| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Mithranduir hates the marsh. But he had to pass through it anyway. So he decided to make the best of it. As he was entering Spiderhaunt Woods He got a chill down his spine. So he decided to pitch camp so he could wake up before dawn and get the heck out of this god-forsaken land. As he was starting to eat he heard a noise. He didn't know what to think so he silenly drew Narsil and waited. |

Once again he found himself in a place he would rather have avoided. Unfortunately, this was not an option now that he had turned so deep into the boggy marshes and found himself in a dark forest. He was a beacon in the shadow, his own armor radiating a welcomed light in an otherwise dreary environment. In annoyance, Talon was slashed downward through a low hanging branch, the enchanted blade easily severing the offending tree. Juine continued his pace through the woods as Jarreth dealt with the annoyance of plantlife. For a place that looked so dead, there was a lot of overcover on the path. Turning a blind corner past a thick wall of black bushes and trees, he spotted a man and a makeshift camp. Not expecting another person for at least another day of travel, he was inclined to know what the traveller was doing. "You there, what business have you in this dank place?" |

Mithranduir got up and said Oh. I am sorry for the mess I thought I wouldn't see another person for another day or two. My name is Mithranduir but my friends call me Mith. What is your name travler? I have been tracking some people and they are not a day ahead of me. So I set up camp here to get a good start before dawn......Where's my manners would you like something to eat? Mithranduir said pointing to the soup and meat where he was siting. |

"You may call me Jarreth," he said in simple response as the strange man fumbled around with his words and actions. For the sake of a tracker, he was not a tracker. This decision not made entirely by looks, but also due to a lack of dedication. Time was made up by riding through the night, not resting early. This was not Jarreth's business, in the end, so he decided to let it go for the while. Talon gave out its telltale ring as it was sheathed at Jarreth's side. He had no reason to aggressively hold a weapon in front of this man, so he remedied the situation quickly. His eyes drifted from Mithranduir to his camp and food. He had no interest in taking the man's food. A few rolls and some salted meat were safely tucked away in Juine's saddlebags, plenty for him to enjoy at a later time. "No thank you, I am not hungry, Mithranduir. You say you are tracking some people?" he asked in continuation of the conversation. |

Mithranduir put on his business face and said Yes. Of course I am no tracker but I try my best. These people slaughtered many people in Taras and Cascadia and the Oasis City. These guys killed many of my friends so I vowed to find them and kill them for ther deeds. Or try to find out why. I hope you don't mind if I eat while we talk. Please sit. Then he pointed to a log that was laying there. |

A metallic clank followed Jarreth's landing as his plate mail shifted from the impact and his celestial chain rattled against itself and the metal covering it. He dismounted Juine with ease learned from continual practice and the feathered mount immediately took to searching the forest floor for bugs or other food. Jarreth gave his friend a pat on the neck before stepping away and toward Mithranduir. His eyes watched the man's movements from beneath his helmet as he slowly sat down on the log he had been offered. It took creative craftsmanship to alter the legplates for sitting, but it was coming in handy. Turning his attention to the cooking fire, he watched the orange flames flicker and lick at the dark forest air. It had burnt down slightly but it was still warm. Not leaving his watch of the burning wood, he commented again. "Thank you. I have had similar vows made, to send those responsible for the death of innocents to their judgement. Might I ask the names of those you seek, Mithranduir?" |

Then Mithranduir stuck his fingers in the fire for a few minuets and the spoke The Bandits of Lock Loky. That is the group that went to murder my friends. I want to persicute them to the highest extent. Then Mithranduir withdrew his fingers from the fire and called Shadowfax from the Eathreal Plain so he could graze. |

He was disconcerted as he watched Mithranduir place his hand so willingly into the fire. He thought the man insane, but after a moment he noticed that he had no reaction to the heat. In fact, nothing had happened after the fire had enough time to cover his hands. Jarreth could only assume he had been wrong in judging this man. He thought the traveller to be of good spirit, but perhaps it was instead a sign of madness. Could the loss of his friends be so tragic that he torture himself in such a manner? Without a word, the insanity continued. Then, as if nothing had happened, he removed his unscathed hands from the campfire. Jarreth remained silent. With a strange call, the man spoke to nothingness. In response, the open patch of land was filled with what appeared to be a horse. It was a beautiful animal, but one fact remained: Jarreth hated magic. This explained the odd behaviour perfectly. From this new angle, he noticed an odd hue to the man's very skin, and his eyes glinted a shade of gold. Even wings were fairly hidden from sight, only visible by a stray shadow across his back. Jarreth now set next to a being of magic, a tainted and bastardized creature, consumed by the mysterious force that threw the world into chaos. He was now entirely glad to have avoided Mithranduir's food. Not able to hold back his voice any longer, he asked a question. "Why in the planes did you do that to yourself?" |

((OOC: Might want to revise your post. I have the celsetial Solar and he is highly resistant to fire. So putting my fingers in the fire for a few moments wouldn't hurt. I will edit this post when you edit yours.)) |
