You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

The night was young and the stars shined brightly on the city stone streets. The street lamps were now lit and smoke from the many chimneys cold be seen floating up and out. The moon had a dim glow this night, a very eerie, dim glow. A man stood out side of his house weeping like he was dying. He was old, looking like he had a very large number of grandchildren. There were a few Taras City Guards out side of his house investigating the scene of the crime. Blood was spattered every where on the walls and the ground. A dead body lay near by, brutally murdered. The face was no longer recognizable and the body it self seemed to be mangle to death. Jasmine was disgusted. She went over to the old man and said without emotion, “I am here. Tell me what they looked like.” Jasmine stared at the old as he began to weep even more. She felt pity for him and patted him on the shoulder, reassuring him that she would get the dirty criminals who had done this to him. The old man gained his composure and looked into her eyes. “They were big men. Strong looking. I tried to stop them but they just threw me against the wall. They killed my precious grand daughter. I want them dead! I will pay you anything for you to bring me back there heads.” Jasmine nodded her head in agreement. She stared at the old man and studied him. She stared into his eyes and used her telepathic spell to read his mind. She saw what happened and looked in the direction the men ran. She gazed back at the old man and said, “I will not bring the heads back to you, but you may see their death. If I do not have to kill them in order for me to survive, then you will see them be hanged at the city square.” The old man nodded and weakly smiled. Jasmine turned and took off. She showed Calphurnia what the men looked like with her mind and had her search in the air. Jasmine was now walking though the city streets, preparing her self for a fight and justice, both mentally and physically. ((OOC: I know that she is not in tavern yet, but she is making her way there.)) |

Mosvani breathed in the cool night air, as he made his way to the Bloodseal Tavern. He was dressed in black attire, a bit thicker then the weather called for as he expected they would get bloody this night. The streets were mostly empty as he walked, few people venturing out after dark this night. Word had it their had been a greusome murder in the area, but that wasn't his concern tonight. A man had seen something he shouldn't have, and was in hiding becuase of it. The people who hired him feared he would go to the Talas guards, and wanted him silenced. The reason mattered not to Mosvani, as the money was good and he knew the contractors would pay once the job was completed. So he had begun searching, and after a couple days had found he was currently hiding out in the Bloodseal Tavern. He had also been able to find out what the man had saw. He pictured what had happened in his head and he walked to the tavern. He was walking home, from a day of picking pockets in the busy streets, when he heard a commotion. Peeking around the side of a building into a alley he saw a city guard being beat to death. Unfortunently for the man, one of the guys beating the guard saw and recognised him, forcing him to run. Mosvani rounded another corner, which brought the tavern into his line of sight. It was nestled in a dark corner, and a crowd had gathered in the street outside the door. Coming closer, he was able to see that two men were fighting as the crowd cheered them on. A quick glance showed that neither the men fighting nor any members of the crowd was the man he was after. Passing them by, he walked through the doors as shouts of "Kill him!" could be heard coming from the crowd. |

Jasmine was walking through the dark alley ways with her hand on the hilt of her sword. She looked up every few seconds to see what news Calphurnia would bring to her. The moon light that shined down on the streets was very dim. It seemed to get darker and darker as Jasmine went on in the streets. She was about to turn the corner when she heard a something slam into the wall. She immediately with drew her katana and prepared her self for a fight. She peeked around the corner and noticed that some one had slammed a man into the wall. He had him pinned and was threatening him. Jasmine jumped from around the corner and swung her sword at the criminal. She made so that the flat of the katana smacked him on side of the head. His skin broke and blood bean to flow down his cheek. The other man ran away while the other fell to the ground. Jasmine came to him and grabbed him by the shoulders. She recognized him from when she looked into the old man’s eyes earlier that day. “Who do you work for? Tell me now! Where did the others go?” The guy looked at her with half open eyes. He looked like he was about to pass out. Jasmine was angry now. He would not answer and that was what she needed. She squatted down on the ground and looked at him. She took his finger and bent it back. A loud and painful sounding scream came from his mouth. “Okay okay. The other guys went down to the Bloodseal Tavern. That’s where the hide out is. About the person I work for. I don’t know who he is. He sends a messenger to us, telling us what to do. We do the job and we get paid for it. That’s all I could tell you.” Jasmine stood up and took her sword in both her hands. She looked down on the man and said, “You have done wrong this night. You took someone’s life and ruined another’s. There evil doers shall be no more.” Jasmine took her sword quickly brought it down. She took it out and wiped it on his cloak. On she went again down to the Bloodseal Tavern. There was a large throng of people surrounding two men. They were fighting to what seemed like to the death. Jasmine ignored and entered the tavern. It was loud and rowdy. The candles did not seem to do much work and might as well have been blown out. There were eerie looking people everywhere in the tavern. They all seemed suspicious of each other. You could tell who belonged to who due to the types and colors of cloaks they wore, or the tattoos that told who they belonged to. Jasmine took a seat across the room in a dark corner. She sat there, looking and studying the crowd, searching for the ones she was after. |

He had found a place toward the back where he could see anyone who came in or out of the bar. He could hear drunken laughter around him, and occasionally a fight would break out but Mosvani gave it only enough attention to know that he himself wasn't in danger from it. He saw a dangerous looking woman walk in, but ignored her shortly after. She wasn't who he was after. It seemed two rival gangs had been gathering for several minutes, and a stand off was ensuing. He could see the innkeeper behind the bar, glancing nervously about and almost in tears at the thought of yet another fight breaking out in the inn. Mosvani assumed that it was a nightly occurrence, and that it just may end up putting the man out of business if it continued for much longer. It seemed the arguing was getting louder, each side yelling drunken slurs at the other side. Then it happened, someone from inside one of the groups threw a bottle at the other side and the fight exploded. Bottles were being broke, knives pulled, chairs smashed, and people fighting with fists all over the place. Mosvani sighed to himself, knowing this would make his job harder. A man was thrown on his table then, followed by another man rushing him and trying to stab him with a knife. The other man was holding his arm at bay, when through the gap between them Mosvani saw the man he was after enter the bar and run up the stairs, followed by a group of big men. Wasting no time, he jumped to his feet and began maneuvering through the room. Behind him, he heard a scream signifying that one of the men had been stabbed. He worked his way through the fight, dodging random objects and occasionally having to throw people out of his way. At some point during this time, someone had managed to put a small gash in his shoulder. It wasn't much, but it would slow him down and he possibly couldn't afford that. Finally, he reached the stairs and began walking up them as the fight continued below him. |

Jasmine was sitting there waiting for the gang fight to happen. She watched and waited to see who would throw the first punch. Just then a bottle flew into the air and the men started to jump all over r each other. The commotion that came from the fighting was so loud that Jasmine could barely hear her self think. She watched and used her telekinesis spell to move anything that was coming her way. She even had to launch a man that head been hurled toward her. She grinned and laughed at the stupidity of the fighting gangs. They were what she hated most amongst people. Scum like them is what brought hatred to Jasmine’s heart. Jasmine noticed that a couple of men went up the stairs. She stood up and noticed another man making his way towards them. He looked suspicious to her so she followed all of them. Jasmine was shoving people out of her way, sometimes knocking the men over to their faces. She looked at them, wanting very much to cast a flash burst spell and stop them all. She may have been a little cocky with her powers but she knew for a fact that she could take out everyone in this bar as long as there were no skilled magi. Jasmine reached the stairs and stayed just far enough behind as to where she could see the men but they could not see her. She could hear them very well and noticed that nothing was said of the men, just laughs and grunts. Jasmine quietly ran up the stairs and came up behind the other man following her target. She threw out her hand at him so that a crackling energy shot at him. She made so that just enough would knock him down but not enough to hurt him. The others turned around when they heard this. They saw Jasmine and ran to their room. She glared at the and yelled, “Oh do not think that you are getting away!” Just then Jasmine closed her eyes and murmured the cantations to her flash burst spell. An extremely loud burst came about along with a searing blast of light. Together they were deafening and blinding. Jasmine uncovered her eyes and walked over to the man she shot at. “You there. What is your name and state your business with my target.” |

He continued walking up the stairs, going slowly. As he neared the top, he could see the group he had followed just down the hall. The group had his mark cornered by a door, who seemed very frightened by whatever the men were saying. He stood their, waiting to see what happened. After all, if they killed him, then that was as good as him doing the deed himself. All that mattered was the man was silenced before he had a chance to talk. The sound of the brawl below was loud enough to keep him from hearing the approach of someone behind him. He had only the brief sense of someone behind him to warn him before he was blasted by magical energy that threw him to the ground. He landed hard on the stairs and a searing pain shot through his side as his ribs collided with the stairs. He winced in pain and had no more time to think, as the blast was shortly followed by someone yelling and a large bang that left his ears ringing loudly. Through the ringing, he could barely hear a female's voice. “You there. What is your name and state your business with my target.” He groaned in his head. From the sound of it, he had another bounty hunter on his hands and she was after the same person as him. He didn't have time for that, as the attack surely had alerted his mark to their presence. Hoping to avoid a fight, he responded somewhat disorientated. "The name is Streea, and I'm after the man known as Laurence. He has a bounty on his head, and I intend to collect it. I did not know the bounty had been offered to other hunters as well." Thinking quickly, he decided to share information in hopes of maybe gaining a partner or finding out if she was indeed after his mark. "He's a common thief, and appeared to be getting chased by a group of men before we.... Met. Perhaps our goals are one in the same? If they are, how about a truce and we handle them together?" The ringing was becoming less pounding now, and either the brawl had stopped when she made the loud sound or he had lost some of his hearing as a result. Wearily, he slowly got to his feet as he tried to ignore the pain in his side. He didn't know if she would take his offer or not, but one way or the other he intended to get this bounty.
