| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Noath had been out adventuring for some time and this was his first visit to the Song of Elves Tavern & Inn in many months. Noath entered the tavern, the door squeaked as it opened and when it closed behind him there was a loud bang. Noath stood surveying the tavern, but was really looking for some place to rest and drink a good ale dark. Noath soon spotted an empty table, and started his way towards it. On his way there he got the attention of the barmaid and asked for a dark ale and a small beefsteak. The bar was mildly crowded and it didn’t take Noath long to get to the table. The barmaid came quickly with a point of dark ale and said “your food will be out shortly.” Bowed and walked away. Noath found it strange that the barmaid bowed before leaving. Noath took a sip of ale and started to look more closely to the people in the tavern, and those who were entering. |

Noath was surprised that another dwarf had entered the bar; he thought he was the only one. Noath wondered if he would come over, and where he was from. The dwarf wasted no time coming over to the table, and asking for Noaths name. “I am Noath of clan Ironhunter” Noath replied. Then took a sip of dark ale and asked “and what’s yer name dwarf?” Noath noticed that the barmaid was coming with his food, and his mouth started to water, he had not had any good meat from about 3 months. When the barmaid came closer Noaths eyes hung low, the barmaid didn’t have his meal but another persons. Noath finished his ale and caught the barmaid, “another please, one from him too” Noath pointed to the other dwarf. |

"Bruenor." replied Bruenor, "I am not of this land, my heritage is unknown." The look on this dwarfs face made Bruenor tell his story." I was born a slave to a drow, in the underdark. When I grew older I was sent to the arenas to fight where I lived for many years until a certain drow rescued me, a drow who is now a friend." Bruenor noticed Noath order him food and he was glad. Bruenor was glad about many other things too. He had finally found another dwarf in this huge land of Imythess. Probably the only he would every find. |

“Aye, sounds like you could use a lot more ale, then what I ordered you,” Noath said after hearing about Bruenor’s troubled past. “I have never been to the underdark” Noath added showing his little intelligence of the world, “but if there are o few things that need bash’n, count me in.” Noath said with a chuckle. Again the barmaid came out from behind the bar with food, and again took it to someone else. This time someone who had came in after Noath. Noath once again called the barmaid over, “what’s keep’n me food?” Noath asked. She came over and set down the two ales, for the dwarfs and said “it will be ring out sir, sorry for the wait,” then bowing again and walk away. “Bring me another two,” Noath yelled at the barmaid as she ran to back behind the bar. This drew stairs from a few of the men in the tavern. Noath wondered if there would be as much trouble as last time he was in here, hoping not he turned back to Bruenor. Noath knew he shouldn’t be drinking, but it was his true weakness, and when he gets drunk, the true dwarf comes out. |

The unusual conflict of the two planes concluded and had sent him here for unknown reasons. Something about the place was unfamiliar and yet seemed so memorable, as if he had been here before. This odd sensation was something of an enigma as the darkly-clad planeswalker looked around him as he noticed the signpost of the tavern. He had no reason to pay much attention to the elements around him as he could not be bothered to pay attention to it - he had other, more worrying things on his mind. -An inn...Elves...hmm...- Zackar began thinking to himself, as if in self-speech. -So I'm not in an advanced realm. Good thing for that - who knows what that warp could have done to me if it was disturbed in the essence of time as well.- Sighing, he looked around before entering the bar, his gaze falling upon all that were within. He had no coin to spare, so he simply looked for an empty seat nearby and had taken his place in it, looking around with muted content. -It seems to be a quiet night tonight.- Zackar retorted as he looked around the people that were in the inn tonight. Everyone seemed to be occupied with themselves, not paying any attention to anything on the outside - or even on the inside - and unaware of the dark figure in their midst. -Just how I like it...- He thought, a grin flashing across his features as he looked on. |
