| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Zandalor requested breakfast from the nearest barmaid. He leaned lazily against the bar. Staring around, he noticed that the Inn was extremely quiet, but that was probably because he had stayed the night here and it was only just past dawn. He had plans to explore the city, or just head back to Norwood - either way suited him. Zandalor would sometimes visit Taras and would always stay in the Song of Elves Tavern & Inn if he did. This, was one of his usual visits that he would do around this time. There was no need for him to do anything in Norwood, and so took a break by visiting Taras, once again. The barmaid approached Zandalor, and gave him his tray with his breakfast on it. There was just the usual fry-up that Zandalor would take while staying here, along with some freshly squeezed orange juice. He paid the barmaid, and slowly walked over to a table, where he sat down beside the window. He ate his breakfast slowly, and gazed out the window as he did so. Every now and then he would see people scurry past, probably on their way to whatever job they may have. Most of them were merchants, preparing for the day ahead. Zandalor thought about what he would do this fine day, as the sun was out, shining on all below... |

Halfway along the street, a young woman was washing her face and hands with a small piece of cloth in a wooden bowl - she'd paid the boy carrying it to let her do so. He had been much too afraid to say no - the girl had blood on her hands and her face had droplets of it, as well as large amounts of dirt. As it all came off, Brynn let out a small sigh, wiping her face dry with her sleeve. She looked sideways at the boy, then pulled a gold piece from her pocket and dropped it into his hand. He took one look at her now-clean face and scarpered. Hungry and now awake, Brynn went into the pleasant inn near her - much better than the hole that was Bloodseal. Her hair was down and the waves had almost curled. She took a quick look around the room, then went to the bar and ordered some simple breakfast. After doing so, she sat down to wait, at a table in front of man who had just started eating. As she glanced at him, she smiled pleasantly and then looked out the window. One would never guess what she had been doing the night before - her clothes and skin was clean - her hair had some small twigs in it, but nothing telling. There was no trace of blood anywhere. It sometimes saddened she would never know anyone decent; or if she did, she'd never know them well enough to trust them with her profession. |

Torn ran into the tavern. He was frantically looking for his fox pup, Hunt. He upturned some tables and looked under others. Then the little pup scurried out from under a crate, and under the table of the man who was eating breakfast.. Torn lunged and grabbed it. The little pup squarmed around the finnaly stopped and licked Torn's face. Torn scowled at it and pet him. Torn stood up fixing his katana and clothes and popped Hunt in to his deep pockets. He looked around. Torn was kind of hungery, so he ordered two eggs and bacon, and another order of bacon for hunt. He paid the barmaid for thr breakfast and damage. He walked over to the man he just rudley interupted. "I apologize for my intrusion back there. Do you mind if I sit here for a bit?" Hunt stuck his litte head out of the pocket. He smelt the food. Torn pushed him back in the pocket. He waited for the man to answer him. |
