Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Aegion noticed the woman's flurry of expressions. Gazing into her eyes, he realized that she was in the midst of an internal conflict. Discovering that she was of a somewhat good alignment, he deduced that she was trying to stop herself, or maybe someone, from doing something, but also having doubts about it. Then, he noticed that she turned away just as he mentioned about helping the man. Now he was having serious doubts about this. Unless this person is a water mage or elemental, being out in the rain isn't a really good thing to do when you're wounded or sick; one might get a viral infection.

He hesitated for a moment; he wasn't going to do something that might cause someone harm. He had already done something serious of epic proportions ages ago, and had been fighting for more than 10 years afterwards, trying to solve this problem. He was not about to cause someone harm and hate himself for the rest of his life. Aegion thought about what happened earlier, when it suddenly struck him.

The man had thrown up after being healed via water by that woman. It makes sense to dispose of toxins if you're healed after being poisoned, yet sparks had travelled through the water towards the soaked woman, before being held back by the man. Then, he mentioned that he'd better be taken outside before he starts another fire... or electrocute someone!

Aegion cursed himself silently. All the while he was thinking that the man was a fire mage due to the magical symptoms that he had displayed, but with what happened earlier, how can fire travel so easily amongst water? There is only one element that can do that easily, and that is electricity. Aegion cursed himself once again. Why did this man want to go into the rain when he's wounded? Didn't he know that water might cause him some serious harm, not including the fact that thunderbolts are likely to occur, and if it struck him, in his vulnerable magical stage, he might not be able to absorb the force; he's too weak to do that.

Aegion wanted to say something to the woman, but he stopped himself and said, "Are you sure that you want to go into the rain? I noticed that you are of an electric element... and in your... er, vulnerable stance you might not be able to er, do whatever you're going to do."

He expressed what he had been thinking, but in a more tactful matter as the man would most likely understand him if their thinking were similar; if the man is really going to recharge his mana supply by shocking himself.

Zero headed inside as well and watched the whole thing. Though he did feel bad about not helping. But it seemed Meera had already stepped in to help the man. But when the man spoke and was asking for someone to abort him outside Zero thought to himself, What is he insane? This guy cannot go outside in the rain like this! It was times like this when Zero would step in and say something, but then a figure came from within the shadows of the tavern. Zero looked at the man and took a deep breath loudly. He watched the man try to heal him. He knew it wouldnt work because he had already seen Meera try this already.

Zero finally spoke, Look you guys cant send him outside. I dont know, but I'd feel bad letting him go out there and probably die when we knew we could have done something. Really, its his desicion. Zero didnt know what to do anymore. Things began to get difficult and complicated. He really didnt want in on this situation no more. He stood there and thought to himself.

(OOC:This is what happens when Im not here 24/7 <_< *lol*
If there is anything that doesnt make sense in my post or is just way off, just let me know because it was a little hard for me to understand this whole thing with like 7 or 8 post ahead of me. Thanks :) )

Meera's eyes were moving rapidly as if they were trying to watch a rapidly moving bird or horse. Instead though, she was going through an internal battle of what to do. Her brain and part of her heart told her that this man was not in his right mind and should not go outside. The other part of her heart couldn't stand to let the incapable man go without a say for his own care. It seemed as if the man that had stepped from the shadows had seen her indecisiveness and was more hesitant about letting the man go into the rain. She felt like giving him a large hug right then for voicing the opinion that she had been struggling with. Meera suddenly remembered Zero as he spoke. She could identify with him the most and looked over to him. She really was kicking herself over this controversy. Nervously, she walked over to him and placed a hesitant hand on his arm. She didn't know what to do but she hoped that Zero would help them all figure this out.

It then occured to her how much this seemingly small decision had torn her up inside. She finally realized what could happen when she had a clashing of good inside of her. They both had good intentions but had bad consequences. Then she remembered a lesson that her mother had taught her when she couldn't make a decision about what to do about one of her friends. Her mother had said consider what would happen should you choose one option. Decide on the one with the easiest outcome. Meera instantly began to think over what could happen. If she let the man go out in the rain, he would deffinitely get injured, if not killed. If she did not let him go in the rain, she would simply be fighting his own will. Compared to dying that one wasn't so bad. Now, Meera looked at the man with a sense of hope in her eyes.

Zero noticed her as she could not make up her mind on what to do. It was a hard choice for Zero as well. But the longer they waited on a hard desicion to find the higher the risks were. nothing came to mind, not at all. He wondered what went on in Meera's mind as well as this guy who randomly came out of nowhere. Zero almost forgot about Nessa. He wondered what she had been thinking. He looked over at her but said nothing. Zero could here the rain pour hard. It seemed that the storm outside got worse and Zero had a feeling that lighting would strike.
Look, we have to do something quick! The longer we wait here the higher the risks. And I have a bad feeling that lightning is going to strike.
Zero didnt know how much time they had left before something bad could have happened. But Zero would have tooken a that risk and saved a life today.

Zero then spoke again and stated what his desicion was. I say we take a risk and at least try and save a life today. Zero wanted to know what their thoughts were and what kind of desicion they would have made.
Zero knew that the rain wouldnt stop at any minute right now. He guessed that it would have went on forever. But things could have gotten worse.

Aegion nodded when Zero mentioned that they take a risk.

"He might be too weak to absorb the energy from the lightning, but this is the only method powerful enough to save his life. We can try other methods, but that lady's water magic didn't have enough power on him. Maybe she could cast some kind of shield on him so that the shield can 'filter' some of the lightning shock? Once he regained some of his powers he should be able to absorb the full impact of the lightning bolt."

He felt frustrated that his magic did not work. Before he entered the Netherealm his light powers had been second to none, but after travelling there and correcting a wrong that he had done decades ago, he had paid the full price of losing most of his spells and skills. A life was at stake here, and he was determined to save it.

As much as Meera hated to agree to the truth that Zero spoke, she knew that it had to be done. Meera would never forgive herself though if that man died and she could have done something about it. Her eyes were clouded with thought and sadness. She kept the gaze low to the ground partly in shame that she couldn't really do anything to help the man. But then, she listened to Aegion speak. He agreed with Zero, which disheartened her at first because he did not have another idea, but then at the end of it, she brightened up. He had mentioned something that she could do. She quickly scanned her expanse of knowledge of spells for one that would take the lightning shock and transfer it to the man, but it would not be as powerful. Almost immedietly, she knew the perfect one. Finally lifting her head up, she took her hand off of Zero and said "I've got the spell, I can do it." She held both her hands out in front of her and waved them creating a small aura of water around the man. The water would absorb the force of the lightning, still transfering it to the man, but still not too powerful.

Her eyes laughed with brightness as she now felt accomplished. Her wings, now lighter because they had dried somewhat while they were inside, were raised partway happily. Brushing back another stray hair behind her ear, she looked to Zero and said "well, what are we waiting for? We've got a man to save." and kneeled down next to the man. She stroked his hair comfortingly and touched one of his arms lightly, ready to help him up when he was ready to go outside.

(i bet you all thought i was letting you guys have a chance to interact? well, actually, i was in florida for the alst week. :) )

All these gracious people, so worried about him was startling. He was so used to receving little attention, many people shyed away, fearing they may not be pure enough or something to that effect, to be around him. Waiting for them to arrive to there descision, Kona did not say anything. He didnt want to waste energy on talking.

They finally cam to a decision. Konahomaru felt the watery sphere envelope him, and immediatly his own current went out to meet it, weak bolts snaking along the surface of the water. "I am ready." he said. "Do not worry about me dieng. I am of no ordinary race or health. I will explain in greater detail when I have my energy back. Accepting the womans support, and making sure the man had a good grip, kona alighted and was ready to go.
