| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Twas a night, much like any other, except it was coated in emotions that seemed to drown the soul's desires. The moon hung low in the sky, watching over her silent child: nature. She spilled light onto the land with love and smiled down upon the light bathed forest as she too felt a soft emotion flowing through the land. In the sky, the dark canvas that rested from horizon to horizon, also were scattered crumbs of porcelin that glowed like tiny diamonds. There were no clouds, but the night was colder than any before. The sillouettes of bare trees stood tall against the light of a nearby town, yet the night was beautiful and fluent with the talk of predators and prey among the wild. No color rested in view, for it was nearing winter, the season of love, when lover's walked hand in hand together, speaking of the past and their future. But one did not join in such bliss associations, instead she stood a top a tall hill that overlooked the small town below. As she looked down up the town tears swelled in her eyes. She bowed her head, releasing the tears of sorrow from her eyes and allowing them to stream down her sculptured features and to the bare ground, where grass normally lay and the tear screamed out in a voice so small that only those who held their breath to listen for it could hear it's breathless words. And it spoke to they, and told them of the woman's pain and of her loss, and they mourned for her loss and prayed that she be made whole again one day and mourn in her lover's name no more. A breeze, God's hand, stroked the hair of the woman, and whispered comforting words into her ears that filled her mind. The woman fell to her knees, her face buried in her hands as she remembered him and how much she missed him and how dearly she wished to touch him one more time and speak words of love into his ears. And God wrapped his arms around her small form and held her tight, and mourned with her. The woman paused, looking up to the stars that seemed to wink at her with joy. Oh, God of all God's, one and only, Father. Why hath the loss of my lover, Eden, burdened me so dearly? Is he not in a place, much better and more pure than this one will ever be? If so, why is it that I mourn and not praise you for taking him from this evil world? Why am I not grateful that he was wise and worthy enough to die and be born again with you? She paused, biting her bottom lip, as she thought of words to say. I shall mourn no longer of thy death, Dearest Eden, but I shall mourn for your absence here with me. If you are worthy enough to be with the one whom the Ancestors have cherish and praised for an eternity before us, then I shall bow down and cherish you aswell. She bit her lip and fell forward, pressing her chest into her thighs and her head bowed down. Soon, she stood back up and wiped her tears. She had with her a single rose, a dried rose. She smiled, the harvest is over. She looked down back at the town. I am done mourning, I must move on, before I drown in my sorrow. She spoke softly, but to Eden and God, whom sat in the heaven above and listened. I love you, Eden, you left me and I thought I would ever be able to live again, but what is life in mourning? I will remain worthy to you, to our love. She rubbed the pads of her fingers to her thumb to restore warmth to them, as she spoke. I will be strong again and I will be whole. Not today and not tomorrow, but there is hope. She smiled, and closed her eyes. I love you and one day, I will meet you at the gates of heaven and together wie will be, for all eternity more. She dropped the rose and listened to it fall, the sound of it being pulled down by gavity. She took in a deep breath and exhaled. And she felt better, she felt like he was there, with her. The sky formed clouds and a light shower of rain fell, answering her. She laughed and opened her eyes. Her chocolate colored curls had been left down but she wore a dress like no other. It was white, and was well fitted and tight around her bust and waist areas, then from their hung lose, hugging her hips and flaring at the bottom. She wore white slippers that laced with robbon around her ankles and white gloves. She smiled, a ribbon around her neck that hung a sea shell. It was a gift from Eden to her. It reminded her that his love for her was deeper and wider than the ocean and from shore to shore, he loved her. All the way round the world and off the ends of the earth, was how far he was willing to go for her and for her love. She smiled and took the priceless jewel into her hand and she felt him stroke her hair and kiss her cheek and whisper passionate words into her ear. She took in a deep breath and his love for her poured into her heart and pumped through her veins and circulated through her body and made her happy. |
