| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Jasmine had been walking through the Debon Plains on a path that lead to the Village of Kellen. The sun was beginning to rest on the mountain tops in the distance and the night was coming about. Stars could be seen in the west and Jasmine noticed that the air was beginning to become a little bit chilly. Calphurnia was flying up above in the sky and left a red glow in the air as she effortlessly glided. Jasmine looked up and smiled. She brought her head back down so that her chin was parallel to the ground saw that she was close to the village. Jasmine hastened her pace and reached the small town. She made her way to the local inn and decided that she would stay for the night. Jasmine walked in the building and looked out of the nearest window. She saw that the winds started to pick up and the tree branches were being pushed back by the powerful gusts of air. People were starting to run to their homes and some to the inn, so Jasmine hurried to the clerks desk and paid for a room to stay in. She smiled at the clerk and sat down on one of the bar stools and placed her elbows on the counter. Jasmine asked for a glass of goats milk and tipped the waitress. |

Lindsey had been back and forth in the Village of Kellen. Nowhere to go now since the sky seemed to have darkened in a little while. Lindsey had previously got an attitude with one of the villagers earlier and he wasn’t that great today. The kid was very bad tempered and had remained that way all his life, mainly. Nothing special came to him. Not yet. He still couldn’t put the image in his head, how he had survived all his life. Really, he didn’t know much about his past nor his family members. He might have been the black-sheep but he doubted that. The sky seemed to darken and the moon would have appeared. Lindsey didn’t really think of his past too much, he was more concerned where he would have gone tonight since the weather seemed to drop drastically. A few hours later the sun had been completely down and many windows in the village emitted a pale yellow light, and all though those glows seemed very small in the night now, shapes moved frequently within them, the shapes of villagers watching to see what this night brought. Only snow, is what nature brought them. Others weren’t too happy about this, especially Lindsey. He got real angry and then he did think he would have died that night if he had no shelter. Lindsey had been at the side of ones house. Homeless, no where to stay. But usually he did, and he seldom talked to people at the village and he was deprived from many things now, caused by his temper at Kellen. He most often hung around there, as there was no place else to go. Flakes of snow fell on his soft blue hair and he began to shiver tremendously. He was helpless now but he guessed that is what he deserved for being unkind and ruthless to others. |

Jasmine was now sipping on her drink and she sat comfortably on the bar stool. She looked around in the tavern and found that it was quite empty. Not many people were around in the tavern, not like the one in Taras. She thought of Taras for a short moment and smiled. She was happy that she was finally gone and away from the business of the people, all of the rude attitudes. She closed her eyes and let the calm moment fall in. She turned her head and opened her eyes and saw a boy sitting out in the snow. Her mouth dropped open as she saw that he was shivering in the snow. Jasmine frowned at the fact that no one offered for him to come onto their home. Jasmine thought that the people here in Kellen were kindhearted. Jasmine stood up and looked at the clerk and said, “I will be right back. There is someone out side and they look as they are freezing. I must help them before a cold sickness takes his life.” Jasmine walked to the door and swung it open. A mass amount of snow flakes began to make its way in the tavern as the wind was pushing it in. The gusts were strong and chilling to the bone. She looked at the boy for a moment and smiled. She extended her hand and said, “Come here. Get inside before you catch a sickness. It is foolish to stay out there in this type of weather. Come quickly. I will buy you a hot drink.” |

Not very many new people that came to Kellen knew to much about Lindsey and his habits. The reason this was, is because Lindsey had just recently looked at the girl, he just swung his eyes at her, he didn’t move his head. He just looked at her, and obviously she had no clue to who he was. Soon she would have gotten the vague face others gave him. But it didn’t matter, he could in fact put up with anything and argue forever if he wanted to. But the girl had offered him a drink, it was too good to pass up. But he did wait stubbornly for her to speak once more just to irritate her. Funny how he got around things. He looked at her strangely and waited for her to talk once more. He was cold and he really didn’t know how long it would last, how long it would take for her to speak once more. Lindsey rolled his eyes at her, and thought that if she really insisted then he didn’t mind. He was just cold right now and he usually got fevers for being outside like this. You obviously have no clue to who I am. Don’t you. If you really insist on getting me a drink then go ahead. I really don’t mind. But when you see things get really out of control don’t blame me.A soft, but calm rudeness he had talked to the girl. Of course it had been noticeable the way he had talked to her. But this was an ordinary talk from Lindsey. He got up and walked. He passed the girl that came up to him. Lindsey had no intention on waiting on her. He directly walked in the tavern and took a seat at one of the tables. He noticed when he walked in that one of the barmaids had rolled his eyes over at Lindsey. Right now he took a seat and waited for the girl to come in and do what she had said. But what Lindsey had just done was plain mean, and not too proper. He would have to work on his manners with the ladies a little bit more. |

Jasmine rolled her eyes and slamed the door shut as he walked passed her. She did not at all appreciate the rudeness that he showed her. She was the on who was offering him a warm stay and a drink. Jasmine turned around walked back to where she was sitting. She sat next to the young man and then looked at the bar maid, she gave her some silver and paid for his drink. Jasmine turned on her barstool and said, "I paid enough for you to drink anything you want. It is on me. Just so you know, you should show more manner toward the person who offers you a drink. I truely do not appreciate your attitude." Jasmine turned around again so that her back was facing him. She held her goblet and sipped at her drink. |

Lindsey looked very surprised at what the girl did. He never expected for her to buy him a drink after what he just did. Others just thought wouldn’t offer no more and thought he was a complete ass. Which he really was at times, but he did struggle through life and all he ever wanted was to see his sister again. All he wanted was to hear that she was doing well and that she was still alive. Lindsey almost gave up hope and would stop searching if he never found her. Lindsey sighed deeply and didn’t know what gotten into him when he was rude to the girl. She was right, he did need to show a little respect and some appreciation towards her. She was kind enough to go ahead and buy him a drink anyway. "Im sorry. Thanks for the drink though. I don’t know what wrong with me....Im so stupid I cant even find my own sister. Im lost right now and have no clue what Im doing. But anyway, thanks for the drink though. Im sorry for earlier. But Im just like that a lot of times." Lindsey looked down at his drink and closed his eyes as he sighed once more. He hoped that would have done it. But wasn’t so sure if she forgave him. He thanked her, he stood quiet, he took a drink from his cup. He rolled his eyes, and gave the barmaid a rude look. He was very annoyed right now, but no one knew why. |

Jasmine sat there on her bar stool smiling at him. She forgave him for acting the way he did nearly right after he walked through the door. Jasmine took another sip of her drink and looked at the boy while he spoke to her. She smiled even more when he apologized. She looked down into her cup and noticed that the drink was no more and asked the barmaid for some more. The old lady walked up to her and smiled. She tool the cup away and began to clean it. Jasmine turned in her seat as the old maid gave her a new cup filled with goat's milk. Jasmine continued to look at the boy and thought to herself how he reminded her of someone, though she could not quite grasp on who he reminded her of. "I forgave you the moment you passed me when you came. I closed the door to the inn and I shrugged it off of my shoulders. It was no big deal. So everything is okay. I accept your apology. Have some more beverages if you would like. I am sorry to hear about your sister. That must be very straining on the heart and feelings." Jasmine quickly turned and drank out of her cup. She reminded herself of the loss of her brother. Memories were now flooding her mind so she shook her head to relieve herself of the pain. Jasmine had a small tear in her eye but wiped it away and acted as though she had something stuck in her eyelid. |

Lindsey swung his eyes rapidly towards Jasmine, it seemed as if somthing was wrong. Lindey acted like he never saw it and looked back into his drink. He took a big gulp and finished. He might have thought it was innappropriate to ask, but he really wanted some alcohol. He didnt ask though, it was rude and it was low to ask somthing like that. He heard everything she said now and he grew a smile on his face. She had accepted his apology. It was a weird feeling for Lindsey because he never really smiled like he just did, no; not in a long time. It was ages since that ever happened. Lindsey stood silent for a while. A strange feeling came to him. Why would he smile? It was his first in such a long time. Lindseys smile faded and now had a serious face on him.Yes it is, I guess. Your name? Whats your name? Lindsey was meaning to ask this for some time now and he stood very still and silent about this, he began to uncomfortable with himself. That smile was a different one from all the others. He shook his head and sighed. Somthing was wrong. Anything could have happened, Lindsey would have gotten spontaneous and there was no telling what would have happened next. A serious face remained and he wanted answers quick. He thought alot about his sister at the moment, and she was the only person Lindsey shared things with. Well....most of the time. He hasnt seen her in such a long time and was impatient already. It was all he ever wanted right now. He looked at the girl he was with, even she didnt know what to expect of Lindsey. She knew nothing about him, didnt know that he was a very destructive person. Eventually she would have to find that out sooner or later. |

Jasmine looked down her cup and decided that she did not want to drink any more. She set the mug down on the counter at which she was sitting at. She rested her elbows on the wooden counter and her head in her hands. She was tired and ready to go to sleep. Jasmine thought to herself if she should tell this stranger her name or not. It was hard for her to trust people. She did not make it easy for her self to trust others. Jasmine always reminded her self of all of the people who have ever betrayed her. That is what was keeping her from trusting others so easily. She looked down on the goblet she had set down earlier and droplets or water forming on the outside of the glass. Jasmine finally looked at the strange boy and decided that she would not tell him her name. Instead she got a funny look on her face and was determined on getting his name first. She did not want him to know her name before told his. Jasmine crossed her legs and folded her hands and placed them on her lap. She looked at him and asked, "Please, I do prefer that you reveal your name to me first. I just want to know it before I let you know mine." |

The girl Lindsey was with did seem a little sleepy and tired. Either that or she had just had a rough day. He really wanted to know her name first but if she insisted then that was not really a big problem. Lindsey sat there for a little while, silently still. He hardly ever moved. He took in a few deep breaths and began to speak to her. Well if you really insist then its fine with me. No biggie! My name is Lindsey. How are you? Now then, like I said! Whats your name? Lindsey kept his straight face and he grew a little serious with his attitude now. He waited patiently on her to give him a name. Lindsey got a little thirsty again but he really didnt want to ask for anymore. It was a little wrong for him to ask for more and he didnt feel right getting drinks that she paid off. For now he waited for her name to be said. [really sorry for being gone this long. Really am. I was busy with lots of things and had a busy week.] |

Jasmine’s eyes widened as he stated his name. It was Lindsey. That name seemed awfully familiar to her. In fact, it was frightening that she hear that name again. Jasmine set her goblet on the counter at which she was at. She nearly dropped it as she was now shaking. Now that she was coming to think of it, he did seem very familiar to her. It was as though she had known him all her life. No! This could not be! Jasmine thought to herself. It was impossible. Could this be Jasmine’s brother? No. He died a long time ago. He was murdered by an evil man. He died at the sword of evil and blight. Jasmine looked down to the ground, fighting tears from her eyes as the memories were now flooding her head. She looked back up to his eyes and asked, “What did you say your name was? Tell me please. Was your father a nobleman? Did you used to live in a place called Laurudy?” Hey its no problem. I do it too.

In a rapid succession, Lindsey was being asked questions. Questions about his past. But how did she know all this? Lindsey figured that there was only one way to find out. Lindsey couldnt figure out if it was fear in her eyes or if it was it was just as a shocking moment right now. It looked like she wanted to cry, but Lindsey had a bewildering look on his face. He wasnt sure what was going on right now but he guessed that answering her questions right now would help alot. ....I said my name was.....Lindsey. And yes my father was a nobleman, he died a long time ago in a place called Laurudy. So I guess that answers your question about me living in Laurudy. But how do...how do you know this...? Lindsey was still confused. Maybe this girl had lived there once too. He had no clue, just the fact that he felt wierd right now because for some reason she knew lots about him. Lindsey looked back at his past. Nothing but a bleak world, and it's land was destroyed. Lindsey kept thinking more and more. It had just struck him, this would have been his sister he was looking for the whole time. Just the name, he needed her name to see if it fit his description as well. Lindsey let her talk now, just to get more information on things. He needed to figure somthing out now. Im not so sure on this post. I might have messed up. But if you see somthing that does not make sense, then just say somthing and I will fix it.

Jasmine could no longer fight it, tears had come from her eyes and down her cheek. Her eyes were so filled with tears that she could not see in front of her. Her vision was blurred so she wiped it away. The bar maid was looking at her with concern but then just walked away. Jasmine looked down to the ground, feeling as though she could not look into his eyes. It was weird to her, she felt like she was looking at a ghost. Jasmine managed to get her composure back and looked into his eyes. She looked at him for what seemed to be forever. She tried to tell him but the words would not come out. Her bottom lip was trembling and she was on verge of crying once more. With trouble in speaking, Jasmine managed to say, “My name…. is … Jasmine. Jasmine Sparta.” Jasmine all of a sudden got very light headed. She felt like she was going to pass out with in the next minute. The room was spinning around her and her stomach was growling at her. She was sick all of a sudden and she might have to leave to her room right away if she did not get any better. |

Lindsey didnt really know what to do anymore. Jasmine had been crying already and the only thing left to do was to just try and talk to her and calm her emotions. When Lindsey found out that her name was Jasmine, Lindsey knew this was her sister. But it had been a miracle. But did he really find his sister? Was this really her? The only way to find out was to try and get more information. But it seemed as if the girl had somthing big in mind. Her tears bursted out of her eyes. Lindsey really didnt know what to think anymore. Lindsey placed a hand on her shoulder and tried to talk to her but he did it in a calm voice. Hey. Listen. Maybe we could get a room and try and talk this out in a private place. I dont really know if its ok to talk about this in public. But we do need to talk about a lot of things. I-For some reason....I have this feeling that you might be someone that I know. Someone I have been searching for a long time now. Jasmine please dont cry. Lindsey would have been more surprised about all of this but he still was not sure to be exact. More was needed to be said before he could go out and say that he had found his sister. Hopefully she had a room already so that they could talk more about this rather than talking it out in public. Lindsey did kind of knew that she was related to him, from all the stuff she knew about him and the name fit the description as well. He knew he found someone important to him. |

Jasmine brought her head back up and wiped the tears away from her eyes. They were all puffy now and her face was sore from the tears. Her cheeks were wet and her nose now runny. Jasmine looked around and tried to see if anyone had noticed her sobbing. No one seemed to even pay any attention to thee two. She looked back at Lindsey and smiled. She already reserved a room for herself to sleep in that night. Her next travel was far away and the weather was too dangerous for her to take off. She was thinking to herself earlier that day she might have to stay in for a couple of days. The snow was horrible to the people outside. It was turning into a blizzard. Jasmine stood to her feet, her nose still running and her eyes sore. She looked at the bar maid across the tavern and met her eyes. She came over and Jasmine paid her. She tipped the old woman and then looked at Lindsey. A smile came about her face, but it was weak. Jasmine stared at him for a moment in disbelief and then said, “Come on. Let us go upstairs and we will discuss thing in the lobby.” Jasmine turned around and walked the stairs that led her to the lobby. There were chairs in small sections of the room that surrounded small round tables. She walked across the room and looked down the hall that would take her to the room she rented for the night. Jasmine took a seat and plopped down onto it. She was no longer tired. All of that emotion that ran through her energized her. She did not even look at Lindsey and said, “I can not believe that you are alive. I saw him kill you. You fell to the ground and he pointed that sword to your neck. He brought it down and stabbed you in the chest. I was hiding… I did not know what to do. I was under the table. I did not know what to do. People were screaming outside. I saw the light of fire from the windows and heard building fall to their foundation. The city was falling apart and on top of that, our parents were murdered and then you were dying. I remember him searching for me, but the gods were on my side and he did not find me. When he left, I went to you. Do you remember what I said to you? You lost so much blood I am sure that you don’t remember. I watched you die. I was broken down to nothing.” Jasmine could no longer speak. She had no more to say. She could not even cry any more. |
