| Welcome to Imythess, the border between dreams and reality. We hope you enjoy your visit. Imythess is a creative writing board where you narrate the story of a character in the medieval land of Imythess, on the planet Chaon. Each topic is an opportunity for your character to interact with the world and its peoples by cooperatively writing pieces of a story with other members, one post at a time. We call this role-playing, because you assume the identity of your character as if it were your own. In order to play, you must register an account for each character you would like to write about, and begin their tale by filling out their basic profile information: Race (human, elf, demon, etc.), class (warrior, mage, etc.), physical appearance, and any other personal details you would like to describe. You are also encouraged to come up with some background history information for what your character's life has been like up to the point at which their story in Imythess begins. There is no approval process or application required to join, so long as you follow the rules then you are free to write whatever character details you choose. Registration is simple, fast, and completely free. Create a character now! If you're already a member, you can log into your account below: |

Incubo walked down the cobblestone path towards the Village of Kellen. His footsteps echoed loudly of the walls of the Inns and houses as all was silent. Some would say his footsteps sounded like that of a horse. Bats flapped their wings frantically over his head and in all over the sky. He saw the silhouettes of bar fights in inns and the the occasional crash through windows as people were thrown out. Besides that all was silent. Incubo was beggining to get lonely now though. He whistled loudly, piercing the night air. Renor came running up, mouth open, tongue hanging out. Incubo chuckled as he knelt down to greet his faithful companion. He scratched his neck and let Renor lick his face. Incubo laughed again, "Yes, yes, it is good to see you too Renor." Incubo stood back up and began walking on. Renor trooted beside him breathing excitedly as if something would happen. Incubo spotted a well up ahead. His throat was dry and scratchy, and burned greatly as he swallowed his spit. He had just returnedfrom the Istan Desert. His cloack was still covered in some sand. He walked up to it and turned the handle, allowing the bucket to rise up slowly. When it reached the top Incubo unhooked it and drank the clear, cold water. It was soothing to his throat. He cupped his hands, allowing some water to gather, and splashed some on his face. That removed the sand from his eyes and hair. A gruff voice sounded behind him, "What'r you doin' with my drinkin' well, stranger?" Incubo turned around slowly, eyes hard and angry. "This well is for the town of Kellen and those who visit once in awhile. The well belongs to no one man. Now if you value what you call a life you will drop the subject and leave me to my peace." With that Incubo turned back around and walked away. "Oh, don't worry. I value my life, jess not as much as I value my drinkin' well!" The man snapped and charged towards Incubo. Incubo sighed and spun around quickly, throwing his Shadow dagger. It spun, so fast it looked like a chakram, and buried it self in the man's throat. The man feel to his knees, clawing the air uselessly. His eyes turned up ward just showing the white and died, gargling on the ground. Incubo walked over to the man and removed his dagger. He shook his head as he saw the blood and sheathed it. He cocked his head towards the man, gesturing to Renor that dinner was served. Once Renor was done Incubo walked over to an a house. He leaned up against it, putting his foot on the wall. He stuck his glaive in the ground, not wanting to hold it if he was not going to move. He looked around at his surroundings. Kellen was a very old town. It had been in Imythess for as long as he knew. The wooden signs above inns were tattered and some inns didn't have windows where their should be. All the house looked the same, the path looked the same, and all the men were still as drunk as they've ever been. "Nope... Nothing has changed a bit..." Incubo chuckled silently to himself. He unsheathed his Shadow Dagger once more. He wiped it off and held it to the white moon. It glinted off it's wan glow and then seemed to disappear in the shadows. Incubo smiled in satisfaction as he sheathed it once again... |

Adriell walked lightly into the town mere hours before sunset. And the young woman had been sneaking around ever since. Searching scenting and trying to figure out were Shard and Ariston had went...along with her weapons and most of her memories. She was very new to these lands. Her shifting form's had helped her a great deal in traveling. But then again Still people had sought her out and found her true form unknown. And now she stood. Human replica of her 'Other' Self. Her long ebony hair had been drawn up into braides and a bun the spikey ends of her ebony hair shot up in the back and faned out looking almost like a peacock's tail feathers. A light curtain of bangs fell before her eyes and she still only wore a half cloak that was buckled up and down the sides. Making it appear to be more of a dress at the moment. Her feet held nothing over her silken skin but odly enough she seemed not to get dirty by the earth she traipsed upon. Her Silver tribal markings all down her body and the right side of her face seemed to glitter in the night as she walked slowly unto the small town and made haste past a tavern. She halted though peeking in and watching the fight through the broken window. A man lay stuned on the ground. She glanced from him then to the tavern's inards. She blinked in curiousity and shiverd some, the slight act sent her tribals to shimmer once. Her white eyes with their gray pupils contracting at the dim light the black rims seemed to close in that which was the iris of her eye. She smiled lightly watching the fights and listening to the gosip and felt herself being pulled in. But slowly she let her hand slip across the window's frame and moved on down the street walking in and out of allies before finally crouching low like a feline and leaping up to find her footing on a roof top. A small light thud echoed from the sound. She continued her small journey through the town by rooftop when she heard by slight of ear the sounds of two men. Her ears' pricked and her curiousity buzzed. She leaped and alley way and made her way ever causiously to the edge and peeked down to see Incubo and the mortal trading words. She whisperd softly a word which no mortal could ever dream to hear, a power phrase of the anicent runes lanuage. And suddenly Adriell's vision was swept away and a new viberant colors replaced those of before. The ground and earth were browns of many sparkling shades the leaves and grass and plant life all glitterd emerald. And the buildings all a strange orange and brown meaning man made. But when she turned her eyes towards Incubo and the man she had expected to feel...well rather see both of them the shades of orange...of mortal. But As the man angrily yelled she noticed him to be the only mortal. But as her eyes passed over Incubo as the dagger flund itself from his grasp and sheithed itself in mortal flesh she noticed Incubo's color was bright violet. She quirked a delicate black brow and smirked. Whispering agian the bright viberant sparkles of magi sight vanished, replaced by a cats' vision for the night prowlings. "A demos, Interesting... Not the first though That I have found in this odd world." She then sliped back from the edge as she seen the worg come prancing up and then shifted. Suddenly her skin took on the luxurious fur of a panther and she leaped over another ledge and came down behind him. Shifting back ever so silently even making sure her bones creaked and crackled less noisily. She then peeked around the corner and smirked at him. Her white eyes ablaze. "So, Those of the Shadow's Hunt under the moon I see..." Her words were soft angelic. She still held many scratches and cuts along her face from the events the previous days at the shore line when she woke to find herself cast away from her other home, which ever it might have been. She looked at him but stayed partially hidden in the shadows of the alley and smiled ever so lightly. |

Incubo never turned back to look at who had spoken to him. He kept his eyes on the large moon before him. "Hunt? I should say not. That was more... self defense." Incubo looked down at the skeleton of the man that once was. "I suppose that I could have been less brutal..." Incubo smirked. Renor started barking ruthlessly at the voice. He gave him a glare that told him "It's ok, let it be...". Incubo disappeared and reappeared next to the woman in the shadows. "And for the Shadows, I find much easier to move around and not be seen." Incubo moved in front of the woman, revealing his deep red eyes. To human eyes, at least, all that could be seen were his eyes. He had a feeling she hasn't a typical human. How had she known that he was aligned with the Shadows, or just Evil in general. "I suppose you are also one with the Shadows also? I base this since you decide not to show yourself." Incubo stepped back only showing half of his face. The rest was covered by the shadows of the alley way. |

She looked over the Worg and then to the skeleton on the ground where once lay the man, a outspoken man at that. She then glanced away as she felt the shifts in air currents and felt Incubo appear next to her. "A bit rash are we?" She asks in her subtle angelic tones. And with that she smirked turning to where her back press against the building. Her eyes looking directly into his red orbs. Her eyes as cold as ice held no emotion but seemed to tempt the mortal minds into thinking she showed a reflection of something deep in her eyes. "And as for shadows...It is easy to move anywhere for me." She purred the last part about herself. Injoying the word games greatly. She then quirked a brow at his last statement, her eyes dancing with misteif. "Depends upon the way you base Good and Evil upon how you look at Me." She says looking down her black ebony bangs falling before her face. Her eyes turning to the ground and a strange saddness befell her features before she looked up again and into his crimson orbs. |

Incubo smirked. "Of course it his easy to move around anywhere. But to be seen is a different story. One who moves as fast as me is nearly impossible to see with the untrained eye." Incubo stared into the eyes of the woman but could find nothing. It was as if his thoughts were paused, or neutral at the mom-... That's it! Neutral... He smiled. This woman was very experienced. He bowed lowely to her, kissing her hand. "You are very wise young one, very wise indeed. I commend you on this. My name is Incubo Mortale, but most know me by Incubo." Incubo looked about his settings. It was dark and not very appealing at all. "If you don't mind me asking though, you must tell me, what would someone like yourself be doing in a place of hidden secrets and murderous men?" Incubo patted the top of Renors had. Now it seemed their were two pairs of deep red eyes floating. One at knee level and one soaring above average human height. ((OOC: Sorry for the two short posts, I've been out of it lately.)) |

Her eyes moved to follow his very move. As he kissed her hand and touched her skin she felt a shiver upon her arm's raising the hairs. She shiverd again and suddenly patterns of scales, feathers, fur and other various pelts appeared transparently upon her skin. She smirked at her skin's anxious want of shifting. She then returned her eyes to his as the Worg had joined them. "Ah brilliant isn't what most call me, more of Deviant then anything else." Her eyes glanced away and then back to Incubo. Smiling she nods "Very nice to meet you Incubo." She says pernouncing the word with fine detail. "But as for my name as far as many know I am Lotus...But having given me your full name I guess I can grant you the same curtiousy. "She paused before continueing. "My full birth name is Adriell Lotus Delesangre of the Delesangre Clans. " She smiled and mention nothing more about her 'Clans' Feeling it useful to toy with him and pull him more into the conversation. "And as for my well being and saftey...I can Hold my own in a fight or two" She smirked and looked down this time. She was holding many secrets indeed. |

Incubo's expression became confused as Lotus' skin tone became mixed with that of different animals. He decided to not ask about just now and went to lean against an inn wall in the darkness. He stuffed his hands in his cloak pockets and looked up at the glowing white gem that was the moon. A group of drunken men passed my yelling and laughing and swearing in the night air, however Lotus and he had not been noticed the darkness. Barbaric morons... Incubo thought to himself as one smashed a bottle on anothers head and broke out in a laughing fit. "The pleasure is mine, Lotus. An interesting name you have their. Seems their was a title thrown in their somewhere though..." Incubo smirked at his own tease. "Of the Delesangre Clan? I my times I've heard of quite a few of Clans, but not this one. This is something new to me. Then again, I don't believe I've ever seen you in Imythess before, so you are new to me in general." Incubo leaned his foot against the wall and quirked his eyebrow, "Please, elaborate on this clan you speak of..." Incubo could help but feel that she was keeping things deep to herself. This always happened to him, but yet he still wasn't used to it. He didn't like mysteriousness very much, even if he had been a bit mysterious to Astalder when he foretold what would happen to his homeland if he didn't come to Imythess to save himslef. It agrivated him, but he could never actually lash out, considering if he was wrong. He sighed, scratching the back of Renor's neck vigorously. |

She watched silently as the men passed by and another blank stare passed her eyes. She sighed and then turned to look back at Incubo. Smirking only slightly as he teased. Then hearing his questions she looked down turning to face wholy towards the moon. Then glanced back. "My Clan....If any are left of my kind. I seem to be the last of the Race my clan feeds upon." She looked back towards the moon. "The delesangre clan consists of One speices...and their Married of course. This family had deicated their lives to Protecting... But Past that I may not say what. "She says "Sorry if Mysteriousness bothers you...but you will find that I am nothing But a Mystery in the making. "She smiled agian and then looked down. "Perhaps I shouldn't have botherd you..." She says slowly making her way towards the end of the small alley. Turning back she gazed at him and smiled "Unless You feel inquired to ask more questions." She says a slight purr in her voice. Her skin seemed to be shimmering a light silver in the moonlight it soon vanished. She was silent then making sure not to draw out of him what he might not wish to ask anymore, or be driven away by him and his companion. Her eyes and memories shifted to the Worg. Her memories of her two brave companions...her guardians...her friends. Ariston and Shard. Where had they gone to. She had performed the spell many a many times trying to find them yet they hadn't answerd. She doubted they knew where she was for surely they would have come to her. Shaking her head lightly her ebony bangs floated along her face and coverd her icy eyes yet again. She then turned to look and focus back on him. She was being foolish, she never let her guard down, not even to friends. "Well..." She asks softly her eyes inquiring interest and mistief. <She dosn't exactly read Minds BUT she can catch small fragments of them when someone is speaking loudly in there mind. Sorry for the misunderstanding. > |
