Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Nessa Nénmacil

A loud yawn came from the bar as the Moon Elf stretched lazily. It was evening and she was bored, with nothing to do but hang around a tavern looking for company. At first it had seemed a good idea to choose a normally crowded place like this to sit and eat, but hardly anyone was there this night but he bartender and she had no set goal in talking to him. Nessa Nenmacil began to rock back and forth on her stool before sighing and slumping forward, laying her head on the cool bar top allowing her silver hair to tilt and fall in the way of her eyes. Her eyes closed half way and soon her mind was far away, concentrating on one daydream or another, something only she would be interested in.

"Aye, why don't ya head on to bed?" With a huff, Nessa narrowed her deep blue eyes and looked up at the barkeep. For a moment she just stared at him and then she sighed and straightened her posture and crossed her legs like a lady. From there she paused another few seconds before slouching once more and laying one hand on the bar top with a slight slaping noise. With her other hand she motioned for the bartender to come closer, as if preparing to tell him a large secret. When the man complied, Nessa leaned in, putting her lips right by his ear.

"No!" Her voice rang loudly in the silence and the barkeep jumped, pulling away quickly. "There's bound to be someone coming in here sometime or another and I plan to wait it out! First day in this place, I need to meet some people." Her voice was a normal, but slightly high pitched voice that didn't quite match the way she talked.

"Suit yourself..." Nessa watched the man walk away and sighed, once again alone. Maybe talking with the barkeep wasn't such a bad idea... Standing, Nessa made her way to a table located near the inn's fireplace which contained a nice sized fire. She sat and held her hands out to the warmth and felt her mind begin to drift again...

(One lonely person needs company. Coming right up!)

Konahomaru hadnt had a good conversation with anyone in quite a few years. He liked to learn about people, despite his emotion lacking attitude. He was on patrol. "This is a dead end job. I either have to save the world, pay a bribe, or die to get any honor in this business. All things im not looking fowrard too." he said to himself, twirling around an innocent ball of light to show him the way on the dark street. He passed a tavern, and heard a small high pitched, but unbeleivably loud "No!" and someone jumping up.

Iy piqued his curiousity. He walked in the bar, and saw a beautiful moon elf slumping near the fireplace, and the barkeep was giving her a stray eye. ~Must have had a falling out.~ he thought to himself, as he walked up to the elf. He extinguished his light ball in a small flash, and hid his aura. He never let on to anyone what he truly was, unless he knew them well enough. A safety precaution. "Excuse me miss" he said, bending over and tapping her shoulder lightly. "You seem to be lacking a companion. May i be of service perhaps?" he said, smiling. The blue halos in his eyes appeared, making him seem slightly more human.
