| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

"Come with me.." A rough voice said as Kli followed a young wizard to the docks. "Your boat awaits.." He said as Kli's blue grey eyes wandered behind her to the familiar town. "We cannot delay, princess Kli.. If we do, you are certainly not going to make it.. We must account for any trouble we may have at sea.." Another voice said, comming from an older wizard that followed her. "And being late for your own crowning would be suicide.." He said. "All that you have worked for-" The voice was drowned out though, Kli couldn't help to think of her friends that she was leaving behind. All the people she wanted to help, all the people she loved more than anything. It was madness to leave without a goodbye, yet she knew that they probably wouldn't make it in time to say the last few words. She didn't even know that she had stopped in the middle of that busy place until the voice of the old wizard had broken her thought. "Why do you stop to look at these peasents and commoners? They do not wish you a farewell.. They care only about their own problems. Come, let us get on the ship before suspisions arise.." He said, putting an old frail hand on her shoulder. "None of them care that you are not going to come back.. The only ones who are, are not here anyway.." Kli nodded, deciding that saying goodbye would only hurt worse than not. She looked toward the boat which held the flag of Lorian, starting to walk towards it. "You are going to find a new life, princess, and you will love being married to prince William.. He will treat you with respect.." The wizard droned on, Kli starting to tune him out again. She wore a green dress with matching slippers that seemed to fit her very well, though the sword hanging from her waist seemed to be strange for a lady in such a dress. Her black and red hair was tied up with braids and twists, making her look even more like a fish out of water. The wizards didn't help to cure her uneasiness from the people staring at her either, she felt like everyone now knew about her. Everyone knew now that she really was Kli of Lorian. |

Meera drew in gasping breaths as she galloped Enzo forwards. Her mind raced thinking -what if I had forgotten......I would never have forgiven myself.........I hope I'm not too late...........I'm gonna miss her so much..- the jumbled mess of thoughts crowded her head as she pushed herself and her horse on towards the docks. She was still a considerable distance away and getting more exhausted by the second but this was her last time to see her friend and was the most important thing for the moment. On her wrist, she still felt the golden bracelet rotating around her hand as it was jumbled up and down. That only made Meera more saddened at the thought of her friend leaving. She had been given that braclet from Kli herself. Meera could recall that fateful day like yesterday. She found Kli ontop of the hill deathly ill and injured. Even though Meera was scared half-to-death, she persisted and kept Kli alive. Meera sighed shakily just the memories bringing back some of the fear. Again, Meera cleared her mind and focused on the task at hand. Underneath her, she could in turn feel the shaky breaths of Enzo, he was tired as well. She could feel him slowing down. Quickly she attempted to find her other form of transportation, Kalani, but she knew that she was too far away and would never make it in time. It was then that Meera remembered the wings grafted to her back. With no time to loose, Meera took one last deep breath and pushed off of Enzo jumping into the air. She immedietly began flapping her wings and pushing herself aloft into the air. Not taking anytime, she pushed herself forwards as quickly as she could. She took one look back and saw Enzo looking curiously up at her before continuing on again. Finally, the water came into sight. It was just another moment before Meera was able to see the masts on the giant ships looming ahead of her. Excited that she was getting closer, she pushed herself harder and faster. Finally she came to the actual town. She began her descent, for once not caring if she accidentally nocked((omg, I can't believe I actually forgot how to spell that word)) people over. She began to use her wings to push people lightly to the side as she ran towards the docks. Finally feeling the soft, soggy wooden boards beneeth her feet, she began to look out for Kli. Jumping up, she caught sight of Kli's distinct red and black hair heading onto a ship. Now with even more panic in her journey, she pushed herself off and flew above the people touching down in an empty spot near Kli. She folded her wings up and ran up to Kli from behind. She didn't know who the other people were around her or what would happen to her for approaching Kli, but right now she didn't care. Nothing could stop her from giving a final goodbye to her friend. She jumped on Kli's back and hugged her tightly. Her eyes began to get watery at the thought that she might not see her friend ever again. She didn't say anything except for "Kli" very quietly. |

Kli was about to get on the ship when she heard someone running along the docks. Her surprise was heightened when she felt a tight hugging on her, a little confusion comming from the old wizard. She looked back to see Meera and she smiled widely. "Oh, Meera!" She exclaimed and hugged her friend. "I feared you wouldn't make it.." She said quietly. "I am glad, though, that you have.." She pulled away slightly to look upon her friends face and her watery eyes. "Princess, do you need intervention?" The young wizard said hastily, hinting at the urge to move on. "No, it is fine.. I am to take time to say my peace to my friend.. You may move on if I am taking too long.." She said, looking to him and giving a polite smile. The wizard sighed, standing there and looking at them. She looked back to Meera quietly. She was both sad and happy that her friend had arrived to see her off. She was happy that she had someone to say goodbye to, someone who would care enough just to say goodbye, but at the same time, she didn't want to say goodbye. She didn't want to have to say goodbye, it hurt so much to say goodbye that she felt that she could, as well, burst into tears. Going home was one thing she never wanted to do, yet now she was doing it. She was finally not that selfish little girl who wouldn't bow to her authorities. She no longer could put her people on the line because she wouldn't marry. Kli knew what she had to do, though it hurt so much to do so, and she would do it no matter what the cost was to herself. "How do I even start to say goodbye?" She said with a laugh, though she knew it wasn't funny. "It seemed to be so easy before.." She smiled softly, eyes starting to wander off. She caught her eyes wandering and looked back quickly. "I never thought this day would have to come, though secretly I knew.." She wandered off. "But I will come back.. And we will see each other again.." She smiled softly. "So it's not really goodbye anyway.." |
