Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Nestled within a rocky crevace, Tarì was curled into a small ball. It was close to night fall and the sky was a pink-purple color, painting the rocks pink around her. It was getting cold and she was lost and in quite a perdicament. She had left in the morning only intending to go for a short walk to clear her mind of troubles and negative energy. But as her feet moved and she got further into her mind she lost all track of time. She wasnt even watching where she was going when she triped on a rock and fell head over heals into this crevace she was now in.

She was a bit banged up and may have broken her arm in the fall but that wasnt what scared her. what scared her was that with a broken arm she wasnt able to get out nor was she able to draw an arrow to defend herself. She smelled of the blood that was running down her face, legs and arms, this would surly be something to get the attention of a hungry beast. She hoped that someone that was kind would come along and help her but in the mountains thats never a sure thing. Anything and anyone could have been lurking out there and she knew it.

Eden was flying in the heights of the Dragon Spine mountains. He was tracking down a small dragon for game. Earlier that week, he entered a competition in Taras City to see who could get the mightiest game. Eden thought to himself that a dragon would win him a great prize and a good reputation and some respect from the villagers. Eden did some research on where he could find the small dragon species and discovered them to be hiding here, in the mountain range. He was glad he had wings to carry him in the air, the path that extended into the mountain was a nasty looking one. There were drops to point where Eden could not even see any more. He looked down as he was flying and spotted a large reptile creature. It was walking on two hind legs and seemed to be of some intelligence. Eden floated down to behind a large boulder and watched it. The creature came to a crevice in the ground and started sniffing. The spines on its back flung up and were now sticking out. Eden had a strong feeling that something was in that crack that was not meant to be eaten. Eden ran to the creature with his mace in one hand. He was screaming at the top of his lungs and scared it away.

As the reptilian creature ran away, Eden walked over to the crevice and peered down into it. There was a woman in there! Eden immediately strapped in his mace to his side and leaped down to where the poor stranger was. He slid down side of the crevice and landed near the woman. He dent his knee and kneeled beside her. She looked banged up and bloody. Eden worried for her, so he mumbled a few words in the ancient tongue and a small white orb of light came from his mouth and into her chest. It was the heal spell. He placed his hand on her forehead and prayed over her. He was mumbling under his breath and then said,

“I do not know if you understand me, but you will be okay. I will be healing you right now, you will now be in my care until you are good to go. My name is Eden.”

She had seen the creature at the top of the crevace peering down at her and had paniced. As a voice shouted out she felt relief. The pain in her arm was almost unbarable. She knew she looked pale from the loss of blood. Licking her dry, cracked and bloodied lips she watch as a man came floating down into the crevace on wings to help her. He spoke some incantations in a tounge that was unknown to her. As the orb of light came out of his mouth and into her chest she knew it was a healing spell. She had the talent to do it herself but couldnt do it to herself. He flet her forhead which she knew must have been hot to the touch. He spoke and she did understand.

She looked at him, licked her lips and said, I thank you for your kindness Eden. My name is Tarì.

The healing spell was slowly taking affect and she was feeling a bit better. The pain wasnt as bad as it had been although it would still take a bit of time for her to heal compleatly. She shifted slightly and grimanced as pain shot up het spine.

Eden now held this poor woman in his arms. Tears were forming in his eyes as he was praying for her. He did not like to see the good to be in conditions such as this. He brought her head to his chest and chanted another spell of heal. With greater effort this time, the orb of light came from of his mouth and into her chest. The orb of light was larger this time and with some rings of a mist looking substance orbiting around it. As soon as the heal spell made contact with her chest, it expanded through her entire body, making her glow a soft white for only a second.

Eden lowered her head and let her rest I the bottom of the crevice. He did not leave her side, still praying that she would not pass to the other world. To Eden it seemed that her condition was life threatening and she would not make it through the night. Even though he thought this in his mind, he kept a positive attitude and did not let that thought become permanent. Eden looked into her eyes and smiled.

“Hello there. Do not thank me. Thank the gods for their divine intervention. You have been spared from a horrible, suffering death. Please bear with me, but I am not powerful enough to completely stop the pain. I must take out of this whole and to a safer place. I know a summit around these parts and I shall take you there,” said Eden.

“Please, brace yourself. I am going to lift you now.”

Eden placed his hands under her and gently stood up. He was very careful with her, wanting not to harm her even more. He spread his wings and took off. Eden was now looking up into the sky and searching for where the summit might be. He started flying and looked down into her eyes once more and asking,

“How are doing right now? I am not hurting you am I?”

Tarì was confused by this man. Hadnt he already done a healing spell? Why is he doing another one? Why is he crying? It was all very confusing for her. She knew healing spells wouldnt heal everything nor would they help with all the pain. As he did the second heal spell on her she felt a tingling all over. It was stronger than it had been before and lasted longer. She wasnt in nearly as much pain. She felt some of her wounds slowly healing. Some of the scraps that she had managed to obtain on the fall were slowly healing over.

She looked curiously at him as he spoke to her. Where are we going? Her voice was barly a whisper and she didnt know if he had heard her. He must not have. She thought this as he lifted her up. Pain exploded in her arm at the movement but she grit her teeth and bared it.

She had never flown before and she was scared. The only one she trusted enough to fly with was her gryphon, Annatar. But she was in the care of this man and she held on for her life. When he spoke to her she just looked at him bewildered for a moment. She had all but forgotten about the pain. Yes I am fine. Your not hurting me.

Eden smiled when he heard that she was okay. He knew that he must have hurt her when he took off for flight, but he felt good knowing that she would get to safety and to better healing. The wind was cold to Eden's face as they flew. They were above the clouds right now, letting the sun hit them both to try to warm their bodies. He descended and came to a small summit that was hidden from those who did not know its where abouts. Eden soflty landed and still carried her in his arms. There was a small camp fire going and all of his things lay to one side of the flat area. The summit was a small circle of flat ground. It was about thirty feet in diameter. There was a small cave that did not lead too far in but it was good use for shelter when needed.

Eden came to the camp fire and layed Tari on the ground. He left her to his bag that was across the way and opened it. He took out his mortar and pestle, burning tray, and some herbs. Immediately he bagan to make his formulas. Luckily he already had some from when he made them earlier. He set down his things and took out some bandages and vials of his self made formulas. He came over to Tari and looked at her with a smile.

"Bear with me here. This is going to hurt. Before I do anything. I want you to drink this. Trust me it is not going to taste like Honey Ale. Drink it and you will heal faster. I have some bandages to put on to you. There is a formula that I must apply to you. It will sting but I promise you that it will help the screatches and wounds heal and go away really fast. You no even have scars from this."

Eden handed her the vial that contained the replenishing potion. He took the top off of the vial that contained the minor healing balm and soaked the bandages in it. He took her cuts and wounds and wrapped them in the bandage cloth. Eden broke a few sticks and placed them on her arm to act as a cast. He tightly wrapped bandage on her possibly broken arm and tied it into a knot. He was now cleaning her face of the blood that was spread all over. Eden smiled as he happily served the one in need of help.

Tarì looked around when he placed her on the ground. They were in a clearing that seemed like it was cut off from the rest of the world. She saw a cave and thought maybe they were in someplace where the people lived in the mountains. She couldnt remember what the people were called. Her head hurt to much from the fall. She watched Eden work on mixing something. She didnt know what it was but assumed it was for her.

He offered her some liquid that he promised would help her heal. Not really paying much attention she swallowed it in one gulp. It tasted horrble. Like something resembling earwax. She gritted her teeth and swollowed the bile that rose at the back of her throut at the taist. Her Assumptions proved right when he began placing what he had been mixing on her cuts. She grimaced in pain. Whatever it was he was putting on her it stung. When he was placing her arm in the makeshift case she heard a larg snap coming from her arm and she cried out in pain. Her arm had deffinatly been broken. She bit her bottom lip hard to stop from crying out again and drew blood. She had turned white from the pain. Holding on to the real world she faught fainting.

Succeding in not fainting she turned to Eden. I want to thank you for helping me back there. It was very kind of you to help me without even knowing who I am. If there is ever anything I can do for you, you need only to ask.

(OOC: Sorry it took me so long to respond. I havnt been feeling great.)

Eden looked at Tari when she spoke her kind words. He just smiled and lightly nodded his head. He had finished putting the bandages on her. He looked up and noticed that the sky was becoming darker. The sun was just beginning to set and it created a purple and pink glow amongst the clouds. Eden went over to where the cave was and was fixing the wolf skins he had collected over time. They kept him warm when he was cold and shivering. He spread them out so that Tari could rest in them. He went over to go pick Tari up so that he could carry her over to the newly made bed. He set her down and looked into her eyes and said,

“You need not repay me. I do this only out of good will. You were in need of help and so I come to give you what you needed. Stay in here. These skins will keep you warm and safe from the cold. If you need any thing I will be close by. I am going to set a fire for you…. Sleep well my friend.”

Eden walked away from her and brought sticks and twigs over near by her. He set up a new fire. Once he saw that everything was in place, he sat down with his legs crossed Indian style. He placed his hands on his knees and closed his eyes. He began to meditate, listening very closely to anything that Tari had to say. The was gone behind the mountains now. The stars were becoming brighter and brighter in the new night sky. The moon shined nice and bright while the temperature slowly dropped to a chilly and brisk cold.

Hey it is no problemo at all. Dont worry. Take your time.
