Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit.

Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own.

In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins.

There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free.

Many windows in the village emitted a pale yellow light, and all though those glows seemed very small in the night now, shapes moved frequently within them, the shapes of villagers watching to see what this night brought. Walking outside in Kellen Lindsey felt a cold wind pass through this village and he began to only shiver for some time now, but then it stopped. Odd, because that never really happened. He walked around a little more and sat on a large boulder, and he sat there thinking of nothing. Nothing really came to his head and all he could see was the foggy weather. He could barley see what was infront of him, but only those lights shined so brightly that Lindsey was able to see them. Lindsey sighed, he didnt expect anyone to talk to him, especially at this point in time. But things were too unsuspected these days and just about anything would have happened just then. He looked off straight into his distance and saw the path that lead the way out of Kellen and its fogginess once more. The trees aound the location seemed almost black just then and he turned his attention now the homes. He really didnt have nothing to do, he didnt want to go in the inn that they had and he really didnt want to do anything. He just waited there for no reason at all, and sat there on the rock, looking straight into the ground.

Diaclone traveled steedly but tiredly at the same time. He'd been traveling for days now and was hoping to come to a city where he could rest. He look from out of the woods and a foggy little village caught his attention. He slowly approached the village in hope that he can find a place to rest and maybe someone to talk to, days of being byself in woods often causes a bit of lonelyness in himself and he could feel it. As he entered to the city he found person siting on a rock seemingly waiting for him it seemed. No the less, he walked up to the man and attempted to start a conversation..."Hello there, aweful day, isn't it?"

Looking straight into the ground now, he heard a voice increasing in distance. Someone wanted, or so it seemed, to start a conversation with Lindsey. He rudely rolled his eyes up, but he knew the person wouldn’t be able to see what he had just gestured, since the fog began to build up and increase greatly. It was odd because, weather couldn’t have passed by that fast. Someone was behind all of this and it couldn't have been nature. Someone had been lurking around, spying on him. He really didn’t have this in mind right now and he turned his head to the presence near him. He wondered if he should be a little nice on purpose and then mislead him to things others wouldn’t like. The fog around them was already getting quite annoying and Lindsey was getting a little temper now.

Yes it is awful but really annoying if you ask me. But as you can tell this isn’t natures work that is causing this. Some one around here is being stupid and acting like a child.Lindsey tightly pressed down on his teeth and really felt like injuring someone. This was quite enough and nothing but! He sighed deeply and heavily. He could barley see the person confronting him now. But then for a second, he though if he should be a little nice on purpose. But of course that would be very hard for a kid like Lindsey. He wasn’t very good at being a nice guy but then at other times he could have been the nicest kid in the world but then at a seconds notice he could have gone very bad tempered and destroy any surrounding in chaos.

WHAT are you doing here, do you just go up to some random kid, you know, take a pick and just spontaneously talk out a conversation!! Is that your idea and your point here! This he could no longer take and his temper was getting set loose. He had just talked to the person rudely and treated him unfair. to him it was an "Oh well" he really didn’t care what else. But he also didn’t mind a conversation right now. Anything to stop him from getting out of control, it would have to be a conversation to keep him from setting loose and get destructive.

Diaclone was striken by the sudden rashness of the person he had tried to polite too. He guessed that the person in front of him was not in a good mood, but he'd try to make conversation anyway. Besides he knew he liked challenges and this trying to calm this person down would be a challange.

The fog was so thick now he couldn't see what the person really looked like and wasn't exactly sure how to refer to the person. Oh well I'll just be general he thought.

"Hey Hey now. Chill out man I'm just trying to be courtous. It's not that I just pick people randomly, it's just I like to meet people and your were the only one I could see when I entered the village. Hey, this fog is pretty bad, what do you say we got to the inn, where it may be, and have a nice drink or bite to eat?"

Lindsey heard the boy clear, but then of course he shouldn’t really be called boy. This person might have been older than he. While he listened to him, Lindsey took off his glasses and rubbed the fog out of them with the bottom of his shirt. He slipped them back on and then thought about what this man had said. It was tempting to refuse his offer and such, but why waist someone time now at this time of night. Usually Lindsey did that a lot, it was often that he wasted others precious time, but this man just didn’t give up on his conversation. Lindsey thought he'd give it a try and accept the guy's offer but he was getting so close on rejecting the man with rudeness.

IF IT MAKES YOU HAPPY!! I really don’t mind if that’s the case. I really don’t. This was the nicest he had ever been when he was in bad moods like the one he had now. But then people did have to get over it, but at other times they did runaway from him and because he had been so rude they attempted to hurt him. But it was the other way around for them. Lindsey usually dominated others at times. But he was aggressive. The moonlit night had started to get a little cold and Lindsey got up to his feet and began heading to the inn that he had seen. On his way, something very unusual and unsuspecting occurred at the time. A black horse and a man dressed in solid pitch black passed the village and a rapid pace, and headed towards the path that lead the way out of Kellen. Lindsey paused vaguely and a vacant face spread within. He stood there not frightened but wonder what that had been. He grew speechless and stood there like a statue now. He even forgot that the man had been with him.

Diaclone was starting to get use to this person's, who voice he now distinguished to be that of a boys, rudeness just as he started being nice. Diaclone followed silently as the boy started heading towards the inn and didn't make any objection since he knew not where he was going anyway.

Just as they were walking along a man furnished in black attire and mounted on a horse as black as night rushed passed the pair with great celerity. Diaclone instinitivily reached for his sword in defense but quickly regained his calm since the mysterious phantom had long passed. He slowly turned his attention back to his new aquantence and noticed that he seemed awestruck and totally oblivious to Diaclone's existance.

With polite tap on the soldier he tried to get the attention of the stranger he had just came to meet. " Hello though, I hate to interupt you in your musings but I really wanna get inside and don't know where the inn is. If you no longer wish to carry on our attempted conversation could ya atleast point me to in the inn's direction.?"

Lindsey wanted to just shout at the man. He rolled his eyes up once more and moved his glasses upwards by the side. He sighed heavily and heard that the man was getting insistent on heading down to the inn. He was being rude once more to the person. He had gave him an attitude.Well if its any obvious to you, where is the only place you see here with the lights on. Obviously its that place over at the corner! He liked being rude and messing with this person, but it seemed like he really didn’t mind. Lindsey could careless right now. He began to make way once more to the inn, but then flashbacks of the night rider came to him. It didn’t haunt him just an unexpected vision to see in person. This, he would eventually have in his head throughout the night.

Lindsey slammed the door open when he arrived. The people there were so surprised at such an entrance Lindsey made. The barmaid that worked there started to complain and then in the background something caught Lindsey's ears. He shunned the mans voice and listened carefully to what a few men were saying a few tables down. It seemed to him that they knew about the night rider that had been out. Lindsey began to walk away while the man had been lecturing him about being polite. He kept talking and then he neared the table, the barmaids voice began to fade as he was now on the other side of the room. He took a seat on a table and waited for the man to sit.
Well, ...aren’t you ever going to sit instead of standing around like you own the place!! Lindsey began to laugh when he got the thought now that he had just walked off from the barmaid after a lecture. Not a care in the world to what he said. It was just as annoying to the person he was with. But this one gave him no choice.

Diaclone started moving towards the table where the boy had sat and slowly sat down, partly due to his agitation of the past events. Oh well he thought could be worse. Hmm, I have introduced myself to this young man. I probably should.

"Interesting that barmaid is, by the way my name is Diaclone, what is yours?"

Lindsey was now getting annoyed, beyond annoyed. The guy now wanted an introduction. Well this soft sweet introduction would have to wait. Right now Lindsey suspected somthing. The night rider that had passed by, it was very unusual. Someone was planning on an attack and it wouldnt be pretty. Lindsey didnt care much about the people in the inn so he kept his mouth shut for now.
He decided to go with this introduction the man wanted on.

Ok then, now you want an introduction. Whats wrong with you! Oh well, you really gave me no choice then did you! My name is Lindsey, and thats all anyone needs to know!

Lindsey stood quiet the rest of that moment he had been there.
Not another word came from the teen. He was really suspecting somthing.

Diaclone again was shocked at Lindsey's, or so he called himself, rudeness. He could tell now that something was upsetting him and didn't want to agitate him any more. Even his
tolerance had it's limits. I have know what's going on though, he thought to himself.

"Somethings wrong, isn't it? Does it have to do with that mysterious rider that flew by us?" Diaclone nearly wispered to Lindsey.

Lindsey had heard enough come out of him. He just looked at him as if he were stupid. He stared at him and his eyes just focused on him. He turned his attention now to something else. If this person would just stop asking so many ridiculous questions right now maybe Lindsey wouldn’t take it so hard on him. Lindsey knew there was going to be an attack on the inn, or maybe throughout Kellen. Lindsey got up hurriedly to his feet. He was going to take refuge out in the forest some place.

GET UP!! NOW! Lets go.Lindsey had now began to walk through the back of the tavern and exit the back door that they had. Before anything else Lindsey wanted a little fun before he left. He found that the men that were talking about the night rider had also been drinking. He grabbed the mans glass in an instant and chunked it at the wall near them. The men had gotten angry and got up complaining and yelling at Lindsey all at once.

One of the men went up to him, Lindsey pointed at the entrance door without a word being said. A loud knock was heard now on the entry door. Lindsey stood with this man behind a wall peeking out of whole that had been made. No one answered the door as they thought it was some one similar to Lindsey. The door flung open in a rapid succession and it had been one of the night riders. He held this giant jagged blade. Anything could have gone through that blade if anyone made contact with it.

Lindsey hurried out the back door and a little commotion was heard. One of the riders knew that someone had left but didn’t expect a teen. The rider had sliced through everything in its way in the moonlit night, and a few people died that night and Lindsey was one of the few that lived from his rapid escape.
Meanwhile Lindsey and this man that called himself Diaclone had ran off in the foggy night of Kellen. The moons glow was the only source of light they had, but that was only so little that it hardly illuminated the place. Ran faster and faster in a fast pace and turned back to see if Diaclone still followed and if he was even fast enough. They were now headed to Norwood and seek refuge there.

Back at the inn, the riders had left that place to destruction and caused lots of mayhem. They had burned that place now and the villagers woke up to see the Green Gryphon gone. Lots of angry villagers dashed themselves outside not knowing who had been behind all this. The riders had left the seen way before anyone got up. They had vanished then. The Green Gryphon burned to ashes now and lots were sad by how many of the villagers died and lots were angry for both the burning corpse and the destruction caused at the inn.

Lindsey still running faster and faster he looked behind him before any of the riders spotted them.
HURRY!!QUICK, just a little faster!
With all the energy and speed in him nothing could stop him. He had a feeling that they were going to be going face to face with a rider soon. But all that he was worried about now is refuge. Lindsey could now feel the burning sensation on the back of his legs for how fast his pace was. He slowed down for now, giving the other guy a rest. Hopefully now the riders wouldn’t spot him. And if they did, it only meant one thing. They were after Lindsey or they were after Diaclone.

Diaclone was getting quite flustered after all this running and decided that resting would be good, especially since a confrontation with this dark riders would probably be inevitable.

Knowing Lindsey's thoughts, Diaclone escaped to this thoughts wondering if there'd be a reason these riders were after him. Regardless he knew he'd probably have to fight and thus readied himself so.

Carefully he surveyed the are around them looking for something that my hint off an attacker. Wondering if one of these dark riders knew where they were or not.

Lindsey slowed himself down completely and actually stopped to catch some breath of his own. His lungs were burning and Lindsey's deep breath's could be heard. He voice was raspy and rough.Ok, quiet down some you don’t want to advertise us to those riders.Lindsey bent over and rested his hands on his knee's while he stood there. Still catching his breath he heard leaves crunch down on the soft humid dirt and heard leaves move on the branches. It could have been nothing but to be safe Lindsey went up quickly to the man, he stood behind him with his hand covered over his mouth.Shhhhh.... when I say go, were going to make our way out of here.Lindsey whispered silently into his ear and didn’t make a move nor a sound. The noise could still be heard, but anything was possible.

Moments later Lindsey's adrenaline had fleeted and the noises they had been hearing were gone. Lindsey let go of the mans mouth. He began to walk his way back to the a large willow he had seen when they were speeding their way out of Kellen. He would take refuge there until the day came. Lindsey began to walk hastily down the other path. The path he had taken to get to the willow was dark enough so that he couldn’t see. Lindsey searched his backpack and pulled out his lamp. It illuminated a small portion around them but it was enough to see ahead of them. He kept walking nothing was impossible right now.

Diaclone was on his toes now. His samurai training was starting to kick in since danger was most likely all around them. Diaclone wasn't exactly sure where Lindsey was taking him but he felt as if he could trust him. He knew better then to say something right now and decided not to question him.

I'm hoping that a fight won't have to be necisary. I really don't want to hurt anyone but if this new enemy is I may have to slay him, he thought to himself.

The memories of the last time he had faced a oponent who was evil at hurt flood back to his mind and the dreadfully memory of how he started losing control his angelic side and the desire to erradicate all evil started taking over his mind, whether the being had evil intentions or not, he just wanted to destroy all that was touched by evil. This time he was just hoping a fight would not insue.
