Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Zero had been sitting on a rooftop watching the peaceful village. It was good this way. It had been peaceful and quiet for several months now. Zero found it funny how the village had always been raided by a bunch of idiots, and if the people that lived in Kellen did nothing about. Nothing to defend themselves. Zero sighed and took a deep breath. He remembered only one when he had his negative thoughts about the village. Zero wondered if his face would ever show again. But he hoped not. Zero wrapped his hand around the hilt of his sword that remained in its sheath.
Zero was just ready to head down and enter the Green Gryphon. He flew down and landed, Zero placed his hand on the knob and entered. Zero walked over to a stool and sat at the bar and asked for a glass of water. He saw the man that worked there fill up a glass with water and sat it in front of Zero. However Zero had never seen that man work there before. He wondered what had happened to the old worker. He took a drink from his water and walked away from the bar with half the water still in the cup. All he ever did was walk around the tavern.

Zorgn had sank far into the shadows of a corner at the entrance of Zero. Zorgn had thought he had died, but he proved Zorgn wrong by walking in that damn door. I might be able to hide under my cloak, my wings can't be seen under them, but my face is a bit more distinct. Hopefully the tatoo is hidden by the hood ... The demons had tatoed his face with an evil glyph, and for people like zero who wanted him dead, the tatoo was a death mark.

(i take longer to post, Rich... Sorry)

Zero walked around and looked around, he noticed a few people doing things like eating, drinking, conversating, and such things like that. Zero then noticed one hiding in a corner by himself with a cloak protected over him. Zero wondered what went wrong with him. He intended to help out the person hiding behind the cloak.
Zero walked over and patted the person on the back and asked a question. Are we alright? Here let me help you. Zero attempted to pull the cloak off the person behind it but realized it wasnt such a good idea. Not very many people liked to be disturbed or helped out. Instead he waited for an answer from the being behind the cloak. Are we just not going to talk here?

(OOC:Nah its okay dude. Take your time...just let me know when your gettin off the comp. as a heads up)

Zorgn was thoroughly peeved now. That that scum sucking piece of amphibian crap was touching him. Zorgn spoke in a voice he knew Zero would recognize. "I'm not in a talking mood... BOOM! Zorgn yelled as he threw off his cloak and cast his ignite spell. Zero burst into flames at the spell. (it says I can do that... I don't know why, but I'm taking all the advantages I can get.)

Zorgn knew he'd have only a short time before the magical fire would wear off or Zero found a way to put it out. He lept over a table and fled for the door. In such cramped spaces Zero would win every time, but outside He might have a chance.

Zero heard his voice and his eyes widened. His face showed up in Kellen. But Zero had thought he was dead. Zero didnt know what to think anymore...but only to destroy him. but he just never dies. Zero set to flames and it must have been by Zorgn's magic. Zero yelled out in pain and he needed to find water, and fast. Zero blinked his eye and teleported outside. The villagers all saw Zero yell out in pain and came to see that he had been set to flames. Seconds after being set to flames, Zero saw villager standing there looking at Zero, the villager had a large bucket of water held in his right hand. He quickly threw all the water out of his bucket and landed on Zero's body. Zero fell to his knee's and the attack on Zero was just uncalled for. His wings widened as well and Zero stood on his knee's yelling in pain. But his voice began to decend as Zero rapidly wrapped his hands around the hilt of his sword with a firm grip. He flipped his chaos blade out of its sheath and stood up to his feet. His skin wasnt damaged just got black spots. But luckily the fire didnt catch to his head. Zero's clothing was slightly ripped.

Zero began to run after Zorgn. He saw him watching. Zero blinked his eye once more and appeared in front of Zorgn. Zero swung his sword at Zorgn's torso and was ready to make contact to his torso.

(OOC:Sorry that took long)

Zorgn was surpriesd by the appearance of Zero in front of him.He quickly blinked to a position about thirty feet behind Zero, where he turned to his enemy and drew his barbarians heavy blade and prepared to do battle with Zero. "I thought you were dead! Zorgn yelled over the sound of the fleeing crowd. People with magic and swords really spooked the people of Kellen, Zorgn had burned homes and killed enough people here to know exactly why they ran. "Where the hell've you been, Zero?"

Zero could tell that Zorgn knew the same blink technique he knew as well. Zorgn dodged the attack by teleporting. Zero turned back quickly and didnt have time to talk about where they had been this whole time. But it was fun playing with the enemy.Where the hell have I been? Where the hell have you been? Why are you here? People like you just dont ever give up, do they!?
A ball of fire began to grow above the palm of Zero's hand. Zero chunked it at Zorgn and blinked his eye and appeared a few feet behind Zorgn. Zero flipped out his angelic sword as well. He began to swing his swords at Zorgn and hoping to make a direct hit. If so, Zorgn wouldnt be in very good shape. His angelic sword had an enchantment within it. Zero could hear the people go back in their houses and keeping it safe.

Zorgn saw the fireball streak towards him, and then the disappearance of Zero. Obiviously he was nearby, but there were more important things to do than find Zero. Zorgn blinked away from the fireballand watched it fly. It was headed right for Zero. Zorgn had no idea Zero was dumb enought to stand in his own line of fire.

(OOC - are we gonna fight melee or not? dodging spells is way to easy and boring, even you should agree to that.)

Zero flew up in the sky before his own spell had struck him. He was to stay in the sky and hoped that Zorgn would follow. Zero wanted to take this fight in mid-air. Zero sheathed his blade of chaos and planned on only using his angelic blade for now. Wounding Zorgn would probably take him out for good, but it had been a while now and Zero really didnt know what kinds of things Zorgn had up his sleeve.
Zero could knew Zorgn would follow him up in the sky, so he prepared himself. Zero flipped his angelic blade around and waited for Zorgn to follow. Were going to take this fight mid-air so no one gets hurt. I really hope you are able to fly! Zero had noticed him and wondered why he had tattooed his face.

Zorgn smiled as he leapt into the air. Flying was almost second nature to him now after a full year of practice. "Surely you jest. You doubt my flying? Let us test each other, and then we will see who is better." Zorgn flew high up, the clouds above drew near, and the village below shrank to a mere dot on the land. Zorgn had lost sight of Zero while he flew, but he trusted Zero's fighting spirit to force him to attack. Holding his blade tightly, Zorgn scanned the air below him for his enemy.

(OOC - I can work with that. *totally different subject now* Being really high gives both of us time to recover and regain flight if we fall. Falling into a house could ruin your day...)

Zero had seen Zorgn fly past him. He began to follow him higher and higher as he went. Zero firmly griped his sword and was ready to strike him as he began to get closer to Zorgn. He knew Zorgn was up to something so Zero kept himself a little more alert. He couldnt believe how high he had been off the ground, Kellen had faded away as he looked below. Zero held his blade downwards as he flew up, he could see Zorgn. Zero had gotten closer, closer so that he was now able to strike at his enemy. As his blade was held downwards, Zero brought his blade up towards Zorgn's hip. Zero had began to shiver, he was so high up the air had gotten colder. He hoped that his attempt was a success.

(OOC:Sorry, its all I could think of at this moment.)

Zorgn stopped flapping his wings and immediatly kicked Zero's sword. Zorgn fell backwards and down, tumbling towards the ground, but thankfully unharmed. First thing, right myself. Zorgn streched out his arms and legs, he caught the wind and was now falling horizontally. (OOC - like this - not this I) Zorgn flapped his wings mightily, and regained flight.

It seemed like hours since he had kicked Zero's sword, but he found he was but a little ways below Zero, so he had not fallen long. "This time, HIT ME! Don't fool around! Try again!" Zorgn didn't know why he was letting Zero have another chance at killing him, maybe it was the rush of coming so close to death, yet cheating it?

(OOC - damn it's fun thinking these arial battles up. adding a third deminsion to fighting really spices it up.)

Zero felt like his chance at killing Zorgn was right about now but he was puzzled there for a bit. Why was Zorgn giving Zero a shot at killing him. He must have been up to something. He knew Zorgn to well, he wouldnt give himself away that easily. But however...if thats how he wanted it, Zero would not hesitate to strike at him. He had something in mind. Zero closed his eyes and focused. In mid-air a loud noise began to increase as it would deafen his enemy and a light so powerful and so blinding. It would deafen Zorgn and blind him for a few moments. Zero then created a pillar of fire that fell from the sky. It would strike at Zorgn and eventually kill him, finish him off.

(OOC:I think I got that right....Your blind and deaf and while thats going on you have fire striking at you....I think.....)

Zorgn yelled as his eyes failed him. To his surprise he couldn't hear himself or anything at all. His first instinct was to dispell whatever Zero had cast that had robbed him of his senses. It occered to him that even if he did dispell it he'd still be blind and deaf. His one hope was to evade whatever attack was coming at him, and retaliate when his senses returned.

Where would he attack from? Above? Below? If I could just see I- Zorgn roared in pain as the fire struck him. It was suddenly clear what he had to do. Zorgn folded his wings and dived for the ground, eyes closed to protect them from freezing. The cold air battered him mercilessly, but did the trick. THe fires on him died in the face of the terrible onslaught of air.

(OOC - *bows* your fire is no more. *relishes the clapping of his imaginary audiences* ON TO VICTORY!)
