| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Zero had been in the Debon plains for some time now and he had been wanting to go to Kellen since he was last there. He made his way there already and it was a long walk. Zero had to cross over large hills and had been exhausted at some point. It took forever, and ever and his hair got in his face alot. His bangs were the main problem. But that, he was not too worried about. His legs were already shaky and he began to swelter out in the heat. But the sun had set and and Zero knew at nights, the wind would come and refresh him. Zero had been walking uphill now and when he got to the top he noticed to see somthing, that made his eyes widen. His eyes grew big and he was astonished to see that Kellen had been a few miles forth. Zero sat down on the hill top for now, and waiting for the sun to set. He would infact wait till night came to feel the cool breeze like always. He looked down at Kellen and noticed to see the lamps lit up and the windows could be seen through. Lights were out but some were still on. Zero sighed happily that he had made it. For now he sat there with his arms wrapped around his legs that came up to his chest. His sheath had been dropped along with all his personal belongings and watched the sun go down. |

Lamya had been traveling the long road for what seemed like days. The heat was becoming incredibly unbearable and Lamya was tired. She decided to rest awhile. Her mind restlessly went over her plans again and again. She would go to Kellen and apply to become a maid for the owner of the village. Once she gained the families’ trust, she would wait until one day when they were all gone and steal them blind. Now she knew that if she left them alive, her picture would be posted everywhere. So she would have to poison their last meal. It would be simple. She already had the herbs and all she needed was to buy a maid’s dress and wait for them to come to her. If she seemed too ecstatic about obtaining the job, they would be immediately suspicious. But if she seemed unenthusiastic, they would think she didn’t care. So she would have to walk a very fine line to get into their good graces. The sun began to set and the wind cooled her sweaty skin. She laid back and stared into the sky, praying that everything would go alright on the job. The last job she had taken, she’d almost gotten caught. She had to flee the town without the gold, which was her biggest disappointment. But she had bounced back, bought information, and here she was, ready to take on another job. This one rated a moderate on her scale of hardness. She’d had worse jobs and had planned worse things. But this would get her enough cash to last awhile so she could maybe head out to Cascadia and take a vacation. It had been too long since she’d had the time to rest and relax without worrying someone would recognize her. |

The sun had gone down completely now after a few hours. The wind came to refresh him more than enough. He regained his energy and was no longer in exhaution. He laid there on the grassy surface, opened his eyes and saw the night blue sky and the stars twinkling. He picked up his sheath as he lay there, he pulled out his sword and tossed the sheath aside. He swung his sword gently and softly as he remained lying there. His worries had gone away and was just hungry, plain hungry. His journey from Debon to Kellen, he had only ate once a day, and make his supplies last, but lucky enough for him, he managed to survive. His Angelic blade was now shining off the stars and he could see the stars reflection of the blade of his sword. He had put his sword back in its thick sheath and got up and shook himself off. He would now approach Kellen. He went down and time seemed to be fast, either that or he got there because of his fast pace. But when he had entered all the lamps were lit and a golden light could be seen through every window he passed. The village would all be asleep right now but the tavern wouldnt. Zero walked around, remembering where the tavern last was when he last visited. As he walked he saw a girl, seemingly as if she were up to something. As if she had her own pranks and her own games. Zero paid no attention to her for now but he kept on the tavern. Zero found the tavern, and entered, the nice, peaceful silence as usuall when he walked in. Either that or the drunks would have been their loudest. But today was a calm day at the tavern. Zero noticed an empty table off the corner of his eye, and approached to sit. He sat there with his hands verticaly on the table, holding his head up. He sat there hoping everything was nice tonight. A man came up to him to serve him some juice he asked for when he first walked in. Thanks! Zero said in a soft tone. The man walked off back to his location and Zero drank a few sips from his glass. He looked at the window that stood beside him and the very same girl he saw earlier was still wandering around. He looked back at his drink holding on to it with both hands. And wondered somthing. But things were to twisted for him to be thinking and wondering so hard. He looked out once more and noticed that some people had turned out their lights and that the doors were now locked as usual. He picked up his glass and drank the rest away. Zero was too tired right now to do anything. Hopfully he would run into one of his freinds in Kellen but he doubted himself too much. He grew bored and carved a little picture on the wooden table with a sharp metal pick he had from his last fight with Zorgn. He moved his glass to the side and closed his eyes a bit and sat there hoping, this is one he'll do. |

Lamya watched a strange man walk into a tavern. She felt it would be a good idea if she were to make herself known to the locals to gain a good reputation. She did not know if the man was a resident of Kellen, but she figured she could still give it a try. She pushed her hair away from her eyes and hid her weapons in some bushes. She figured she would not need them for now. She slowly followed the man in a few minutes after he had seated himself. A bar maid brought him what seemed to be juice. It made things a lot easier if he was a drinking man, but she could not care less. She walked into the tavern and situated herself a few tables away from him so she could get a good look. He seemed to be on a mission of some sorts. She hoped he would not be able to tell her true nature. The bar maid came over to her and Lamya politely waved her away. She hoped the man would buy her a drink. Of course she wouldn’t order and alcoholic beverage for that would give him a bad impression. She would simply ask to have whatever it was he was drinking. If he did not approach her soon, she would politely walk over to him and engage in conversation about the weather. It had been a trick she had been perfecting over the years. It was simple, light talk that got people into trusting the other. She would appear to be slightly ignorant to the world’s horrors and hopefully the man would ask her to accompany him wherever he planned on going. |

Zero sat there still wondering and he looked outside once more and saw the girl approach the tavern. He wanted to know now what she was up to. Though Zero had no time to waist on fighting or any of that. He was too tired to do anything right now. What he wanted was a nice comfy bed right about now. But he still sat there on the hard wooded chair tucked in the table. The girl had now made her way in the tavern and Zero now pretended to not have even noticed her in the first place, he payed no attention to any detail present for now. He looked at the barmaid and he automatically came to him. Refill please! The man grabbed his glass and silently went back to refill his glass. When the girl wasn’t looking, Zero swung his eyes at her and scanned her for a moment. Then turned back to the man that had came back with his drink. Zero still wondered what he could have done, but things were too late. He looked out once more and saw that trustworthiness houses were now asleep. The lights in the windows were no longer visible and midnight must've came already. It seemed to him as if the girl wanted something from him but he wasn’t too sure of it. It was as if she wanted to get to know some one around here for once, but Zero was in no condition to talk right about now. Something in his mind was racing around his head but couldn’t think straight. All he wanted was to go back to the Academy and teach but that would have to wait till sunrise. His students might have been asleep right now, and the magister’s at the Academy of Magic must've had their midnight session by now. He wasn’t too sure of himself right now. He then stared at his glass of juice and stared a little more. He took a big gulp from his drink and then he slammed it back down on the sturdy table. Zero would remain sitting where he was at, and wouldn’t move an inch just yet. He looked at the barmaids and they seemed to have been trying to get things done simultaneously, but to Zero he could care less right now. He glanced at the girl once more, very odd, but it seemed as if she was having the same as Zero. He was at times mistrustful but then there would be times when he found trustworthiness in lots of people. He finished that last of his drink and waited for the man to come back and pick it up. The barmaid came when Zero called out to him but he remained there on the still chair. After just thinking about Academy's he began to think about Anya and how she was doing. It has been sometime now since they last seen each other and Zero missed her deeply. His destination was now of course something he now had in mind. He would take a break from training the students weaponry at the Academy and search for his love. He really wanted to be with her right now. Anya. Lots was on his mind just then but then he realized that he couldn’t quit training at the Academy, he had a passion for both fire, weaponry, Anya. But Zero had been thinking ahead of time right now. He needed to stay focused for once. He sat there, hopefully the girl did nothing spontaneous right now. |

The man didn’t seem to be paying any attention to Lamya which unsettled her. She sipped her juice while trying to act nonchalant. It was difficult when her hand began to shake. She took deep breathes and tried to calm herself. The demon within her was becoming impatient. Finally she decided she’d have to approach him. She picked up her glass, smoothed down her dress and walked calmly over to the stranger. She smiled delicately. “Hello sir, is this seat taken? I just feel so venerable all by myself in this big town. See I’m here visiting the sickly because I’m a healer. I was called from my home in the Norwood Forest. It’s so lovely there. The weather is perfect all year ‘round. Wouldn’t you say so?” She didn’t wait for the man to reply and just sat in the chair opposite of him. “I apologize if I’m being too presumptuous in sitting here with you, I’m just a little nervous.” She blushed deeply and looked down at the table. She was a very good actress. The barmaid came over to take the man’s drink and to refill hers. “Oh I see you are drinking the same as me. Don’t you just love juice? It’s really good for you I hear. I need as many vitamins as I can get. I mean just look at this boney arms of mine.” She held up her arm and allowed it to go limp so he wouldn’t see the muscles. She quickly hid her arm again. “I’m sorry that I’ve just been chattering. I’ll hush now and allow you to get a word in.” She smiled and looked the man in the eyes. It was a good trick to look a person in the eyes if you could manage it without deceiving yourself. |

Zero raised an eyebrow at the girl that he had noticed recently around Kellen. He never expected her to sit at the same table as he. Though he wondered at times why everyone was so interested in him. This, he had no clue about. Zero didn’t really talk much while she was there, he mainly had to listen to her. Zero wanted to laugh once she had finished talking, she had said that she had talked to much and it was time for him to speak up. He bit his lip and his teeth pressed tightly on his bottom lip, trying to hide the smile and the burst of laughter that wanted to come out. He eventually succeeded in not laughing and instead his face kept straight making it not so obvious. Zero began to speak up now when he noticed that she had been finished. Well first off you really didn't give yourself a choice there by sitting there in the first place. But no, no ones sitting there for now but you of course. He wanted to just be able to be with Academy right now and nothing else. He could care less of what this lady had to say, but it was nice getting to know some one new. He would at least have to show interest in her. Just to be nice, which he himself didn't like to be rude to others. Zero really couldn’t answer every question the girl had for him, she asked too much simultaneous. He would only go along with what he positive sure he had heard out of her. And yes, your right, juice is good. But one question though. Why are you so interested in me? Lately it seems as if everyone wants friendship. Just wondering. He looked back at the stars and the barmaid seemed too tired for anything else. Zero mainly wondered about the Academy and Acedemy right now. But he would listen to every word she spoke to him. Maybe a chance of a new friend, perhaps. |
