| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Noath walked into the Song of Elves Tavern, early that afternoon, no one was there yet and he knew that people wouldn’t be coming in until latter. The tavern was just about to open, and Noath was about to start his new job as bar tender. Noath had been one of the best bar keeps back home and had owned one, that had been in the family for generations. Noath calmly walked behind the bar and set down his things, were they would be out of the way, but easily accessible if needed. Noath put his old apron on and started to get familiar with everything. By this time some of the bar maids were coming in and were some what surprised to see Noath behind the bar counter. They did not know that the owner had hired a new bar keep. Few hours had past and still no one had come in. Noath started to think that it was going to be a very slow day, and started to clean the bar from the fifth time that day. |

The door slung open, and a women stood in the doorway. She walked in, and then looked around the tavern. Nobody was here, but the bartenders, and barmaids. She took a seat on a chair, and set her bow and arrows on the table. "Finally, time to rest." She said, with a deep sigh. She looked around and saw a man that stood out to him. She looked at him, and thought for sure that he was a bartender. But, she wasn't sure, so she waited to see if he would come, or serve another person that would come in. |

Noath was surprised by the door opening, and had dropped the rag he was using to clean the bar top. He watched as the woman walked to the bar and sat down. Noath was very excited to serve his first customer at his new job, and quickly went to the woman. “What would you like miss,” Noath asked, and weighted for her response. Noath hope that this would not be the only customer that would come in tonight. |

So I was right! Nightfire thought as she said, "The Finest Ale you got." She flicked a silver coin in the air, and it landed at the edge of the table near him. She smiled and then enjoyed the time she had to rest after traveling for such a long time. |

Noath scurried away, grabbed a mug, and poured the pint of fine ale. It seemed that this customer had been on a long adventure and needed a rest, and a good ale. Noath stopped the tap and pulled the mug away, a perfect pour, with a nice full head. Noath returned, “Here ye are,” and placed the ale on the counter. “If ye need anything else, just ask” Noath said before turning away. Noath started to clean the bar top again, and hope that another would come in... |
