Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Today Anexia was in calm mood. Nothing now seemed to go wrong, but as usual it would eventually end up that way. It was pretty windy outside and Anexia liked the breeze pushing against her. It felt good. Really, she didnt know where she was at, or why. She kind of just ended up there. She walked around the village she was in for a little while, until then she just walked. She ran into a tavern, across the street from her and thought she would pay a little visit. But its not what she expected. It was after hours and the sky was dark. Anything could have possibly happened while she was there.

"Oooo! Yippi! A tavern!" She spoke a little childishly, but it was the way she acted at times. She rushed her way crossing the street and when she arrived, her hands pushed against the enterance door.
But when she entered it was the usual. It was night time and obviously you'd find a couple of drunks nearby. But her eyes scanned the place for a quiet spot. She looked across the room. It was the corner of the tavern where she ended up sitting at. She didnt order anything, she just sat there by the window, and possbily thinking about anything right now. Anexia didnt feel okay when she noticed a few people began to stare at her though. She tried avoiding this by acting as if she didnt know people were staring. Anexia's face got a little sad and didnt know how she would control this or handle this.

*On this day, Kore had decided to return to the place where he had first worked. It was a nostalgic trip and he didn't mind the smell the stables still held. He had talked with some of the locals, catching up on old times and even stayed for a meal in one of the houses there.

Late that night, he figured he'd take a trip to the local tavern to have a fun night of drinks. Upon walking in, he instantly recieved gawks and overheard idiot and mundane humor being made at his missing arm. He snickered and kept on his way to the bar table. Placing a gold piece on the table, he pointed to a round table with no occupants. The bartender nodded and began making a round of drinks for the man.

Kore took a seat at the table facing the bar and propped his feet upon the table. Taking a deep sigh, he took a coin from his satchel and began twirling it through his fingers, from thumb to pinky, then back.

A little later that night another person walked into the tavern alone. It had been a while since anyone ever entered. She guessed that she was the last to enter the tavern before he did. But it was a good thing he came in because Anexia was getting a little frustraited at the people who were currently staring at her. It all of a sudden got loud in the tavern. All because the man that entered had a missing arm.
The man didnt look to happy when he was made fun of.
Anexia looked down at the table just wondering what to do next. She was really bored and wanted somthing fun to do while she was at it. After that she paid no attention to the man that walked in. To her, he was merely just another "one of them".
She didnt notice it untill then but a different man came up to her, she couldnt decide whether he was drunk or not. But the way he was talking was just stupid.
Anexia was only 15 and the man was talking to her as if they were dating or somthing. This got Anexia mad and she didnt know what to say to this. But it would be no surprise if the man ended up dead in a little while.

*He recieved his liquor and thusly pocketed his coin. Grabbing the pint, he sipped on it slowly, enjoying the wonderful taste of the barley and the malty flavor to it. The voices of the people around him were dulled and incohesive for he had no idea what they were talking about and he personally didn't care, he just kept sipping his ale.

Soon after he finished his drink he overheard a conversation in the back as the roar died down and people kept to themselves. It sounded as if the man was drunk and hitting on whomever it was. Curiosity got the best of him and he turned around to see how this would play out.

He almost dropped his mug when he saw the age of the girl in the back. Quirking a brow, he was unsure of why this grown man would show an interest in this girl...to Kore it was immoral. Standing up, he walked behind the man and cleared his throat to catch the man's attention.*

"Excuse me sir, but you do realize how drunk you are to be flirting with one so young? I would certainly appreciate it if you left her alone- obviously she has refused your company several times. If you still wish to persist, I am going to have to force you to leave. Are we clear?"

The man didn’t know what to think when the one armed man came up to him and told him to leave. But the drunk was too intoxicated to know how young Anexia was. And certainly didn’t care. It was just his night of fun. But when the drunk looked at Kore, he began to laugh. "Heh...hahahahahah...listen bud. If your planning to take me down with a single arm, then heh...you've gotta be kidding me.
Your out one arm. Sorry but you should really mind your own business!"
He laughed even more and didn’t think what the consequences were going to be after he had just refused to Kore. Anexia was planning something on her own though.

Anexia sat there. She was a bit afraid at what might have came down. It was going to be a wrestling ring if she didn’t act quickly.
Anexia stood up and sheathed out her sword. She was too young to be killing, but she's done it before and really showed no fear in killing this man.
Anexia's sword was heavy and she tried to keep it in balance, while pointing her sword at the mans chest. If the drunk continued, she was going to have to drive her own blade deeper into his chest. Anexia's eyes swung over at Kore.
"Your name sir?" Anexia demanded for the mans name.
But she also noticed that the whole tavern went quiet, staring at nothing, but the three. She had plans for the drunk that came up to her. But she didn’t say a word to him. Not now. But later.

*Tilting his head to the side as the man laughed, Kore was almost saddened that the guy was rejecting his calm request. He eyed the girl behind and noticed she had reached for something by her waist. Looking directly at her, he shook his head insisting that she left this to him.

When the man questioned the abilities of Kore, he stood there, giving him an icy cold looked and laughed sinisterly- to the point that it would make some tremble in fear of the unknown. When the man finished his rants, Kore raised his hand slowly, showing an open palm, as to show him that there was nothing there. He talked to the man in his language from the lich.* "Oui ryja hu etay fryd oui yna taymehk fedr. Ymm sah vayn taydr...E ys taydr! Vayn sa!" *He said as he thrust his fist to the man's neck. Clenching the trachea, the drunkard was losing air fast.* "Tynghacc dryd ahjamubc sa, vuns sa dryd frelr femm cruf drec vuum nekrd vnus fnuhk." *As he said that, he loosened his grip, but brought up what was left of his other arm. He held it there as dark magic formed a ethereal version of what used to be there formed and he held that hand out the same way as the other one.* "You see this here? This is called an arm, but unlike the one that's clutching your neck, I will shove this arm right through your body and implant your soul into this tiny crystal I have in my pocket. Then I'll cast it down the river and laugh as you skulk around lifelessly without that which gives you reason. Now I ask you one more time- Leave now and never show your face around this town again, understand?!"

She didnt get a name but it didnt matter as much anymore. Anexia already wanted this kill. She ignored the man that gave her a look as if to leave the drunk alone. Instead she kept her blade there pointed at the man and decided to drive the blade in his chest, little by little. You do not come up to me like this ever again! This is an end to you! Anexia jammed her blade in deeper to the drunk. He began to bleed and the blood rushed heavily out of his system. Lots of people in the background were shocked and were filled with fear in their eyes. They couldnt believe what the young girl just did. But she was hoping they'd understand this situation. She kept standing there with the blade in his chest, yelling at him and cursing at him. She knew what she did wasnt the right thing, but people tend to do the wrong things at some point in time.

*As she impaled the man, Kore gasped and quickly prepared a spell to get away. Looking around, only a few had been paying attention to what was going down. Whispering a few archaic words, they played from his tongue to the ears of no one, but its power surfaced shortly thereafter. His eyes glowed a fierce black as he plunged himself and the girl who stabbed the man into a globe of darkness. Just to finish the job, he clenched as hard as he could on the guy's neck, crushing his larynx.

Now in darkness, he looked at the girl as clear as day, but was afraid that she didn't have the same luck. He grabbed her hand which held the weapon and with the other hand he placed a finger on her lips.*

"I'm pleasantly surprised by you...I didn't think you'd actually do it, but that's not what needs to be addressed. We killed this guy, so we need to make a b-line out of here before they can get a profile and have us finding our face on warrent bulletins, savvy? Now I cast a globe of darkness to cover our escape, I just need you to hold on to me hand while I get us to my nightmare, then probably make our way to wherever you need to go." *He whispere in her ear softly so they wouldn't be heard*

Anexia pulled her blade out of the mans chest and she saw that the man crushed his throat. It was nice and perfect. Nothing else could have statisfied Anexia. She let the man drop to the floor as she let go of him. Anexia noticed how messy her blade was when she pulled it out of his chest. She simply reached down to clean it off with his shirt that he wore, and put her blade back in its sheath.
That should have done it! When Anexia looked back up, somthing wierd happened. She had never really seen anything like this before though. It was her first time to see a darkness so pitch like this. But not to mention that her eyes were open she just couldnt see a thing at all. But she felt a finger placed on her lips. It must have been the man that helped her kill the drunk off.

She heard his voice clearly and he was planning an escape with her. Of course Anexia didnt really mind that. It was fun to just 'kill and go'
Well, I did feel a little scared of actually killing him, but...I dont know. But lets just leave. If its your plan, then get us out. I will hang on to you, and follow.

"Let us make haste then before the drunkards notice a big black ball in the room." *he suppressed laughter and grabbed her under his arm and made his way outside. Dispersing the globe, he whistled for his nightmare. A few minutes later he could see the steed galloping towards him.

Slowing down to a halt, Kore looked at this girl and pointed to the horse.* "We're gonna get on this then we're gonna get outta here and try and not show our faces here for a bit, ok?" *With that he grabbed her by her waist and clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth. Kamahl kneeled down so Kore could gently place her on the saddle. Then with one fluid hop, Kore got on behind her.* "I say we take a trip to Taras and drop you off by the docks, unless you have another destination I can leave you at."

Anexia could not tell what else was going on. All she knew is that she was being carried away, outside the tavern and somthing about riding a nightmare. Anexia heard what that was. But it had fleeted her memory.
Anexia was given a choice of where she wanted to go to escape. She didnt really want to be droped off at the docks, but to some tavern at least. But if she said tavern, she got the feeling that this man would not trust her at all. Not to a tavern at least. Taras did sound like a good place to go to while she made her escape.
But while they were on the road to Taras, Anexia wanted to learn more about this man. A name for a start would be nice. She never got his name.
I prefer the tavern, a tavern near Taras. Maybe in Taras. But Im not sure you trust me to go to anymore taverns. Thats what Im afraid of. But I promise, I will try my best not to kill anymore.
If it were a tavern, then what Anexia said was true. But she'd try very hard not to blow it. But something got to her, she didnt really know who this guy was.
Sir, your saving me from all this mess I made. But I didnt get a name, nor do I know who you are. It would be nice to know who you were before I thank you though.
Anexia felt them speeding up a little already and heading to where ever she asked to go.

*As they galloped away, Kore shook his head in the wind, his hair whipping about. He knew the way to Taras with his eyes shut, but just to play it safe now that he had a passenger, he kept his eyes wide open, riding them out of danger and back to the city where he felt at home. She had said the tavern, so he was going to leave her off at the entrance even though he had his doubts about how well-tempered she was. He laughed silently as she promised not to kill anymore.* "It's alright, I trust you, and I know a perfect place for you, and its right on the way to where I'm going. Just please stick to your promise for I cannot spring you from every situation like this,"

"Oh, my name? It's Koresoto, but please, call me Kore. Only officials and my girlfriend call me that, but if it really tickles your fancy, you can also call me that. And if I am to accept your thanks, I would like to know the name of the one I saved." *He said with a laugh.*

All Anexia felt was the bumpy ride and nothing but. She couldnt really stand it but she had to get on his horse in order to escape the village she was currently in.
She listened to Kore and heard him clearly. She most certainly didnt want to make Kore mad by calling him Koreseto. Kore sounded better to her though. Though it had been a good thing that Kore still trusted her. But a promise was a promise and she couldnt break it to him. After all, he did help her escape and he was doing her a big favor and in return he would have gotten a big thanks.
Thank you for at least trusting me like this. Not very many people would have done something your doing right now. I think I will stick with Kore though. It sounds better to me. Nice name though. Oh and by the way, I might say my name is Anexia. Anexia giggled and rode away with the man. Still the bumpy ride was all she could get right now but it wasnt as bad though.

"Yourwelcome, and thank you for finally putting a spring into mine. The night was getting dull and I needed some action...and luckily thanks to ale and a fiesty young girl like yourself, I got that." *He said with a smirk. He would happily take this girl to the tavern- as long of course if she stays out of more trouble, for it would affect his reputation there. He kicked the sides of his nightmare and he galloped even faster towards Taras.

An hour of silence passed by before they arrived at their desitination. Kore looked at her a ruffled his hair with his hand when they stopped at the tavern there. Hopping off, he held out his hand like a chauffer would with a carriage.* "Well, here's your stop, I hope you enjoyed travelling 'Cross Country Kore', now please watch your step as you dismount your seat." *His faced was turning red as he tried to hide his laughter. A few seconds later he was doubled over laughing so hard that tears rolled down his eyes.

He took a deep breathe then held his hand out again.* "Anexia, it was a pleasure to make your acquaintance, but I really must get going, I have a long day ahead of me."

EDIT: ((ooc: I know  ))

Anexia had to admit, she too had a little fun for herself and some action. She tried forgetting that she killed a man today but it was all good for her. At least she now knows no one will come stalking her around. Which she did get that feeling. Really, she hadnt killed in a long time. But when Kore began to speak, Anexia blushed a little and took of with Kore, on their way to Taras now. Yesh. Me had fun! Hee hee! Anexia giggled and had a bumpy ride with Kore and his Nightmare.

When they got there Anexia bursted out laughing when Kore had held his hand out to let her off his Nightmare. Anexia held his hand as she got off and giggled. She hadnt really laughed like that in a long while. She had a good time with Kore that night and it was one she wouldnt forget. Silly Kore! Course I had fun! Haha! Well thank you for ze ride! heh...see ya then. With that Anexia waved back to Kore and she had currently entered the tavern that she asked to go to.

(OOC: Silly you! :P )
