| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Fin had been rushing to and fro for the past few hours as she worked the noon to closing shift at the local Song of Elves Tavern and Inn, taking orders, clearing tables, bring order to the customers and of course chit chatting with the locals. With a tray full of mugs, and glasses filled to the rim with ale and the like she found herself tripping over feet, chairs and anything else that got in her way until at last she fell over a stool and spilled the drinks on one of her customers. "Hi", she whispered bright red in the face as she stood up and began to clean up the mess. The man who she had spilled the drinks onto got up angry and with a swift hand grabbed Fin by the hair and looked her in the face. "I want my drinks on the house and I want your pay for the day to pay for my new cloak." He said as he throw her back against the table and showed her his stained cloak. Nodding she cleaned up the mess with the appron around her waist, before rushing back to the bar and bringing the man a new order. Tears of embarressment spilling down her face she continued with her work rushing to and fro again as the man who she had messed the cloak up of watched her like a hawk. |

Standing in the corner with his face hidden in shadow, Tyr leaned back against the wall, watching what the man had done to the young woman. He raised an eyebrow slightly as he stood apart from the wall, a slight smirk on his face as he chuckled under his breath. One hand gleamed as the bright golden claws of his dragon form had extended through his fingertips, gleaming even in the shadows. He then started walking toward the man, his long dark blue tattered cape drifting gracefully behind his soldier like figure. The old clothes he wore were that of a soldier, baggy and torn at this point after so many battles. His hands almost hidden under the shadow of the cape yet his claws even now still shone in their glory. Stopping just behind the man he grabed the mans shoulder and turned him on the chair, a dark look as his eyes faded and turned into that of his dragon form, a chaotic grin on his face as deep below his breath he snickered at this foolish human. He grabbed the mans neck and lifted him into the air with his clawed hand and growled deeply, saying in his draconic voice "you touch her or anyone else again and you will pay with your life you insolent germ." Tyr then threw the man to the ground as he scampered back to his feet and ran out of the tavern. Tyr simple huffed and walked back to the corner he stood in before, deep in the shadows as his claws sank back into his flesh. |

Gibbon entered the tavern he so loved. He came to visit his soon to be wife at her job. He saw the hustle and bustle of the tavern and sat at a stool up front. As he sat down he saw Fin stumble on a foot or something and spill the drink she carried. A man grabbed her by the hair and cursed words of which he couldn't hear. Gibbon drew his sword in a sea of rage. Eyes of the darkest ember. As he approached the man another approach and greeted the man justly. Gibbon walked up to the fine man who warned the scum. "I appreciate the gesture to my lady. I am glad there is other with good will in this world. Let me introduce myself, I'm Gibbon and clumsy but beautiful lady is my fiancé, Fin. Again, I'd like to thank you." he held his hand in a kind gesture. |

Looking through the shadows Tyr scanned this man with his now human eyes. He smirked slightly at him as he felt blood running from his fingertips from the large claws tearing through the human flesh. Shrugging slightly he said in a low, cold tone "think nothing of it." Then having realized Gibbon probably wanting to know Tyr's name he felt almost stupified at his lack of realizing such before. In a vain attempt to not sound stupid he said several seconds later "my name, if you must know, is Tyr Zeturoki. I don't normally come here but tonight was a fateful one I suppose" A small huff came from Tyr's nose, he shook his head then grinned slightly "she should really be more careful, wouldn't want to run into that problem too often" Then he noticed Gibbon's hand and he raised his eyebrow, then he extended his own non blood soaked hand gripping Gibbon's hand unknowingly hard and shook it in somewhat of a reply...or confirmation. |

Fin had seen the man who had come to her need and was very greatful, so greatful in fact that she picked up the stained cloak cleaned it up as best she could and brought it to the man. "Perhaps sir you would like this as a memory of what you have done to help me tonight as well as to keep you warm you wear such rags." She said in a gently voice and offered him the cloak. Smiling at her love Gibbon, Finduilas gently moved behind him and rubbed his shoulders. Standing on her toes to see over her love's shoulders she asked both men in a gentle yet happy tone, "Would either of you enjoy a drink?.. I will more than happily pay for them." She went back silently to rubbing Gibbon's shoulders as she waited for there replies to her question. She knew her love would want the darkest ale like always but knew not what the stranger would want. Blushing slightly, Fin softly kissed Gibbon the back of the neck before whisepring into his ear, "I am glad you tired to help me too love. I know you wanted to help." |

Shaking the hand of the man, Gibbon became a bit intimidated. It makes sense though. Gibbon didn't really like blood all that much. And when the man shook his hand with blood on it. He came off as creepy. He only hoped he was wrong and would sit and chat with the man that helped his dear Fin. "That would be great, dear!" he turned to Tyr. "You want anything? They have a great selection of drinks here." he went and sat back down at his stool in hopes the man would sit and talk. |

Tyr looks at the cloak with a raised eyebrow, then back up to her. Never had he seen such kindness showed to him before. He took the cloak, bowing somewhat as he says in a low yet greatful tone "thank you." Then looking back to Gibbon Tyr smirked slightly, knowing the man was somewhat afraid of him. He then chuckled under his breath and said "you need to be afraid of me, I'm just another aimless wanderer" He then looked at the two of them scratching the back of his head, pondering what, after so long, he would actually drink. He barely remembered what a drink was let alone the name of one. "I'll just take water...I think" he said in a confused tone, the very look on his face showed his puzzlement at this time. Looking at Gibbon once again he walked from the shadows and sat behind him, stretching his back as his wings accidently appeared and started flexing themselves. He quickly realized what he was doing then hid his face as it glowed somewhat red, the thoughts going through his mind 'what do these people want...and why the hell did my wings suddenly pop out? That doesn't happen very often'. Tyr then raised his head once again when it returned to normal, sweeping his hand through his hair to spike it back up. He then asks Gibbon "why are you being so kind to me? all I did was what needed to be done." |

From his rented room, Clemente went down the stairs. Hid wings were folded on his back, placed inside his clothes. As he entered the noisy tavern, he saw three figures having a conversation. He knew the two, one is the bartender he met yesterday, and the other one is her fiance. But he doesn't know the third one, who appears to be a human. Today, he is scheduled to do his task - to perform in front of the crowd. Walking in a normal speed, he approached the three figures, though he just needed to talk to the woman, the bartender, to tell her that he will be starting his performance right away. Politely, he interrupted the conversation, "Excuse me, dear friends. I just want to inform you, especially to Miss Finduilas, that I'll start my performance now." Bowing low, he went to the platform. He pulled out from his bag his beloved musical instrument. And before playing, he introduced himself from the crowd. "Good day, people. To make your day better, here is a simple music. I hope you will like it." He then started plucking the strings of his harp, sending out a soothing sound. He accompanied his music with his own voice, singing a song with all of his heart. |

Fin nodded to the bard and kissed her beloved Gibbon the cheek before saying in a happy voice, "I'll be right back with your drinks." With that said she smiled at them and vanished behind the bar and soon returned with a tray in hand with three drinks upon it. One was a large water, another was the darkest of the bar's ales and the third was a light ale. Sitting the tray down she passed out the drinks before picking up her own and taking a seat beside Gibbon. Turning to watch the bard she smiled he was very good at what he did though sadly most paid little to none attention to him as most were drunk. Shaking her head in disapproval she sipped her light ale and turned back to look at Tyr. "You ask why we are kind to you sir? That answer is as simple as it could be.... You showed me kindness in my time of need to it is only right for me to return the favor in being kind to you." she explained a smile playing upon her face as she looked Tyr in the face. |

Dropping from the sky in a heavy black cloak, his wings consealed within it, staring down at the swiftly coming ground. His eyes emerald green, swirling in ever vast knowledge, seeming deep as the pits of hades, nearly illustrios as the gods, and chaotic as the greatest demons. His hands, barely visible oddly were clawed, solid black razor like claws such as that of a dragon demon. His cloak raging upward in the extreme wind from the high drop, dark black ripped pants bustling, the cover on his head showing only his gleaming blonde hair, pulsating with a deep gold glow. Crashing down to the ground, landing on his hands and right knee he created a small crater like hole in the ground, larger than his body and circular, as though caused by something far larger. His cloak dropped down around him, hiding his entire body, even the lines of his body were invisible. As he stood his body took more shape beneath the heavy cloak. Kaydens eyes flashed a bright white then returned to that of a human. Gone grey his eyes seemed so dull, so unlike who he was behind the shadows of the cloak. Looking around Kayden had focused his sight on a small tavern with the name "Song of Elves Tavern" on a swinging banner infront of the building above the door. He remained emotionless, almost frozen as he walked slowly toward the tavern. Kayden pushed the doors open, so quietly he couldn't be heard as his shadowed figure entered the tavern and sat on one of the stools. He sat with no one around him, he did not seem to care. Behind him he knew someone was hiding who they truly were, along with that one sat a man and a woman. He did not look at them but he knew they were here, possibly the deepest bounds of fate brought them all here. He didn't know it, yet he felt a force deep within himself, he felt fate stirring in his mind. A prophecy was soon to come, he knew it, yet who was the prophetic one and why would he be here. A better question he thought of was 'what do I have to do with this? I would have sensed this before if I didn't have something to do with it.' Yet what was the very thing he was prophecised to do, why did it involve them. Somehow, Kayden knew all his questions would be answered soon, sooner than he wished. So at the time he waited...waited for fate to take his life over, or take his life completely. He thought to himself 'I'm merely a lone wandered...a lost prophet...whatever happens will happen'. |

Gibbon sat as he watched the bard play his wonderful tunes. He drank his ale, which seemed to be dark as tar. He listened as Fin explained why they did what they did. "It's true, deeds good or bad are rewarded with deeds of the same nature. So, you did us a kind deed. I say buying you a drink is the least we can do." he smiled and hoped that he made the man happy in his good deed. "Fin, who is this bard here? He is excellent; I want to know more about him. He is that of a dying breed. Bards these days aren't the same, but this one here is that of what I have heard in legends. One that can aide men in battle, sooth those that are ill and mend hearts that are broken. You know what I mean right?" he turned to Fin with a grand smile and a kiss. |
