was to be hers after a few short months when her army was ready and complete. Then again, it could be years before it was fully ready. But it would be soon. Soon…Imythess would be in all Darkness, and Ranewen would be the supreme Goddess. And anyone who went against her would be assassinated within a heartbeat. She would have many different classes available and the kids would start training at a young age. Of course there would be an alternative if they were going to work for the village in an Inn or something, which would mostly be the females. She would, however, let females become knights, unlike most Gods. They were just as capable. Sighing, she looked around and sat at her own table. The bartender looked kind of…shaken. She looked at him oddly and he stammered when he took her order. She ordered a single glass of ale and looked at the man who he had just served. She didn’t know who he was, but he had a dark presence. She frowned and then simply looked away, kicking her feet up on the chair on the opposite side of her table. When her glass of ale arrived, she took a long swig of it. She then placed it down and licked her lips, golden eyes looking around. Her fangs showed for a moment, but quickly disappeared behind her crimson lips, lost in the snow-white face that rarely ever saw sunlight or something of the sort. “Thanks…” she muttered when the bartender quickly refilled her glass. Then, her golden Erinyes eyes wandered over towards Uramo again, watching him with just about no interest at all. |

Uramo felt a cold chill run through his chest, almost as if he was stabbed with an icicle. He had felt this once before, when in the presence of the Goddess of Darkness. Earlier he had dismissed it as a draft, the door to that bar was open at the time. This time however, it proved consistency. Uramo looked of to the right, and saw nobody. Then the left. Sure enough, there she was sitting at a table, feet propped up and enjoying a drink. The bartender returned to the bar, shuffled with some stuff and then went into a back room. Uramo watched him and examined his every move. He was alot less nervous now, in fact almost had an air of bravery about him. Uramo was cautious of it. Humans were insane, many things they did were of no logic at all. Still, they were of use sometimes. Uramo got up, and walked over to the table that Ranewen was relaxing at. He left his sword at the bar, a show of good faith of sorts. Need be, Uramo would be able to reach his sword in seconds. Like his 'brother' he had alot of speed. "May I join you milady?" he asked as politely as he could muster. Emotions did not actually become of him, so the notion of politness was more like oiling the diplomatic machine than an actual concern. Most people didnt realize that however. |

Ranewen raised her eyes from where they were focused upon: the table. She sighed lightly and shifted her feet from the only other chair at the table. She then nodded her head in a rather-nice manner. “Yes, you can if you wish…” came the emotionless tone from the Goddess. One would probably expect some seductive or some cold replied answer. Hers was simply boring, one would guess. Monotone at this particular time, because she was bored at the time. She lifted her glass to her lips and took another swig of it before placing it down. Ranewen shifted herself in her seat and looked over at the bartender, who seemed much more at ease now that she was there. He must have known she was some sort of powerful person who wouldn’t bring any harm to Kellen…yet. She had her own plans for this peaceful, probably forgotten, village that seemed to have nothing to do with the outside world; other than, of course, the occasional traveler from Taras or Balefire. She snapped her fingers and the bartender’s head went to her and he walked casually over as if nothing had ever been wrong. “How may I help you, milady?” he asked, his accent heavy like most in Kellen. Or at least it was heavy to Ranewen, for she had no accent at all according to most people. Perhaps one would think of an ancient accent that Ranewen had, for she was old. Very old. “Another glass of ale, please,” she said like a normal manner. She didn’t want to get rid of her identity as an immortal yet. All of the darkness side knew her secret, but none dared to spill a word, for Ranewen would know who it was and would kill them. Instantly. And everyone knew she would not hesitate to do anything, either. She would probably wipe out all of their family, first. Then friends. Followed by their familiars and/or companions. She’d make them suffer before letting them go. “Coming right up, Miss…er?” “Ranewen. You can call me Ranewen,” she said and saw something light up in the man’s eyes. He obviously remembered her name for being the ‘former’ Goddess of Darkness. And then he walked off to do her bidding. |

Uramo listened closely to the footsteps of the bartender walking away to get Ranewen her drink. If Uramo had feelings, he would have scoffed. But maybe not. He was in front of the Goddess of Darkness. He knew she had been reinstated, or whatever it was called. Not many people on this side of Imythess knew at all. That would explain why the bartender was trembling at him, and not her. "What brings you to this peaceful part of Imythess? Planning on stealing a soul or two?" Uramo asked. A fake joke of sorts. Illogical to him, but they seemed to work well on creating a trust between people. The bartebder was not listening, so he need not had worried of her 'secret' being discovered and him suffering the punishment. Not that it would matter. He would just reform out of Konahomarus evil side. A side that was yet untapped, and full of raw energy. Uramo had his own plans. He knew about Kona. Unlike the Demon Mage. He was Kona, basically, and realized this way before the mage could ever hope. Uramo planned on releasing that evil, and using it as a tool. If he couldnt, then he would kill him. After that? Find something that would benefit. It didnt matter what , as long as he benefited. |

“No, simply looking around for its weaknesses, which I have found many, which includes the lack of defensive soldiers, seeing as Kellen rarely wants anything to do with outsiders,” she said and looked around, watching as the bartender came over and placed her mug down, and then walked away without even asking for money. Ranewen shrugged it off and then looked back over at Uramo. So he had obviously known about the war and Ranewen being reinstated as Goddess of Darkness. She looked around at the people around her, who were paying no attention to them whatsoever. Good… thought Ranewen as she looked at them all. The people in Kellen seemed not to care what went on around them unless it included pain of death, an assassin, or some sort of threat to their life. And this had to do with just about all of those, but they were involved in their own business at the moment. Ranewen had excellent ears and people two tables away were talking about illegal trading between Kellen and Taras. Ranewen smirked. They were of the evil alignment, she knew, and they obviously know it was Ranewen, because every once in a while she caught a glance. This time, they were caught by her golden gaze, which then returned to that of Uramo. “Did the Vision come to you in your dreams that I was Goddess again and about how we would ride to victory in taking Kellen and the Istan City over?” she whispered as she took a sip of ale, watching him with emotionless, powerful and golden eyes. She blinked and then looked in a corner, seeing someone with a hood up. She didn’t take any notice of it, but looked back at Uramo. Perhaps he took notice of the dark person in the corner, hiding in the shadows created by the flames of the fire that crackled and hissed at the logs it was devouring slowly and slowly. |

"Yes. I saw the vision. Sent by you no doubt. You want something from me, just as I want something from you. You might already know what I want, since you were able to pry into my mind. Unless that vision was someone elses doing, or maybe I and Kona share a sort of gift. He knows I exist, just as I know he does. We share a bond of sorts. Its strange. He is discovering what exactly it is he is feeling. And a few worse things." Uramo would have smiled, but it was beyond him. This is what he had heard one human call a guessing game. Unfourtanate for the human, he was toying with Uramo. It cost him his legs. "What I want is help bringing the evil out in Kona. He does not quite understand it yet, but his father was a very evil man. What he was told were lies. He wasnt killed by a group of demons in a lightning storm defending good, he had something the demons wanted, and he fought back. They outnumbered him, so, he took them down with him. If I cant have it nobody will type of situation. You might know about it." Uramo took a casual glance at the other side of the room. The bar was starting to fill with shady characters, as if they were drawn to Ranewens darkness. Perhaps they were working for her. He had no sure way of telling. |

Ranewen nodded her head. “And where might this person be?” she asked. For all she knew, it could have been him that was some sort of inner demon. Like Ranewen had at one time, until she let herself infuse with the Erinyes. She had inherited the traits of the demon, which she could hide easily: the wings that were the color of blood and the eyes the color of gold. She hid the wings, but loved the eyes. It attracted so much attention, and one would never forget the gaze of an Erinyes. Especially if a man was lured in by him. She then sighed and looked back at Uramo, hoping that she hadn’t gone off daydreaming and missed what he had said. It didn’t look like he had said anything, for it seemed that he had just been sitting there, looking over the people in the Inn of the Green Gryphon. She crossed her arms as she leaned back comfortably in her chair, looking at him, awaiting his answer. “I can, of course, bring out his evil side if you do wish. I just need to know who it is and I shall do your bidding. And then he shall be like you, I guess you could say.” Her voice now, unlike before, was filled with at least a bit of interest. Who was this man he talked of? She couldn’t imagine who would deny the fact that their father did such a deed. She had heard of it before. Of the man who fought the demons and brought them with him to his death. She always found that tale quite the amusement. A classic, even, for she now knew that this man had a son. And a son that she would make as evil as possible, and perhaps one of her own followers. Not necessarily a chosen, but at least someone that followed her in the war and whatnot. But would he be willing to? Or would she have to force him into it? She knew not, but she knew she could find out soon. |

Uramo listened closely to Ranewen. He thought it somewhat foolish for her to think that Kona would be turned that easily. Luckily had had an expresionless face. If she could read him he would have been dead right now. Or worse. "The person I speak of is Konahomaru, Son of Light. He will be not simple task, we will most likely have to kill him, or put him in a stupor in order to turn him. He would never conciously do it. That might not even work, since he is a possible heir to the throne of light. Although some of the other gods denie it, I can assure you he is a heir. However, chances are he will not inherit it. Lately he has grown a good freindship with Veronna, and has abandoned Sargoth, much like many other followers of the light. Oppel is unknown to him, so we dont have to worry about interference from him. " Uramo explained. Uramo felt strange suddenly, and he felt something wet on his face. He wiped it off with his hand and examined it. A tear. Kona had figured out what his... thier father really was. No doubt he would have shed at least one tear, but, not any more than that. "Please excuse me. It seems Kona has encountered a bump in the road of life, shall we say." |

“To my knowledge, there is not Heir to the throne of Light. But I do not care. And I have a Goddess’ powers, Uramo, and just about no one—perhaps the only exception is Sargoth and his Chosen—could refuse what I ask of them. He will not be as hard to turn as you think, Uramo. But perhaps it is because you are too weak to know this. And Kona is, too, I’m sure.” So this ‘Son of Light’ is this person himself? Pfft. It sounds like a kinder story to me, she thought to herself as she looked away from Uramo. There was no ‘Son of Light’ unless they came from a very different world, lest Sargoth forgot to mention him having some son who was born into mortal parents. She nearly laughed out loud at the thought. If there had been a Son of Light, she would have surely known, especially since she was friend with Sargoth. Or, well…was…before she became Goddess of Darkness. She still had nothing against him, but they hadn’t spoke since then. Her eyes with expressionless, but it they weren’t, they sure would’ve looked sad. But she wasn’t sad anymore: she was never sad. She was filled with no emotions. She simply crossed her arms on her lower abdomen, her hands resting on her stomach. She stared at the ceiling, trying her hardest to think if she had ever heard of this Son of Light this Uramo claimed existed. Or was he using her, perhaps? Well, she did not want to look into his lies, and reveal what was beneath and see if this was truly a lie. It was a waste of time to her. She would see as his story went on. |

Uramo cuaght her glance before she managed to look away. ~She dare scoff at our heritage? Ignorant. Made prideful by her power. It will utlimately be her end.~ "Your power is blinding you milady. I warn you now, being so pridefull may cause you great pain. Your power was taken once, it can happen again. Now, as for Konahomaru, although you may believe it or not, he is a half celestial of light, from the celestial plane. It only makes sense that his parent is or was a goddess of light. The only ones that know for sure are him, and some other celestials. One being me, but, you dont believe me so, that leaves you out. He is partly divine, and as such you may not be able to take him in whole. You can take the human side, but i fear that his divine side will always fight with you for control." "While you may be able to overpower that side, eventualy it will either escape and become something similar to me, or it will take advantage of a slip up on your part. Remeber, your divinity is given. You are still imperfect. With all due respect, milady." "I have some people to kill, torture, and maim. So, if you would excuse me milady, I must be off. I have no doubt that you will send me some other vision when you have made your decision. Farewell." With that, Uramo got up and walked to the bar. He picked up his two-handed sword, rested it on his shoulder, and stepped out of the bar and started to leave Kellen for Taras. Kona was there somewhere. He could feel it. |
